A Chance Meeting(Spider-Man/Spider-Woman)

The crowd did indeed give her away with the car over her head. Venom turned intime to see Parker yank some people out the way and upon further investigating, saw Jessica had thrown a car at him. He barely had time to react, putting both arms out in an attempt to soften the impact. It naturally worked but it wasn't enough to stop him from becoming airborne and being slammed through the wall of a nearby building. They seemed to want to keep in his element of the shadows as the behemoth slipped back into the darkness, becoming a pooly mess of the symbiote as he it slithered down the hall.

Brock would find a way around their attempts to stop him or perhaps he could just leave. Afterall, in his condemned area, their was all the food he wanted in the form of homeless people and the junkies that came their everyday to do their drugs without worrying about getting caught by the police.

Spider-Woman didn't waste any time, running directly towards the building after Venom was sent crashing into it. She honestly thought that he wouldn't have tried to catch it, but instead simply redirect it towards the crowd. Funny how people could surprise you, but them maybe this wasn't about getting a meal after all? In fact, the way he had been moving indicated something more subtle.

Was he just toying with us? Just trying to freak Peter out?

Jumping over the now damaged cab, Jessica looked around for any sign of the creature and finding nothing. He could have simply blended into the darkness, which would make this all the more difficult. She didn't want to just give up the chase, but she wasn't sure how long she'd be able to stick around. Spider-Man may have had a pass for being around, but Spider-Woman didn't

Peter followed after Jessica circumventing the cab and inspecting the large hole in the side of the next building. He strained to hear any indication of Venom's heading over the police sirens and the tentative applause from citizens who assumed the worst was over, "Brock! Jeez..." he shouted in frustration. What was this all about? And why now? Peter had already lived through this nightmare and suddenly it looked like it was happening all over again.

He's gone and you've got no answers. Plus we tore up a couple buildings... I've got the weirdest feeling that this could have turned out a lot better. And is it just me or is there a draft in here...?

Spider-Man narrowed his eyes as he picked at a loose thread on his shoulder and noticed the frayed hole extending down his bicep parallel to a cut he had picked up somewhere along fight. He glanced at Jessica, still unable to grasp exactly what the whole event meant, "Did we win?" he asked uncertainly.

'Cause it kinda feels like we just got our tuchas handed to us.

Jessica looked back at Peter, shaking her head as that question was an obvious no. Sure, they may have simply scared him off, but it wasn't likely that he would keep himself hidden for too much longer. Venom was back, and no one was safe. Looking at Spider-man, he wouldn't be able to see the concern on her face as she knew that this was likely tearing him apart. Things had been looking so well for him lately, only to go back to the point where he'd have to watch his back and that of his loved ones.

"I'll find him.....I promise I'll find him before he makes another move..."

She wanted to comfort him, to tell him that it would be ok. It wasn't likely that it would, but maybe her saying it could help in getting him to relax. If it were her in his position, she'd probably be in a panic as well.

The young hero paced across the sidewalk, "I don't --," he paused, fighting fragmented thoughts while trying to maintain his composure. Behind the pair, a helicopter was attempting to land in the wide intersection. He didn't need to turn around to know that S.H.I.E.L.D. had finally decided to send the Calvary, but it was too little too late; they would just have to deal with the clean-up.

Peter nodded his head numbly,"It's time to go," he said, unwilling to stick around and deal with Fury or whoever they had sent down this time. Spider-Man threw out a strand of web with a running start and took off swinging. His rhythm was all wrong, like driving furious, it showed in his tense movement. He wanted to scream and yell, throw a tantrum like a child, fight until he couldn't fight anymore but none of it would fix a thing.

The distraught webhead finally slowed down, dropping onto the roof of a building a few blocks. Distracted, he hadn't even checked if Jessica had taken the opportunity to follow. She was trying to help, he could understand that. In fact, without her intervention, the fight would have probably taken a nasty turn for the worse for anyone in red and blue pajamas. But this was...

Oh yeah, tell her it's personal. Because that makes total sense, what does she know about you? It seemed his sarcastic brain hadn't been affected by the roughing up he had taken. However, the biting remark rang with truth, this wasn't something he was going to put on her, "I searched weeks for Eddie," he finally said quietly.

"I know....."

Jessica landed upon the roof a few moments after he had departed from the scene. She knew that he was really in pain. Not only by the fact that Venom was back, but that it meant that everyone he cared about was in serious danger. It was likely that Eddie was already planning his next move in getting revenge, and that might very well mean an attack against Aunt May, Gwen, even Mary Jane. No one that he knew was safe, and there was probably nothing that she could say to make him feel better. But that didn't mean that she wouldn't try, that what he would do if it was someone else in that kind of position.

"There still a chance that he might not quickly strike back..Whatever he was trying to do today was simply just to freak you out. He's gonna wait for the right moment and time to strike, and maybe that will be the best time to get him..."

What was she saying? Was she really suggesting that she follow Peter around from now on? If not that, then at least be in the area of the house or even at school. It wasn't as if she'd really mind the idea? It gave her something to do other than work and....well...this. Also, it would help to have more than just one hero around since it was clear that taking on Venom alone was a difficult task.

