Within moments, Krow's wings rapidly rushed back into her, her spine crackling and shifting. Her open cuts wove the skin back together, and the muscles were sewn together once more. The blood no longer flowed from her back, but from her lip, where she was biting it. She pushed herself up again, the pain flowing away. Her nails slowly shortened, and lost their once razor-blade sharpness. Her hair fanned out over her, and Krow sat up, rolling over and crossing her legs. She was...hyper? Wow. She hadn't felt this way in years. Looking up to Amir, she shook her head. "I've been a queen three times, a goddess four, and an angel of death my whole life. Don't you dare tell me you know what it's like to have people look at you with hope, love, and joy, then have to tear it down in one act of duty. I have finally found that, assasination is what I was made for. Yet, I hate killing." she shook her head again, and looked down. "Why is that? I'm the only one of my kind who is has a heart. But why? It only hurts me. Can you tell me how humans live with this...this pain, this emotion?!" |

Amir looked at her his grey eyes shining with compassion and pity while upon his face rested an all knowing smile which he was sure she would perceive to be infuriatingly smug “ you are far more powerful than the rest of your kind if this be the case emotion is not a detriment in battle sometimes it is the difference between life or death you have sat in judgment yes well your emotions determine weather or not you have done right or wrong we all must live with our pasts you have survived yours so bear the knowledge of all you’ve done and live proudly remember to never let your heart rule your head except in matters dealing with the heart then you shall be worthy“ with these words he bent to meet her soft lips in a smoldering continuation of their first meeting as he lost himself within the wonderful taste of moonlit nights graced by sin and the heady smell of lilies which only served to draw him in deeper finally he managed to pull away “let me leave?” he asked sweetly if somewhat breathlessly. |

Krow looked at his expression. What, why was he so smug? But, his words drew on her heartstrings...made her stand up and turn away. Emotions being good? Hardly. They're what caused her mother to betray her original suitor and have her with her demon father. Her, a half-breed bastard! Emotion is what caused her to drive her only love away. Mikeal. The only one who ever really understood. The only one who ever really created that spark... Krow turned back just in time to open her eyes wide in surprise, then let them fall slowly back down as warmth overtook her. That spark she was thinking about a few seconds ago snapped, crackled, then burst into flame. She brought her arms up and around his neck, then leaned into the powerful length of the human. Krow let out a small gasp as he pulled away, instinctively following, then pulling back, red with embarrassment. His next question made her slip her arms away from him, made herself not look at him. "I kill you, or I turn you in, then...I can stop! I can not have to do this anymore." But how could she? She had never had personal contact with her hits, never really found out who they were. Only thought of them as jobs. Not living, breathing beings... "I-I" she slumped her shoulders. "Snow's gonna kill me." she muttered. "Amir, you prove to me that the reason you had a hit out on you in the first place is wrong, I'll let you go. I won't seek contact with you again, and I'll turn down the 17mil. I would have gotten." She looked back. "Prove to me you're not the monster I am." |

Amir looked sadly into her azure eyes * is this what she thinks herself?* he questioned within his mind aloud he spoke quietly yet with truth of conviction ringing in his growling bass “you are no monster simply lonely pretty Krow money that was all you wanted?“ at this the Djinn laughed so deeply that the tears within his grey eyes rolled down his cheeks as he hadn’t since Solome tried to force him big and clumsy as he knew himself to be to dance at their wedding reception with but a Thought and a puff of blue smoke he produced 17 million dollars in American currency all in a wad with a rubber band securely around it at the shocked expression upon her lovely face he stated “ I am Djinn and I am free” thus saying he puffed his tea chest into existence changing the smoke to white this time to suit his tastes and checking that all was there he winked as playfully as he could “ and if you shall have me I shall stay for by Allah you I deem worthy ” he stated folding his tan arms across his chest and shaking his midnight mane in a somewhat haughty fashion daring any to challange a decision made by the commander of dragons. |

