Ren was very happy as he walked into the cafeteria with Dimitri-san. The ear-to-ear grin on his face simply wouldn't fade away. It was his first day here and he'd already made a wonderful friend! Dimitri-san was so nice, and he'd let Ren keep the picture of the other man's home! Of course, Dimitri-san was also extremely attractive. He wasn't as tall as Keiran, but he was much more exotic. A lot of people from western Europe ended up visiting Japan, and Ren had met enough of them over the years because of his father's business that the British and Irish didn't seem all that inherently different from most other nationalities he knew. Romanians, on the other hand, were rare in Japan, and Dimitri-san was the first Romanian that Ren had seen in his own home country.

Overall, Dimitri-san's lithe form and soulful eyes made Ren long for comfortable human contact once again. Unfortunately, Dimitri-san didn't seem nearly as comfortable with physical contact as Ren was. The younger man had avoided being within a foot of him for the entire trip here. Of course, maybe Dimitri-san wasn't used to having someone as affectionate as Ren near him. That was probably it. Dimitri-san had seemed fine with the hug. He'd even smiled! But maybe Ren kissing him on the cheek was too much for the teacher. Ren couldn't understand the problem with it himself, but he'd always been overly affectionate.

In any case, Ren was hungry, and a hungry Ren was never a happy Ren. Well, not for long in any case. "The food here looks great! Well, the teachers' food looks great. I kinda pity the students. I mean, this is a pretty up-scale place, but the students don't get very good food." 'What do I want? Hmmm... Let me see...' Ren looked around the room slowly, taking in all of the different options. "Oh! They have French cuisine! I haven't had a good French meal in a long time! Have you ever had French food, Dimitri-san?"

The entire journey from Ren's office to the cafeteria was made in relative silence. Well, silence on Dimitri's part, at least. Ren had chattered the entire way, but he didn't bring up the kiss, so Dimitri didn't mind letting the man ramble on about whatever he so pleased. Still feeling a touch uncomfortable with the situation, the young teacher made sure to keep as much distance between himself and Ren as politeness allowed - and it didn't allow much at all. However, Ren made no more attempts to hug or kiss the man, so the first-year teacher found their walk to the cafeteria to be rather enjoyable overall. By now, he simply assumed Ren's affectionate behavior stemmed from his open personality. It saved him much time and energy not worrying about what Ren's intentions had been.

Upon arriving, Dimitri found the large cafeteria surprisingly empty. Perhaps they had arrived before the usual dinner rush. Yes, the usual swarm didn't occur until six o'clock, and the two teachers had arrived at approximately five o'clock. They would have an easy time getting food and finding a seat; he could not say the same for the students who arrived at six. The sudden question about French cuisine pulled Dimitri's attention away from his meager observations and towards his ever-energetic, easily-excited peer. "No, Kurkami-san. I am sorry to say I have not been privileged enough to have enjoyed such delicacies as French cuisine." Most days, Dimitri felt perfectly fine knowing he had only ever been to Romania and Japan, but other times he became somewhat jealous of those who had been fortunate enough to travel to other foreign countries. Though he hid it well, having seen many of Ren's pictures and now hearing him gush over this foreign food made a twinge of jealousy spring up inside of him.

Ren laughed happily as Dimitri-san's response. "Then I guess I'll just have to introduce you to it! They have mushroom and onion crepes. Those should be really good if you like that. They've also got croissants, and if you haven't had one of those before, there's no way I'm letting you leave here without trying one! They're delicious, and when made properly, they almost melt in your mouth!" Ren continued to scour the french line with his eyes as he walked towards it. "Ooo! They have a bleu cheese and spinach souffle! I love that! Strawberry crepes? They have strawberry crepes?" Ren eyes began to water in joy. "We're both getting a strawberry crepe, and you are going to love it! If you don't, I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to look in your direction again."

Suddenly, Ren's eyes widened. A reverent expression crossed over his face as he slowly walked over to a particular section of the french line. "Chocolate eclairs..." He immediately turned to the woman handing out food and requested, "Ano... May I have five chocolate eclairs, please?" The plate of eclairs was soon handed to him and Ren just stared at the food lovingly before looking up at Dimitri-san and blushing. "What can I say? I love french pastries and chocolate."

