Next time you even think of wondering whether things can get any worse --- don't. Or save yourself the trouble and jump off a building. At least you'll have more fun. Peter clenched his jaw as his latest attack proved futile and Eddie retaliated with an attack of his own, And I thought working 'inside' the Bugle was a health hazard...

    "And enters the relief catcher!"

Peter dropped into a low three point stance as Jessica redirected the concrete slab overhead. Somehow, a 'thanks' probably wouldn't have cut it in his situation so he shrugged in response to her question, "Don't ask me, no idea," he panted as he returned to his feet, "But there is a home run!" Spider-Man charged, hoping the arrival would prove to be a great enough distraction to revitalize his offense.

The webslinger darted forward, moving evasively until he planted both feet in Venom's shadow and lunged upward with a mighty uppercut, intending to transition into a flip kick off of his exposed chest and land clear of his opponent. No doubt Eddie had Peter outclassed in strength, the only chance was to hit hard and fast -- and get away before Venom could react.

The appearance of this new, Spider-Woman, was more than enough to catch Eddie's attention as the concrete slab went flying off in the distance. He roared out a little, the distraction apparently being Parker's signal to attack Brock. The hit in the chest hit it's target even though Venom's 'spider-sense' had warned. His head was moved out of the way however and when Peter kicked off his chest, Venom caught his leg, and with a quick turn, he sent Peter spiralling at Spider-Woman. Venom was on his tail again as he jumped across the to the building where Spider-Woman was at.

"Well, well, well, what do we have here? A forbidden romance Parker?" Laughed Brock through Venom's murderous voice. The symbiote pulled back to reveal Eddie's face, a look of hatred on it. The symbiote had only pulled back enough to reveal Brock's face, so it could cover it up, should they try something. Out of the corner of his eye, he looked down onto the street, seeing quite a large crowd of civillians gathering to see what was going on. "My, my, seems we have people interested in watching us. I wonder what would happen if I jumped down there and gave them a little...suprise?" Brock laughed, a hint of insanity being in his voice.

"You must be Spider-Woman, I've heard about you but I never thought I'd get the chance to expose both of your's secret identity's at once." Came Venom's voice again as the symbiote covered up Brock's face.

Swaying swiftly to the side, Jessica managed to avoid the flying body of Peter as it had been sent in her general direction. Yet as she looked on after him for one brief moment, her returning sights upon the large Venom would bring her to seeing him now closer and up within her face. If he could see her face behind her mask, it would show a moment of brief fear. After all, she had only known it was him through the thoughts that she and her original copy shared. Other than that, this would be her first meeting with the former Eddie Brock.

She wouldn't lie, his size was defiantly something that gave him much of his strength. So while he may have lacked in speed, the moment he grabbed you could mean the end of everything. So the heroine stood her ground, looking over the edge for a moment as she could see that a crowd was indeed growing below. If Venom wasn't drawn away, it was likely that he'd go down there and start all kinds of chaotic activity. Though his focused seem to just be on trying to reveal Spider-Man's true identity, as well as her own now that she was here.

But Jessica wouldn't let that happen, and she would keep him at bay in till Spider-Man came up with something. Though for now, she had a few ideas of her own. Looking into Brock's face as it slowly disappeared back into the black alien life that covered his body, the female then swiftly jumped backwards into the air, allowing herself to face Venom as she descended down towards the next rooftop that laid beside that of the Bugle.

"Might want to first focus on doing it first Brock!"

Extending her hands forwards, Spider-Woman then allowed each fingertip to send out web strands towards each of the creatures legs. Then, once she rolled backwards upon the roof below, she attempted to try and pull the creature down towards her. That way, it would keep it off the news building, and maybe get his attention off of Peter for a bit. It was risky, but she'd take the case for the time being.

This is why I only work nights....

"Not cool..." Peter flailed through the air after another failed attack. The strength behind Venom's throw made it difficult to reorient himself and he crashed back into the low hanging ledge on the other side of the building. The aging brick and mortar gave way upon collision and Spider-Man tumbled over, just barely stopping himself from falling when he managed to get a grip on the side wall. Hanging on, he looked back down towards the street. The bricks rained down on the near sidewalk, but luckily the Police had managed to keep spectators confined to the opposite side of the street.

Okay, can we officially cross that plan off the list or shall we go for the trifecta? he wondered bitterly, climbing back onto the rooftop and scanning the buildings for Eddie and Jessica, Where's S.H.I.E.L.D. now? Weren't they so eager to jump into my life at a moments notice just a couple months ago?

Spider-Man quickly crossed the space between the fighters, watching Jessica's effort to corral Venom. Taking a cue from Spider-Woman's web attack, leaped forward again, this time shoulder charging into Venom's back in order to help topple the beast to the lower rooftop. Hopefully, the combined effort was enough to take Eddie off balance.

The lease on the building adjacent to the Bugle had run out earlier that month and remained vacant in the wake of higher building costs. So already, it was a vast improvement of setting over the heavily populated Bugle Building for the dangerous battle. Ensuring the safety of the New Yorkers on street level was the biggest priority, this meant the pair had to subdue Brock as soon as possible to minimize damage.

Eddie was caught off guard by the attack from Spider-Woman. Even though the pulling wasn't budging the symbiote giant, the hit in the back, compliments of Spider-Man's shouder, did send him over the edge of the Bugle onto the one beside it. He landed with a sound thud on it, his weight causing him to create a crator in the roof, but when he slammed his fists into it, the roof gave way and he fell into the top floor. The fall helped him actually, it allowed him to hide and suprise them.