Krow smiled slightly, pretty? She was born as gorgeous as a being could be. And only to kill, destroy, and ruin people's lives. Not a monster? She was every bit a monster. Her looks draw you in, yes, as if she would need that. Poisonous feathers, wings in fact, were what made her what she was. Angels, ah, most of the untainted ones had wings of pure white. How many beings had wings of pure darkness? Hmm, not many. Feather-color was a way to tell what a person was really like. Her blood was basically acid! Three times more deadly than anything a human could create. Her claws, the sharpest thing in her arsenal, even sharper than her chain katana, which was nearly honed to the sharpness of a single atom. Everything about her screamed beast, monster, murderer. How could he believe anything else? When Amir made the money appear, Krow stared for a bit. Then, sighing, she looked away. "That's not all I'd need. your hit would count as three hundred of the larger assasination jobs. That's how many I have left. When I signed up for this, given my long life span, they gave me over 25 million hits until I am finished and can live out my life peacefully. Now, I have to...I have to continue." Crossing her arms over her chest and hugging herself as if she had suddenly gained a chill, Krow shrugged. "I don't need the money, not really. I've marauded with the best of the pirates, stolen from kings, and even hit it rich in oil plots. I'm set for a few more hundred years." After getting ready to turn and leave, Krow looked over and saw what Amir had. His words made her stare at him with surprise radiating from her. Trust? Worthy? How many people have told her she was so? Many...How many people had been hurt because of it? Many more. Maybe...just maybe she could start on working towards some GOOD karma points... Krow grinned. "By Allah? Well, can't disappoint Allah." a small laugh escaped her. "Amir, are you sure you just don't want some free housing and stuff?" |

Amir had a great chuckle at Allah’s expense when he heard Krow’s words and shook his head slightly as though to Indicate *no we should not disappoint him* "i'm a prince by our nature we love free stuff" he said grinning but the thought of her prediciment sobered him quickly enough and then the Djinn had a wonderful Idea it was a strategy that had won him his last battle against the invading Turks “ can you find me a dead body?” he asked Krow casually his grey eyes darting around quickly as he walked around the house preparing for what could soon be a war he did not know who Snow was but he found it always best to be prepared for the unexpected and so he took from the tea chest armor he had not worn in ages as he manifested a scimitar into his hand he would take the dead body she found make it’s appearance his and pray those Krow worked for would not know the difference and then…. She would be free and they could live well and if it didn’t work well Amir had lived a full life still he had no intentions of dying just yet . *I shall slaughter them all* he thought a grim smile upon his face. |

Krow stared. "Yes, of course. I always have a dead body laying around, let me go to deep freeze." she replied sarcastically. Her deep-blue eyes narrowed slightly. A scimitar? "What are you doi-" "KROW!" Krow looked over and saw her partner standing there, staring. "He's still alive? How?" Snow walked over to Amir and poked him, her white hair fluttering around her slightly. Her skin was cold to the touch. Nearly too cold. Her white-blue eyes looked him up and down. "I thought you were going to kill him and be done with this. That was my last hit, thanks to you. They had me kill him though." "Bring me the body..." krow said, then reworded it. "Please? I believe there's a way to not have to kill this one." "Always soft." snow replied, but did as she bid. A flurry of snow swirled around her, and then she was gone. Krow sighed. shaking her head. "Well, with any hope, maybe we could be rid of this..." Snow reappeared. She tossed down the man they had seen last night. He was frozen stiff...of course. "At your disposal, your majesty," she told krow, smiling. "Thank you, dear goddess." the girl replied. There was a deep camaraderie between the two. Of course, having been partners for several centuries could help with that. |

Amir held his Scimitar at the ready “A scimitar? "What are you doi-" she had almost questioned him but both of them were interrupted when a strident voice yelled "KROW!"as soon as he saw the mysterious blond woman walk in *this must be Snow she will not harm Krow not if I have any say in it* he decided but all thought went out of his head as well as warmth from his body “ That is very cold” he stated plainly grey eyes narrowing as she deigned to simply poke him in the chest who did she think she was…was she testing him? Lowering the blade he looked Snow in her icy eyes * you are rather presumptuous* he thought his face a mask of stone "He's still alive? How?" she questioned the other woman * because I’m good…very good* he thought a bit arrogantly after she had brought the body Amir kicked it slightly “this man is colder than a micro wave burrito” he grouched slightly Irritated with his body double’s current temperature in a wave of his hand and a puff of black smoke Amir duplicated his likeness going so far as to give the body the clothes Krow had first seen him in at the club “goddess you? Majesty you are Krow’s servant?" He questioned Snow while stepping back from the body a little it was quite unnerving to see oneself no longer among the living after all “Krow please order your servant to make me a sandwich….” He said grinning haughtily a wicked amusement glinting in his eyes. |