Internally, Dimitri sweatdropped as Ren floated away into a world of fine French foods. No, he had never heard of half of those foods, let alone had any of them. Being raised in one home on a farm in a small town for eighteen years of your life tended to limit what foods you had ever tasted. And how was any of that even funny to the new teacher? His laughter was almost offensive. It almost said, "Oh, you poor commoner, you. You and your simplistic, backwards ways. Now I shall have to teach you all about the food of the upper class so you won't appear as simple as you clearly are." Luckily, the tone of the laughter was different enough for his laugh not to come across as completely arrogant. Instead, it simply confused the poor Romanian.

Despite his confusion, Dimitri couldn't help but smile at the enthusiastic teacher's reactions towards all of the French foods he recognized. He especially smiled at his reaction to the éclairs. "That is perfectly all right, Kurokami-san," he reassured with a soft chuckle. "We each have our own individual weaknesses. Now, I promise to try whatever you so desire me to. As I am certainly no connoisseur of French cuisine, I am entirely dependent upon your knowledge of it." He bowed slightly, acknowledging the new teacher's superiority in this regard.

Ren was simply ecstatic! Dimitri-san knew nothing about French food! That meant that Ren could indoctrinate the man into a new sort of cuisine, and Ren always loved teaching people more about food! If he was perfectly honest with himself, which he usually was, the only things Ren loved more than food were photography and Keiran. That being said, Ren was happy enough to order a half-serving of everything for Dimitri-san and then proceeded to order the souffle and two strawberry crepes for himself. Setting Dimitri-san's plates on a tray and handing it to the other man, Ren grabbed one of his eclairs and put on end in his mouth so that he could start eating while they went to find a table.

Luckily, there was an out of the way two-topper in one of the alcoves. Ren set his tray down on the table and rushed off to get a glass of blood for his daily drink. Blood tended to be much better from a live source, but Ren wasn't very fond of the idea of drinking from people. Of course, he'd done that when he was first turned, vampires didn't have much choice for the first few weeks. However, once Ren gained enough control to stop feeding from people, he'd found a blood bank nearby where one of the local vampires worked. The man sold bags of blood for 8000 yen each. It was rather expensive for the average vampire, but Ren was a little more well-off than most.

Returning with his glass, Ren sat down and took a large gulp. He moaned slightly as the blood flowed down his throat. He put his glass down and unconsciously licked his lips. Blood was so good! Sometimes, not even a chocolate eclair could match up. 'Speaking of, I should have another one!'

Dimitri watched interestedly as Ren pointed to foods he would get Dimitri to try ... which wound up being a bit of everything. The young man attempted to remember which foreign name went with which foreign food, but he didn't think he would remember much. It had been hard enough learning the names of foods in Japanese. Now to hear the names of French foods - spoken in a Japanese accent, nonetheless! - would confuse the poor guy. But he would still make the attempt. Why not try something new, right?

The small alcove the two teachers found suited Dimitri splendidly. It was the first of many that was off to the right. Beside the two-seater they sat at was a round table that could fit about eight. Then, closer to the entrance of the alcove was the same pattern of tables - one two-seater and one capable of eight. No one else was in the alcove, so that meant Dimitri wouldn't have to overhear any other conversations and could freely talk with Ren about Romania or photography or travels or French food or whatever else the talkative man wished.

As Ren departed right after they set their trays down, Dimitri also left to get a glass of water. Water had to be his favorite drink in the world. Some people said it was tasteless but it wasn't. And some said they would only drink it with a flavoring of some sort, but why ruin something already so perfect? That was Dimitri's thinking. Pure, unaltered water. Nothing could beat it. He returned shortly before the other teacher but waited politely for him to return before he ate. To be honest, when the man returned with a glass of blood, Dimitri felt a little disgusted. He fully understood that, as a vampire, Ren needed blood to survive. Yet, somehow, the sight of him actually drinking blood made him a little uncomfortable... But he would never let Ren know that!

Looking at Dimitri-san's drink, Ren commented, "Water, huh? I used to drink water all the time before I was changed. It's hard now, though. My body can process food pretty easily, but liquids just don't like me for some reason." Realizing that Dimitri hadn't yet begun to eat, Ren couldn't help but make a suggestion. "If you like mushrooms and onions, you should try that first. It should be pretty good, and crepes are generally lighter than most other french foods."

