Orin barely even had a few archery assetts. But it was enough to take on a few beetles and some tougher foes. Equipping the dagger he posesed, orin began searching the forest for insect, closely examining the area for any signs of the beetles found within that area. Thanks to his hunting skills, this would be a piece of cake to find them, and slay them. Orin was happy. He had remembered this world from some tales and legends, and knew that he would eventually amount to something quite major. Pleased to be in the lost lands, he dreamed of eventually becoming a mighty hero, albeit over a very long and difficult period of time. Thus, orin began his beetle hunt, glad to be in the lost lands.

As orin ventured into the forest, he suddenly had a level increase of notable proportions. His archery became better, allowing him to utilize bows, and hunting became a whole lot easier to accomplish, letting him find creatures and treasures much quicker and easier than before. Soon, he located a major beetle infestation, and was more than ready to use his shortbow to take down these beetles quickly and efficiently. Within minutes, he was targeting their upper weakspot with great accuracy and potency, allowing him to secure his quarry fast. In Just minutes, he had taken down 5 already, and had recovered the arrows he shot as well.

Overall, it was extremely easy, and very doable. Glad he was hunting and using his bow very efficiently, it was a great boon for survial. In the end, infact, he managed to secure another ration at practicly no cost.

Orin pondered the situaiton carefully, realizing he had the skills to tame a few beetles. As he eliminated another group of these beetles, he decided that the next group of creatures would be tamed. Even a simple wolf would be a valuable companion presently, and wouldnt take much to domesticate. It would be tricky, but he had the skills to do it. In the meantime, the beetles were being eliminated rather easily, infact, a bit too easily. It was a great start, providing some valuable experience and development. Then neil began taming a wolf. Taking some meat he had gained, he tried to feed the wolf, and discovered it enjoyed companionship. He had made a new friend, thus.

5 more beetles slayed.
New Companion: Wolf.

Orin gave up after a while, having eliminated 15 beetles. While it was a great start, there were many situaitons brewing, and he needed better supplies. Now that he had developed himself a bit more, it made sense to work on gaining better equipments, especially better bows and swords. The only problem was that he was not skilled in harvesting resources. However, neil knew there was a guy able to craft and develop powerful supplies. A dwarven engineer he had made friends with in his old reality. Neil considered talking with him about getting such resources, and finally having better equipments. Thus, he returned to the town, and decided to have him venture in these lands.