Snow's eyes fluttered slightly as she withheld her rage. "Servant? Servant!" Krow grimaced, wincing and drawing back as frost licked the air. "You, you..." "Calm down Snow. He's not here anymore." Krow's voice wove through Snow's head, and the girl backed down. She simply smiled, dissapeared, and left Amir a simple frozen hand print on his arm. Sounds were heard in the kitchen as Krow walked up to Amir. "Please don't do that. She's my friend, and as powerful as me. But believe me, I'm not nearly as harmed as her. You were a king, right? Ever been your own servant? She was one of the worst. And she carries that around with her. So, if you ever end up making her mad, believe me when I tell you she will not let you breathe anymore." With that said, Krow reached up and whispered into his ear, "and she's better at torture than I am." Snow reappeared in the room, holding a cheeseburger. She ate a bite of it, and smiled, looking at Amir. "Great idea. I was hungry." Krow's laugh echoed. "Snow, don't kill him. I've got to go turn this thing-" she kicdked the thawed body "-in." An hour later, Krow had still not returned, and Snow was getting evermore worried. Of course, it was easily told because the fire no longer sparked, warmed, or even moved. Ever seen a frozen drop of water? Try frozen fire. |

Amir looked at Krow askance his grey eyes showing how hard he was trying to understand her words *his own servant such an act was impossible wasn't it? he was only jesting with her did he still owe her an appology?* he thought on this while Snow's frozen hand print still lingered giving far more then a biting chill upon his arm huffing indignantly and crossing his arms over his chest he decided *no he most certainly did not it was not his fault she was inept* yet after Krow's prolonged absence he began to fear the worst and so walking over to Snow slowly as to show no hostile intent he bowed low before her his head touching the floor as he gave her his blade hilt first the words he next spoke came from his heart "Goddess forgive this foolish one what he said he ment only in jest ..... I fear for Krow's safty it has taken far too long perhaps we should?..." with these words spoken he lowered his head again to the floor he did not dare look into the icy eyes of the goddess for he was unworthy feeling the cold increase dramatically within the room it was then he realized she had frozen the fire. |

Snow glared. "Okay, first of all, I am not a goddess. It is simply what mortals have called us for years." she snapped, her worry breaking the surface. "Krow is in danger, hurt, or worse. And it's all your fault!" an icy wind blew through the house, pushing a few plates down and breaking them, the shards flying up and around. "Yes, we should go find her, but not you! They'll kill you, and me!" Krow whimpered, another kick shattering a rib. "I didn't know!" "For years, you were one of the best! Then you go and pull this." The person in front of her said, circling her. Krow strained against her bonds. Made of the hair of a harpy. She couldn't break through! "Let me go-" A blade ran right through her, pinning her to the chair. Blood escaped her mouth, and Krow looked up. The man had dissapeared, and in his place, snow came running. "K-krow?" she asked. "What did they do to you?" Krow swam into unconsciousness. All she knew was that Snow had pulled the knife from her, and frozen the wound. Snow reappeared in Krow's house, pushing back Amir and running to the couch. "You stupid bastard! You almost got her killed!" she cried, laying the battered girl on the cushions, and then running to the kitchen to find some cloth. "Don't touch her, her blood will kill you." |

Amir nodded at her words when she went to retrieve Krow he waited patiently for their return when they did his grey eyes widend as his caramel compexion paled " dear Allah no..." he almost wanted to scream but the words came out a breath instead the Djinn stood still after Snow pushed him back roughly simply accepting her accusation as his due the Djinn said not a word his grey eyes worried for krow but mostly for Snow the poor girl was very emotional right now it seemed and then he remembered that if their plan didn’t work he was still a targeted hit “I cannot put them in any more danger…” he murmured in realization walking over to Krow he knelt down and took off his diamond and amethyst wedding bangle and mindful of her blood slipped it upon her fore arm “ ma'a salama habbibi” (good bye my love) he whispered as he brushed a few of the silky midnight strands from her eyes and gently kissing her lips he arose * they will pay for my foolishness* he thought grimly walking through the residual residue of Snow’s portal he found himself in the holding place Krow had recently been in the men whom had been interrogating her previously were surprised to see their supposedly dead hit breathing Amir raised his scimitar " Allah akbar Shah hamaat!" ( god is great the king is dead) screaming a battle cry that would make a demon proud as he charged forward into the battle a thing full of sound and fury signifying nothing. |