Ren dug into his bleu cheese and spinach souffle happily. Something about French food reminded him of home. Suddenly, it dawned on him. "We had a french maid for several years around the time I started learning how to cook. She taught me how to roll dough for different pastries and when to put the toppings on a crepe. Her name was Jacqueline. She liked me quite a bit. Once I got the hang of french cooking, she added new recipes and helped me with those, too. By the time she left to go back to France, I 'd learned how to make at least ten different types of french food. She was a really good friend, and she taught me a lot. I kinda miss her." Ren sighed a little before taking a bite of an eclair.

"I visited France a few years ago to try to find her. I looked everywhere, but she was gone. Nobody had seen her, not even her family. From what I could tell, she never made it home. I hope she's okay, but I can't help but think that something happened to her. Of course, that's probably because she had a fiance back in France. He was waiting for her to finish her job in my home so that they could get married. He never saw her again. He never got to say goodbye. No one did."

Ren's comment about water made some sense to the still slightly unnerved young man. Dimitri wasn't a vampire, and hadn't met any until his move here, so he couldn't fully understand, but he could and certainly would try to understand. "Water is by far the best drink I have ever encountered," he agreed; Dimitri wisely chose not to comment about Ren's change or its effects on the other man. Holding a conversation about that would be most difficult (not to mention a little uncomfortable) for the elemental. The young man had absolutely no problem taking Ren's word for it all.

Another thing he would take Ren's word on was the array of food currently sitting in front of him. Mushrooms and onions were eaten by the dozens in his family, so he felt beginning with the suggested dish would be safest. As he listened to the other man begin talking, Dimitri, with much refinement, picked up his utensils and began slowly to eat the mushroom-onion combination. The familiar taste of both vegetables - while certainly not quite the same as the mushroom-onion combinations back home - reminded him greatly of his mother's wonderful meals. He had to keep his attention focused on Ren's story to keep himself from drifting once again into his memories.

So far, Ren's story sounded rather pleasant. Dimitri had always seen cooking as another form of art but had never taken much time to learn. Sure, he would help his mother every now and then like he used to do as a child, but as he became more involved in school and art and girls (one girl specifically), cooking with his mother had slowly descended on his list of things to do. Right now, however, Dimitri longed more and more fervently to be beside his mother in their kitchen cooking up a delicious meal.

But now Ren's story took a turn for the worse! Pain and sympathy flooded through the Romanian, who kept his composure other than offering a small, apologetic frown. That story struck a chord with the young man that he didn't want to bring up any time soon. It had taken him months and months to work through the utter sorrow and hopelessness, and bringing it back up even now would not be the wisest thing to do. "I'm so terribly sorry for the loss, Kurokami-san," he gently and sincerely offered on the subject. "That is certainly a most painful state, one that no being should ever have to undergo." He knew it ... all too well.

Ren nodded slowly. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to bring up something so dreadful. It just... came out. Why don't we talk about something a little more cheerful, Dimitri-san?" Ren paused to think, taking another bite of his souffle. "I know! I've told you quite a bit about me. Tell me something about you! How do you like Japan? What are your favorite things? Are you looking forward to visiting your home again?" 'This souffle is really good! I hope Dimitri-san likes the food, too!' "By the way, you're more than welcome to call me Ren if you want to! I really don't mind! I know that some people are really strict about that, but I've always found it rather silly to be so caught up on honorifics."

His parents had never called him anything other than "son." They'd never even used his name when speaking to him. So he'd made all of his friends call him Ren when he started elementary. Even Sakuya had simply called him Ren. San, kun, or chan never got attached to his name. The servants in his house had called him Ren-sama, which was much less proper than most servants chose to call their employers, but Ren had insisted and his parents never found out about it. His teachers had called him Kurokami, with no honorific of any type because he had explained to them his hatred of those stupid monikers. Of course, Ren himself stuck with calling others by their proper titles, but that was only so that he didn't offend them. Moreover, unless they were a business partner, he'd switch to using first names, dropping honorifics, or creating nicknames without even considering how the other person felt about it. 'It's not as though I'm inconsiderate. I just don't understand the hang up.'

Moving on from the mushroom-and-onion … thing, Dimitri picked up a crescent-shaped piece of bread. What exactly had Ren called it? Certainly, it had sounded much more familiar to the Romanian than many of the other foods he listed, but for some reason he couldn’t remember what this bread was. Well, name aside, his first bite told him this might become his favorite French food. It tasted light and buttery and practically melted in Dimitri’s mouth. Perhaps this was that … word that Ren mentioned earlier? Hadn’t he said something about one of the foods melting in your mouth when prepared properly?

