A roughly circle shaped island with an S-shaped river that bisects it, giving the landmass a vague yin-yang-esque silhouette when viewed from high above. The river is wide enough to support most merchant vessels and mid-sized marine varieties. Marine Research and Development Base: Nicknamed "Hell's Garden", An expansive, well-equipped, and well-defended Marine center whose primary objective is to study a certain type of fruit that appears to grow only on Goya Island. As a result, a large portion of Hell's Garden's facilities take the appearance of a grand greenhouse where scientists can control the environment of their experiments to the smallest degree. The base also houses an impressive number of marine soldiers as a Defense force against any incoming pirates or hooligans and has all associated departments to support them: Barracks, Armory, Cantina, etc. Sanguine Town: The bustling merchant town that has, for the most part, taken over the port at the southern mouth of the river on the Island. The original founders made their living by selling the sort of everyday luxury items that a Marine wouldn't be able to find in their base, but it has since expanded to provide places for them to relax and not be reminded of work as well. As a result of the almost constant Marine presence, the townsfolk here don't fear pirates for the most part and, in fact, would be willing to extend their supplies and nightlife to any rogue seafarer that comes along if the price is right. Oh, and if they can avoid getting arrested. Though beginning as little more than shops built from converted merchant ships, Sanguine Town now sports a very Tudorbethan Architectural Style. |
