Kitsune

Kitsune (Kit-soon) are a normal bunch of people living normal lives or at least that’s what they will tell you. They are a quiet people who enjoy mental games and physical games that test reflexes and flexibility, that being said they actually enjoy games of all sorts as well as intellectual pursuits such as reading.

Skill Bonuses: +2 Acrobatics, +2 Athletics
Defence Bonus: +1 racial bonus to Will defence.

Racial Ability:

All fours: When crawling you gain a +2 to your Crawl speed and you can ignore up to 2 squares of naturally occurring difficult terrain. If you're wielding a weapon other then a light blade or wearing heavy armour or using a heavy shield, you cannot use this ability.
Flexible: whenever it is beneficial to be treated one size category smaller you are considered one size category smaller. And you may choose to gain training in Acrobatics or Athletics.
Fey Origin: Your ancestors were native to the Feywild, so you are considered a fey creature for the purpose of effects that relate to creature origin.
Racial Power: Kitsune Charm

With a cute look, a flirtatious wave or with the blow of a kiss, an enemy is attracted to you and moves closer.

Attack: Highest mental stat vs. Will
Effect: The enemy enters a trance like state and moves 3 squares towards by the most direct route regardless of any dangers in it's way.
Special: This power gains a +1 to attack rolls at level 1, increasing to +2 at level 6, +3 at level 11, +4 at level 16, +5 at level 21 and +6 at level 26

Physical Qualities:
They’re not overly tall usually standing at 4-5 feet tall, weighing between 75-95 lb. A Kitsune has a relatively (to a human) beautiful face, they cannot grow beards, or moustaches. They generally look like young humans or elves, but have the ears, teeth and tails of a fox. They also have a short light fur covering their bodies this is like normal human body hair but more abundant and not as course, it is always silky smooth and thus a female Kitsune needs not shave their legs, as it is nigh invisible and as soft or softer then bare skin.

The Kitsune pregnancy cycle is longer then humans, lasting from twelve to thirteen months, compared to the human nine. Though they carry longer, the ease of birth is better, faster and not as painful. The child will then grow up rather fast becoming mature between the ages five and six and are fully grown by the age of seven. Kitsune live a rather long life the oldest ever recorded age is four hundred and three, though the birth rate is usually three children to every couple over the full course of their lives. Kitsune always mate for life, and nearly always with another Kitsune. A Kitsune always gives birth to another Kitsune, there are no half breeds. A female mate of a Kitsune who is not a Kitsune will give birth to a child of its own race.

Kitsune attire:
Kitsune like forest colours or colours that match their mood, they are not into clothes with big floppy bits that can get caught on things, and they do not like to hamper their own movement preferring light armours if they had to wear any at all. They do like jewellery and other adornments but they prefer them to be close fitting or not over the top. Necklaces are a favourite.

Playing a Kitsune:
As a Kitsune you should be naturally curious and always moving, unless asleep, then you should be curled up, a kitsune is full of energy and somewhat hyperactive. Dispite this Kitsune are a quiet people and tend not to say anything unless they feel it’s important or needed to be said. This does not mean that they will not respond if asked a question, though they may think about it before answering. When they do talk they tend to be cheeky when happy or sarcastic when unhappy.

There are usually two types of Kitsune in combat, those that like to get in the thick of it, and those who like to find a nice safe vantage point and pick off the foe from afar. When in close combat try to keep moving about, try not to stay in the same square for more then one or two rounds and if in trouble drop to all fours and scamper out of there, or to somewhere safer to resume the assault from. As for the other type preferring ranged combat, Kitsune like to stay hidden and pop up to unleash an attack before dropping back into hiding or behind cover, they still move around a lot finding a new place to attack their foe from each time.
Insanity is the Emergency Exit, so smile… It's the only way out alive.