Hearing Ren’s desire for him to refer to the man by his given name, Dimitri could only respond with a small nod of his head. “If that is what you so desire…” Hopefully, the young man wouldn’t forget to call his peer “Ren-san” instead of “Kurokami-san”. Formality seemed quite ingrained in his mind, so he certainly would not drop any honorifics, but calling Ren by his first name didn’t seem to be that bad.

Now, it seemed, Ren wished for Dimitri to continue the conversation. Inwardly, he thanked the man ever so much for changing the subject because slowly but surely his mind was becoming consumed with excruciatingly painful memories. While he would put on a brave front and never let on that he was hurting, Dimitri didn’t know how long he would last in front of Ren with these particular memories resurfacing. So, a change of topic worked perfectly for the young, slightly depressed Romanian.

“You wish to know about me, Ren-san?” he repeated, remembering to use Ren’s first name. “I’m afraid there is not much to tell. I have not had the privilege of traveling as you yourself have done, so I have no exciting or fascinating photographs or stories to relay to you. For eighteen years of my life, I lived in the humble home you so graciously included in your magnificent photo collection. My house sits, as you know, far out of my town, and our traditions and even the way we live our daily lives have been handed down through generations. Not a great deal has changed since my great-great-grandparents lived in that very same house. Perhaps – in fact I know – it can be traced further back that even that. Our lives are simply led, and we rarely travel out of the town. My whole family consists of elementals like myself, though, of course, with different abilities than my own. I have six siblings, three younger and three older. My second eldest brother Andrei is to be married shortly, though the time and place I fear I have yet to hear from him.” A kind, gentle smile played on his face as he recalled his town, home, and family, and especially when he mentioned his brother’s upcoming marriage; however, a small glimmer of sadness flickered in his eyes as he thought about Andrei’s wedding. But, being the person he was, Dimitri pushed his emotions back and continued on.

“As I mentioned earlier, at eighteen I moved to the southern part of my country to study – mostly the arts, which, as I said before, are where my passions lie. Two years ago, I received a position teaching here. To be honest, these two years have been my first real encounters with others like myself and my family. So far, I must say my experiences in your fine country have been most enjoyable. I have traveled some during the summer, but I fear I have seen just about as much here as I have in Romania - which, sadly, is not all that much. And while I quite enjoy living in Japan, I have not been in Romania for two years, so I greatly miss my family and do desire to return home to them this summer. Is there anything else you wish to know, Ren-san?”

Ren was truly ecstatic when Dimitri-san started using his given name. It sounded almost sinful coming out of the Romanian's mouth. A smile stretched across Ren's face as contentment curled in his stomach. He could get used to this. Dimitri-san was so gentle, not like Keiran at all. Keiran could become very possessive and violent at times. Not that Ren usually minded, but there were times when it could get a bit rough between them. Even when they had first met, their relationship was rocky at best. Ren would accidentally say something to make Keiran angry, and the response would end in the shedding of blood, sweat, tears, or any combination therein. Any confrontations that Ren had with Dimitri would be tempered by the other man's calm presence and cool logic. Those very traits were a large part of what drew Ren to the younger man.

Ren's eyes widened when Dimitri-san mentioned the size of his family. To think that they were all elementals, as well! It was simply astounding! Dimitri-san seemed to have so much history surrounding his family. All of them living in the same house, generation after generation. Not only that, but Ren had managed to capture that exact house during his trip. The red thread of fate must have bound himself and Dimitri together. Of course, that sounded terribly romantic in Ren's head, but he had to admit that he wasn't averse to his relationship with Dimitri-san taking a turn in that direction. 'Wait! Bed Ren! Keiran's here now. I have to think about Keiran!' Taking another look at the man across from him, who seemed to be winding up, Ren sighed happily in his mind. 'Well, there's no harm in looking, right?'

"Would you tell me more about your family? I was an only child, but I always wanted siblings. To have such a large family must be wonderful." Ren's expression and voice became wistful as he thought of his past ambitions. "I always wanted to have a big family, a loving partner and many children, but that was never really an option for me. Especially not now..." Ren brought himself back to the present. 'In any case, I really would like to know more about your family. If you don't mind, of course!"