Brock sliced the webs off his feet and being a symbiote, turned his entire body into a snake-like being. It slithered off into the darkness of the dark halls and such of the building. This would be fun than Venom had previously thought. He could lose them in the darkness of the halls and such and he could make his way outside for a little, "fun" with the civillians. He slammed his fist into a wall, letting it echo as he found the stairs and jumped side to side. About a story a jump as he made his way down a few floors before walking into an office via a closed door.

He had just picked it randomly, figuring it would lead to the street and what do you know, it did. He took a few steps before running with loud thuds and bursting through the glass, slamming down into the ground with thundering force. Enough to create another impact crator though much greater in size than his previous one due to him actually initiating it. The civillians began to scream as the cops pulled there guns and such out, telling Brock to not move. Venom's voice came but he wasn't talking, he was laughing. A strange sight indeed, a 9 foot black giant cracking into an insane laughter. This would be much fun indeed thought Eddie.

Watching as Venom now appeared to be on street level, Spider-Woman looked towards Spider-Man and then back to the street. It was amazing how fast Brock could move, just about as impressive as the power backing up that suit of his. Yet she knew that it was just about as dangerous facing the terrors within than dealing with what they had to on the outside. In any case, Eddie was now out in public and would have to be stopped at all cost.

"So much for keeping him contained....."

Hearing the screams and shouts from below, it was only a matter of time before the police made their attempts at stopping Venom themselves, which would be a bad idea. The fact that he could easily drain them and that Eddie was likely to allow it in order to get his kicks, was what made it all the more important to try and handle it themselves. But with so many people, could they really keep him distracted long enough?

There was little time to pat himself on the back after toppling the giant. While the smoke cleared, Peter hopped up, landing beside Jessica and surveyed the damage, "Why can't people like us ever catch up over a pizza or something normal?" he asked while straightening up. Spider-Man rubbed his shoulder but a loud crash on street level prompted him to peek over the edge in time to see Venom break out of the building. Whatever questions he had for Jessica would have to wait, however, the police had begun to open fire and things could only get messy from there.

Peter jumped from the ledge into swan dive, following after Venom even as his mind screamed at himself, Jeez, what do I do now? Nothing's working! He caught a strand of webbing, swinging out of the dive and landing on top of a bus stop, "Hey ugly, your fly's open,"

As he spoke, the plan was suddenly forming. If they couldn't contain him, they would have to lead him away from where he could cause any major damage. For that to work, they would have to infuriate Eddie to the point where he acted blindly on the suit's instincts. Luckily, infuriating annoyance happened to be the Spider-Duo's specialty.

"Parker." He said outloud to himself. Over the crowd and the gun shots, no one could hear, which was lucky for Peter. He paid no mind to him as he was trying his best to keep Eddie occupied on him. Venom however, had his two white eyes set on the crowd of innocents across the road and the cops who were firing at him. At that, he began to walk across the road in the attempt to consume some of the humans and officers to help feed the suit even though they were bonded.

All Eddie had to do was eat really and the suit would be fed but the deal was he'd let the suit feed at times. Brock's identity was still a secret but he honestly didn't care about being revealed, its not like he could be stopped by the humans even tracked back to his lair in the condemned part of the city. What Brock enjoyed was the look Parker had on his face, even though the mask, Eddie knew he was nervous about Brock getting this close. He had been in range to grab them with his tentacles from the other side of the 4 lane highway, but he wanted to get closer to put Peter and Jessica on edge.

Jessica wished that Peter could see the smirk upon her face in response towards his comment, or maybe he already knew it was there? In any case, it appeared that normal was far out of their league at the moment and probably would be so long as people like Venom roamed the streets. Though them meeting outside of these events were rare, especially since they gave each other a lot of space. But she wouldn't lie and say she didn't like seeing him, or rather herself.Maybe it was better just not to try and figure it out.

As Spider-Man jumped down to try and gain the creature's attention, it seemed clear that he was more interested in getting a snack. These people had to be removed from the picture, but that was almost like getting people to leave in the middle of a money storm. But there had to be something to get his mind off of them, or at least enough to get him pissed off. Landing upon the top of a empty taxi, Jessica watched as Venom continued to draw nearer to the police and the people they were defending.

Come on..Think....I need something that will be strong enough to push him back....But what?!

Kneeling down in a three point position, she looked at the cab and then up at Venom as she began to form an idea of her own. Sliding off the top of the cab, the young girl used her strength to lift the vehicle over her head, holding it from its bottom frame with both hands. She didn't throw it just yet, but she was sure that the crowds points and gasps would be enough to give her away. Jessica had one shot at this, and if it worked, it would knock Brock to the side and stick him in between a wall and the cab.

"Sorry Venom....This is a no meal...Zone!"

With that, she tossed the cab like a javelin towards the side of Venom. All the while, Spider-Woman was praying to god that she had managed to do so in enough time. It had been such a risky move with him being only so far away from the crowds. Yet she was going with the idea that they would all run in fear from the monster and the car that was coming at him from his right.

Realizing Venom's hunger was able to override any other impulse, Spider-Man stepped down from the bus stop to counter Brock's advances. Once he was just a little further down the sidewalk from the civilians, Peter released a few more strong lines of webbing and gently (but more hastily) pulled several at a time out of harm's way.

"Mind if I cut in?" he asked the last citizen he led over. Then he pulled a small strand of webbing from the woman's fur coat and shook it away, "Um, don't worry, this stuff washes right out,"

Peter's attention returned to Venom as Jessica set her own plan into motion. The inevitable quip about how impossible it was to catch a cab in New York actually took a backseat to the hope that it would be enough to get the upper hand. They didn't need this conflict escalating any further than it already had, and if the pair could keep up the little game of 'keep away' chances were Venom's hunger would force him to make a hasty retreat in favor of a less resistant meal.

Spider-Man shuddered to think where he might find that, but Eddie's return after so long only strengthened the idea that he'd been out there all along.