A slight breeze wafted through the empty house past the woods. The current moved through the rooms, passing over each object, filling each nook and cranny. Finally, it settled on Krow, circling her, whispering, laughing. Heat radiated through the room, and the lights flickered. A deep-voiced whisper wove into the silence. "Wake up. It's time for you to wake up." A burning, flaring heat slipped through Krow's body, seeping into her very core, settling ion her bones. She gasped, her eyes flickering open as she arched her back in pain, a breathless gasp escaping her pale lips. The heat melted away, and Krow sat up, her eyes returning to their normal blue instead of their ferocious ruby-red. One word slipped past her lips. "Mikeal?" "Go. You're needed...I'll be here." was the reply, deepo brown eyes showing from the darkened corner of the room. "Seems your playmates need some help. You're welcome, of course." Krow wanted to run to him, but, something was off. Very off. The house was warm, quiet, and..."Where's Snow?" "As I said. They need help." Krow paled, rubbing her arms as if granted a chill. Her hand brushed against something foreign on her arm. Looking down, she saw the beautiful flicker of gold and gems. She'd seen this before. But where? "Amir!" With that, she lept out the window, opened her wings, and let the updraft given to her take her into the sky. White curled in the air as the young woman leaned against a building. Nearly all was silent, and Snow was praying to whatever was listening, that there would be no more. Her pale blue eyes shuttered themselves, the lids slowly slipping down as she fought to stand upright. The dumba** Amir had charged into battle with some of the agency's best assassins. Snow had to follow, because, like it or not, Krow seemed to have a thing for him. She hadn't killed him, that was for sure. Snow gave a half-hearted chuckle that soon turned into a fit of coughs. They had sent for backup. Most of the fighters that cam have left, taking with them their fallen comrades. Those that didn't...Well, Snow hoped that they were simply dead or running. She couldn't handle much more. Protecting the doofus after he was knocked unconscious then nearly claimed for the bounty by about 70 people was hard enough, but add to it that she had to look after her own skin, Snow was too tired to think right about now. A breeze swirled around the woman, making her pale white hair brush against her skin, and Snow gave a groan before looking up. Black feathers fell to the ground, piling around her. With a renewed sense of energy, Snow forced her body off the wall she was leaning against and ran into the welcoming embrace of her best friend. "Krow! Wh-H-" "Mikeal." That one spoken word made Snow back up and growl. "What?!" "He's back." "He-" "He's back. I didn't say that-" "He was taken by the guardians for a reason!" Krow winced, "I know. But, he-" "He betrayed you!" "Snow shut up!" Krow snapped. Snow looked away. Mikeal and Krow had a history. If you could call 7 thousand years a history. They were constantly causing things to happen. They ended up breaking four seals on the underworld door. "Mikeal is back. But, I don't know for how long. All he did was heal me and say he'd still be there when I got back. Now, what happened?" Snow grinned. "That douche bag you brought home ended up pi**ing off several elites. Then, they found out who he was after he took out about three of them. Gotta admit. Guy fights well. Wouldn't want to meet him in a dark alley without my abilities." Krow smiled slightly. "Where is he?" "I brought him to a safe place." "You had him beside you the whole time, didn't you?" "Yep. No safer place." Snow's grin bled away to a wince of pain as she coughed. "Go home. Now. And I can't stress this enough...leave Mikeal alone" Krow said. Within ten minutes, Krow found Amir, picked him up as one might a sack of potatoes, and flipped him over her shoulder, mindful of any unseen injuries. She leapt up into the sky, ripped her wings out once more, and took off for home. When she arrived at her dwelling place, Krow placed Amir on her bed, covered him with her silken comforter, and walked out to find Snow and Mikeal. Finding the two staring at eachother in the living room, Krow sighed. "Just like the old days, huh?" she muttered. "Now, we got the queen, goddess, and the man whore all together again." Mikeal perked up at hearing Krow's voice, and stepped over to her, cornering her against a wall, an arm on either side of her. "Missed you," he murmured, his voice slipping into his siren's song octave. He slid her up against him and pressed his lips against hers. Snow groaned as she witnessed the love play between the two. "get a room," she snapped. "Mine's taken." Krow replied, her thoughts far from anything concerning rooms and more closer to what Mikeal and her could do withing a few minutes. Then, her thoughts snapped back into focus. She pushed Mikeal away, shaking her head. "Da**it!" she said. "No! Not now! Not again!" With a satisfied smile, Snow pushed herself up from the counter she had been sitting on and walked out of the room. Krow soon followed. "We need to go and check on Amir..." Krow murmured. Snow nodded. About four hours later, Mikeal slipped up behind Krow as she stood beside Amir, changing the bandages on him. He wrapped his arms around her waist and placed him nose in the crook of her neck. Krow sighed, worried. She saw the man before her move, and gasped. EWhen his eyes opened, she wanted to dance for joy. Only..."Mikeal?" "Yea?" "Tell your 'friend' to go away." He laughed. "Fine. I'll be outside, in the hall." Krow smiled, and sat down on the bed. "Amir?" she asked, gently touching the side of his face. "You feeling any better?" |