I don't even know how I...I mean he did it last time...

Sharing memories was a pain, but at least it allowed her to be able to somewhat relate to her original counterpart. Maybe it was a help to him too, even if he wouldn't admit it straight out. Though she knew that one day, they would have to figure out what to do about that. There couldn't be two people that thought the same way in one city. One day, one of them was going to have to go. Which was likely going to be her.

"I was planning on going to school anyway..Maybe I can tag along for a bit? At least in till we know where he is. I mean how many dark alley ways could he actually hide in? If anything, he might be Hell's Kitchen..."

Looking over her shoulder at the scene below, Spider-Woman was becoming more relieved that SHIELD hadn't been too far. The area was somewhat of a mess, and it wouldn't really be Spider-Man they'd come for to blame. Not that it matter, she had her own deal now as well. But she hoped that it wouldn't come to her ever having to use it.

In the short time Peter Parker had been Spider-Man, how many times had he had this argument with himself? The situation changes, and suddenly his actions put family, friends, and innocent people at risk. Even if it would do him no good now, this was the point where the argument reached its peak and he considered hanging up the mask and calling quits. It was always the same.

Well except that this time I am, literally (in a sense) talking to myself, he noted while Jessica spoke. She was right, of course, Eddie was probably getting a kick out of the whole mess. It wouldn't be enough to just gain revenge, he wanted to see them get dragged along the whole way.

You know it's bad times when that's the comforting thought, he thought, but if that was what it took to be certain no one else was in the line of fire, Peter would take what he could, "Yeah, we'll definitely get him. Like we did tonight. Because that tota--" the realization of what else Jessica had said came in slow waves, "Going to s - like school school?"

For just the slightest moment, the severity of the situation with Venom was forgotten as Peter wrapped his head around the new concept. Having Jessica in the area was a plus, she had pretty much proved that tonight; and it wasn't worry that plagued him, she had a good head (Is that a compliment for me too?) and wouldn't do anything to put their identities in danger. So what was it, maybe just a little...

    Weird.

Plus, on top of Gwen "miraculous resurrection", letters from Tony Stark, and enrollment of Peter's "cousin", it might be a stretch to toss a "long lost twin" into the mix.

    But yeah, it's also weird.

Jessica could already see the gears spinning within Peter's head. He didn't even have to say it, she already knew. There was much that he had to explain to people already. Johnny, Gwen, could he really take one more? It was bad enough that he had a double swinging around already, but to have a female version of himself within school? As horrible as it may sound, it would be the best course for the time begin. Like she said, they would find Eddie again, but how fast he was located depended greatly on how much he wanted to play with Peter's life.

"I know it will be weird, but you know as well as I do that it would greatly help your chances of stopping him before he makes a move against anyone else. I can completely avoid you and now one even has to think that we're related. In fact, we can just pretty much state that we aren't. It will be hard to buy, but at least people want start wondering how many extended family members you have running around.."

Jessica then placed her hand on his shoulder as she looked at him. This had to be one of the longest days he had ever had. At least as of late. She wasn't sure if anything she was saying was helpful, or even making him feel better. It was the least she could do to try and keep his spirits up.

Spider-Man relented, he didn't have much fight in him for this, especially when they were sharing the same logic. Venom was a threat that needed more than the teenage Webhead to solve. If everyone was going to be safe, Peter needed all the help he could get, "You're right," he conceded. There was nothing they could do right now except make sure they were prepared for the next time Eddie decided to show his face.

It was a grim situation, but Jessica's efforts weren't lost on him. A grateful smile formed beneath his mask, "Thanks," he acknowledged earnestly. This was something new; Peter had tackled the first round alone and it had nearly undone him. Maybe this time would be different.

Fewer bruises and broken bones. Sounds like a vacation, his inner voice chimed in idly. Of course, big-time super heroes didn't get vacations, there was always something else to worry over, "...So school, huh? Aren't there like residency requirements and forms to fill out?" Peter asked uncertainly. The last time he had seen Jessica, she had said she was going to make a life for herself. Now he wondered how far along she had gotten, "I mean, you know, if you need something... what kind of genetic base template would I be if I didn't return the favor?"

Jessica looked towards the web slinger with a calm expression, though he wouldn't know it due to her mask. It was funny how easy it was to hide your expressions from behind its veil. If he had seen her face, he'd know that she was surprised to actually hear him suggest helping her out. Sure it was likely to be only a favor in return for what happened to today, but it was still a nice gesture. Though she wasn't sure if he could help her, since he already had Johnny under his name as a cousin. It just didn't seem believable that he would once again have another relative appear out of no where.

"I would take your offer, but I think two Parkers are enough for Midtown High. But don't worry..I have a place of my own and used a few connections to fake begin a dependent student. It may be difficult, but I can pull it off with enough of a performance..."

The girl had indeed worked the system enough so that they believed her to be a 16 year old who was living off her father's paychecks from all the way in L.A. The reason why she was here was due to personal interests within New York. It had convinced her land lord and was enough to get her a small time job downtown. Things had been pretty well so far, so what was there to stop her from getting into school with ease?

"But thanks......."