Eh? Ren wanted to hear more about Dimitri's family? Strange. He didn't think his family all that interesting, to be honest. They were simple country folk from a rather secluded part of Romania. They lived their lives one day at a time, just like everyone else. They had the same problems, annoyances, and joys as anyone else And, especially compared to Ren's exciting life, Dimitri could se no reason why the other man would want to hear about such simple people. But perhaps Dimitri didn't give his family enough credit. After all, he'd lived with them for eighteen years, so he grew quite accustomed to their flaws as well as their merits. Maybe there really was something interesting about his family. But what?

"As you wish, Ren-san," Dimitri replied with a small bow of his head. Since Ren mentioned he didn't have any siblings - something Dimitri couldn't imagine - he decided to begin there. Yet, how lonely it must have been for his fellow teacher growing up! Everyone Dimitri had ever known had siblings; or, if they were an only child, it was because their siblings died young or from some other mishap. Everyone had siblings where he came from. But to be alone as Ren must have been was something Dimitri absolutely couldn't comprehend. Even though he and his siblings had disagreements or fought with each other, Dimitri wouldn't wish to be an only child for anything in the world!

"As I stated a moment ago, I have three siblings who are older than myself and three who are younger. Costin is my eldest brother, and he is thirty. His element is metal. He is of a bigger build than my other brothers and I, and is more athletic than the rest of us. Outdoor work such as working the fields, chopping wood, or blacksmithing (which has become his profession) matches up perfectly with his likes and strengths. Andrei, my second eldest brother, is twenty-seven, and he is a stone elemental. He also enjoys outdoor work and has taken up stone-crafting. As you could imagine, these two have a closer bond with one another than I with them. Their age difference aside, their elements were much closer than mine and so they could relate to one another better. Their personalities also lined up quite well. When I was growing up, they would fondly tease me." Memories of his brothers playfully chasing him around the yard before tackling him and wrestling for a few minutes flooded his mind. Sometimes they would look at his drawings and laugh and poke fun at them, but then they would ruffle his hair and say, 'But seriously, Dimi, it's good.' Then they'd walk off with a grin, leaving Dimitri feel both perplexed and thoroughly pleased with himself and his artwork. "Well, I suppose it wasn't always as fun or brotherly as it might sound. Sometimes, they found the teasings funny while I found them annoying or cruel." He could remember his brothers in a slightly more sinister mood coming up to him and knocking his papers and pencils onto the ground, causing his sketches to become covered in jagged, dark lines that were impossible to erase completely. "But despite it all, they're my brothers, and I always looked up to them." A fond smile crossed his face. Teasing was what older siblings did, after all.

Keiran was furious. He was absolutely dragon-roaring, rip-the-head-off-an-innocent-bystander, destroy-an-army-single-handedly, jump-off-the-Empire-State-Building-just-to-see-if-you-can-crush-someone-on-the-way-down furious, and it was all that idiotic, Romanian boyfriend-stealer's fault. This was the first day he'd seen Ren in over a year and a half, and he hadn't seen him but for a few wonderful minutes before that man interrupted. Not only that, but Ren had started talking to Vladimirescu-san and all but ignored Keiran. Keiran didn't like being ignored. Keiran liked being ignored even less when it was Ren ignoring him. And you know that I hate being ignored. 'Don't even think about it, Shadow. This is my fight. Besides, I know I'll win. I got Ren once, didn't I?' Yes, but last time, there was no one to fight against. Last time, it was just you and Ren. Now, that Vladimirescu boy is hanging around. He's attractive and smart. He'll be a tough one to beat. 'Shut up! What do you know? Ren is mine, and I'll get him back. Just sit tight, Shadow. I have a plan... I think.'

Keiran had already gotten his dinner during his internal diatribe, but as student food, it didn't look very appetizing. The teachers had a French line... what he wouldn't do for French food right now. Keiran sighed longingly and gathered one glass of water and another of blood for Ren. He was sure the man would be here somewhere, and he was determined to find him. Walking into his usual area for dinner, Keiran looked into his habitual alcove only to see Ren and Vladimirescu-sensei sitting at his table. There was nothing left for him to do. Keiran walked directly over to the table, set his tray down, and put the glass of blood near Ren. Picking up his fork, Keiran grabbed a small section of Ren's souffle to eat before settling into his own food. Vladimirescu-sensei had been speaking about his family when Keiran sat down, but the youngest at the table paid no mind to the Romanian or to his own rudeness for not addressing the two teachers. They deserved it.