Amir moved slightly into the warmth he felt upon his face the fragrance of lilies invaded his senses he slowly opened his grey eyes which were clouded by vestiges of pain “have I died? and been Judged finally?”he asked slowly looking up at Krow his only thought was that the verdict must have been very good indeed “are you hurt ? the darkness delivered aid, the snow goddess was so angry with me...she fights well indeed” he spoke in a soft rumble as he reached up a hand to softly graze her cheek " did we win?" at the unreadable look in her blue eyes The commander of Dragon's tried to sit up feeling the intense pain his body was in he cleared his mind * this body is an empty shell as this passes I remain it shall keep company with me yet not consume me* he chanted within his head falling back upon the bed he cursed " I cannot fail them again my troops need me!" he shouted as he lost himself for a second in a mixture of the past and present. -an hour later- he was garbed in his white cotton pants his torso arms and feet bandaged he moved agonizingly slow yet still he held himself with pride inclining his head to the three occupents as he walked into the kitchen to fix himself a meal he stated "goddess, habbibi, pretty boy who may or may not live to see tomorrow for not letting me die my glorious and well deserved death as Allah intended" walking over to Mikeal he sized him up almost too beautiful getting up in the man's face the way he used to with new recruits he asked "who are you boy? what do you do? is there a use for you besides wasting my patience breath and time you filthy son of a jackel?" his grey eyes were unreadable as he waited for the man's reply. |

Mikeal's face went blank. Krow recognized the look. "Uh-" "Shh! It's just getting good!" Snow said, covering the girl's mouth. Mikeal smiled, looking down slightly, his lashes covering his eyes. His hair flopped over his eyes slightly, and a grin spread across his lips. "My name is Mikeal. I am currently the new recruit for a guardian of secrets. Much better than any commander," he spit the words, his eyes looking up with a mixture of menace and mischief. "What do I do? Hmm." Looking to Krow he smirked, and he brushed a lock of shadow-black hair out of his eyes in such a sensual way, it would have made any movie/model green with envy. "Well, all I know is whatever I do, it always leaves them begging for more. "Now, as for 'is there a use for me'. Yes. You may or may not have heard of the seals beginning to break. We have a...how do you say...Apocalypse coming." Mikeal looked up to see Krow start staring. "One of the Oracles was seen here." His eyes turned hard. "The Celestial one, if I'm not mistaken. That means the Underworld and the Earthen Oracles will be showing up. It's my job to make sure they either don't meet, don't regain memories, and/or don't find the rest of the seals to the underworld and the celestial realm. Or else, everything you have ever held dear to you will be destroyed in the coming war." Mikeal then chuckled. "And, other than that, yea, I have a use. I'm here to take back what's mine. With or without the approval of the hierarchy. Krow looked over. A frown creased her brow when she noticed Snow looking slightly disappointed. What was wrong? Snow sighed. Her lashes fell down, hiding her expression. Mikeal, always going for the other one, the bad girl. ~You're not worth it.~ A voice whispered in her head. This time, she believed it, but Snow looked up and grinned. "Dumba**. Keep hinting, I'm gonna have to douse you in ice water. (How's that for a twist?) |