Dimitri-san's story about his family was fascinating! Ren was enjoying every moment of it! Large families had always intrigued him because of Ren's own practically non-existent parents and lack of any other relatives. But to have six siblings? It was amazing! Ren simply couldn't imagine living with so many, plus parents and grandparents, in that tiny house he had photographed. Nor could he imagine feeding or clothing so many on what must have been a paltry sum compared to what he knew his father had made. Then again, he supposed that having a simple life in a simple town would have helped with that immensely. After all, the less one can find to want, the less one wants it. When there is no want for an object, then there is no need to have it. Therefore, whatever would have been spent on the unneeded and unwanted object now becomes usable on something much more worthwhile, like food, clothing, and other such necessary things. It seemed very practical, but Ren didn't think he would be able to cope with living in such a non-materialistic world after having grown up the way he had.

Suddenly, a tray plopped down onto the side of the table. Ren turned his head to see Keiran standing with a very dark look in his eyes, one that promised a retribution that made Ren shiver in half-fear and half-anticipation. The younger man moved a glass toward Ren, and he didn't even need to look to know that the glass was filled with blood. For Keiran to be so accepting of Ren's vampirism this quickly must mean that something else had taken precedence for the time being. Keiran sat down and took a bite from Ren's souffle, completely ignoring Dimitri-san. "Keiran, be nice! If you're going to sit here, at least say hello! And don't eat my food!" There was no response, but Ren hadn't expected one, really.

"Anyway, Dimitri-san, those are your older brothers? They seem wonderful! For them to get along so well is very nice. Was one of them the one in the photograph? And what about the rest of your family? What are they like?"

The sudden appearance of Keiran caught the reminiscing Romanian off-guard. What was more, the young man radiated bitterness and vengeance, though, for what Dimitri had no idea. Something must have happened between the time Keiran ran out of Ren’s office and his arrival at the dinner table tonight. But what? Ren had mentioned something about one of the photos. What was it? … Something about … churches, if Dimitri remembered correctly. But, if he remembered correctly again, Ren never specified just what about them upset Keiran so much. Would the young man still be upset over the picture, though? Could that be the reason for his aggravated appearance?

Before Dimitri had much time to speculate about Keiran’s seemingly foul disposition or his lack of manners (which Dimitri could understand but still found quite rude), Ren’s inquisitive nature showed itself once more. With hardly a word towards Keiran, the other teacher immediately jumped right back into their previous conversation. Figuring Ren better knew how to handle the student’s actions, Dimitri chose to follow the man’s lead and answer the questions posed to him.

“Yes, Ren-san, the brother you saw in the photograph would be Costin, my eldest brother. The rest of my family, you ask? Well, I have a twenty-six-year-old sister named Iuliana. She, like my grandmother, is a water elemental. As my brothers did, so she too enjoyed teasing me. A water ball to my head or, on a crueler level, a wave of water on me and my papers were not uncommon.” But, like with the memories of his brothers, despite how cruel the pranks were at the time, the memories of his sister’s teasings brought fond smiles to his face. “Iuliana would always be there for me when it counted, though, just like Costin and Andrei. In fact—” Dimitri caught himself before he spoke that particular memory; he absolutely did not want anyone to know about that portion of his past. Unfortunately, though he could stop himself from speaking, he couldn’t keep himself from mentally reliving the best and worst two years of his life.

“Umm … I, uh … I also have three younger siblings, as I mentioned previously. My darling sister Ecaterina is a fifteen-year-old fire-starter. Her disposition is as charming as could ever be imagined, and her heart the kindest and most open." Just as she could do at home, his younger sister calmed his distressed mind. Even when she sat time zones away, the mere thought of her allowed him to recover from his earlier blunder and continue on with renewed strength. "She’s quite the curious one, Ecaterina. It seems to me as though she is in possession of two perfectly opposite yet perfectly synchronized personalities. On the one hand, she has quite shy and reserved; she puts herself before others, and innocence radiates from her every being. Yet, a fiery side appears quite often, as well. Ecaterina possesses a spark, I suppose one might say, that gives life and attitude to her otherwise quiet disposition. However, despite how contradictory these two sides may first seem, they work perfectly well together. You would need to meet her; I simply cannot describe my precious little sister.”

Now the only siblings he had yet to mention to Ren were the youngest two, the twins. Dimitri decided to pause a moment and allow Ren time to process his surely confusing description of Ecaterina.
