“The universe is a vast and boundless realm, full of countless races, civilizations, and organizes of all shapes and sizes. Of the nearly infinite number of souls that exist within this universe, there are a few that have the potential for greatness: The Awakened.

Some are born into this power: a birthright passed from generation to generation. Some are preordained to this calling: chosen by powers outside of their control. Others have this power given to them: ordinary citizens until that day of reckoning when everything changes. Regardless of their origins or identify one thing is consistent: They all have the potential for power and the capacity to break through their limits.

As a new Awakened, your path begins here. Are you a royal heir destined for the adventure of a lifetime? Are you a Space Pirate searching only for fame and fortune? Are you an ordinary soul just happen to be at the wrong place at the wrong time? The choice is up to you. The Universe is a vast and boundless realm, full of countless races, civilizations, and organizations of all shapes and sizes. You are but one of a nearly infinite number of souls, but this is just the beginning; The universe is full of trials and adventure, waiting for you to go out and explore. This is your awakening: Your story has just begun.”

"Nángoröth nángoröth nángoröth nángoröth nángoröth!" Curses rang from her throat as she ran through the makeshift shelters Mesianoko was famous, or infamously made up of. Once a project to build an underground worker-slash-living system for the less fortunate of Mars, this place was a slum in every meaning of the word. Unsurprisingly, this meant that less than savory characters often made this place their home, and poor, failing, confused artists, not so well versed in the common tongue didn't do so well here, especially when they glowed slightly in the dark, and had blue skin.

"Nángoröth du humans, nángoröth therr orothrim, un nángoröth therr edoc'sil vanta. Ekka edyr niat losna breasts wiol thorna seithar!" She thought, leaping over a sleeping homeless man. Odd that one would exist when homes are nothing more than four walls, and a roof. Though down here, often having four walls meant you were living pretty.

An alleyway blew by her, and she skidded to a halt, kicking up a few rocks as she tried to change direction suddenly. She slipped, scraping her hands and knees to break her fall while pushing herself back to her feet to dash down the dark hall. Her blueish skin glowed slightly in the dark, casting a slight bloom of purply-blue on the harsh metal and stone walls. Her saving grace was a large dumpster, which she used to its fullest extent to hide her glow.

"Iet. Aiedail." She muttered. The interior was fulled with something slimy and brown. It smelled like shit, and kind of felt like it to.

"Mor'ranr... Mor'ranr." She thought, trying to keep the image of what this actually was out of her mind.

Outside, the sound of footsteps on cool, rocky ground rang past and faded off into the distance. She was safe, well as safe as a person could be in a hell like this. With not so much effort she propped the lid open, and pulled herself out of the slimy muck of the trash. Taking a moment to let out an audible shudder, Dana Lyn Tell stepped out of the dark ally, and into the dim light of the main strip of Mesianoko.

"Dana?"

She nodded in response, placing a palm over her heart--the edges of her lips curved into a cute smile. She winked shyly; her name coming from him sounded to odd. She remarked from days past, as the humans had screamed obscenities at her whilst trying to force her to draw disgustingly, lewd things and bring them into reality. This was a more gentle soul, simply stating it. She felt a warmth.

His words fell on deaf ears, though Dana did catch the meaning here or there, she decided not to try to glean the meanings lest she misunderstand them. Certainly by this point she felt she'd gotten her point across that their languages didn't match up. Nexus; oh, she garnered that as a name. It was a word she'd heard a few times, but after going so long without understand a single word she'd come to find that inflection meant everything. Though usually that amount to "boob, breast-" Errr, or something she decided to shake from her mind. Her art was for more than lewdness.

However the rest flew- no, soared over her head. Drawing her lips back, and scrunching her eyebrows to convey her confusion, Dana simply let out a light bow, "Kvetha", she stated.

Pause.

Her eyes slowly grew wider, and wider, and darted back and forth. Why... wasn't he talking? Had she said something wrong? Was it all over? Was she about to be attacked, murder, taken advantage of? Melted down for cute Kveykian scrap--her head mounted on some human wall. Was she wrong, Nexus was a code word, good god it was a code word and now she was about to be crushed under the weight of some fallen sun. She shot a look up. Wait...

That was stupid.

Above her was the sheer metal of Mesianoko. Right, underground.

"Ehhh...-" She began, but he cut her off.

"OI. Dana...Lentils. DanaLen-Dee. Dee. Can I call you Dee? I'm calling you Dee. Hey, we-"

What kind of butchery game was this jacka-

Dana's train of thought froze as he gestured to his lips. A kiss. "Seithr" She cursed.

"Translator. Translate. We need-a-translator. And I'm pretty sure I can more than afford one down here. Come on."

"OH." She exclaimed. She'd caught the meaning. Translator. She smiled, hoping he hadn't caught her momentary lapse. She nodded, and headed with him towards the end of the alleyway. The hairs on the back of her neck began to frizz up, as he previous encounter started to rush back to her. All she could hope was that, that gang hadn't noticed Nexus' crash landing.

"Äfmor'ranr!" She cursed, suddenly spinning backwards at the sound of a huge bang. The trash bin was leveled. Eyes shooting upwards to look for the hole in the ceiling, she saw nothing, and the whispers of magic ran through her mind. He fight or flight sprang up suddenly, and in an instant her paintbrush graced her fingertips, mystic energy swirling about as she began to draw as she danced. Her fingertips sprang to life with energy as well as sparks screeched off them and hung in the air. Two slim lines that came to a stiff point. A ribbon of energy swirled just short of the tip, and tightened.

Her magic rushed to life, as the outlines filled in and brought two slim spears into reality. She gripped both, intertwining her paintbrush harshly between her fingers, and locking it into place against the force which she gripped on of the lances with. She spun them both as she dashed forwards, and threw one right at the sound. As it flew however, it tumbled end over end and stabbed uselessly into the ground just in front of the bin.

Dana froze as the dust cleared.

Some kid collapsed out of the bin, a jagged piece of metal stabbed through him violently, as some naked creature spoke to him, and then to the two of them. She shook her head. What was before her was nothing short of a demon. Tightening her grip on the lance, she crouched into a combative stance, and spoke a word. "Kveykva-ra" She growled, gracing them with her power suddenly. A low level shock built up around the remnants of the trash bin. Electricity darted between the metal shards for a few seconds before filling the area suddenly with a large burst of electricity that would paralyze anyone within range.

Nexus paused, hands still flown outwards gesturing towards the light at the end of the alleyway.
He wasn't normally so inclined to putting effort into partnerships or alliances in general. Waking up in the middle of the slums one morning with no apparent recollection of how or when you had gotten to this unforgiving planet kind of did that to a guy. How he'd gotten onto Mars was another story for another day when he had the energy for it.

"I promise you'll be fine. Maybe. I haven't been down here long so I really haven't worked out the statistics of survival rates down here, but you get the gist. Or rather you don't. I should probably stop talking since there really isn't any point because we still don't understand each other." Nexus continued to ramble as he glanced down the alleyway one last time; completely oblivious to the wreckage soaring over them and directly into the bin that he and Dana's friendship was birthed.

Nexus was knocked backwards as the impact exploded before him. A flurry of curses spilled from his lips as he drew his hand forward, palm opening to generate a tangible shield of light. As the dust and ash settled for a few seconds, Nexus drew his shield of light back into his palm in slow.

He noted two figures emerge from the wreckage, one injured, one...jesusfuckingchristthatchickisnaked. One female. Before Nexus could even utter a word in Dana's direction, he noted the blood falling from one of the figures as it collapsed.
Nexus blinked, bracing his self in a crouched position against the pavement. His palms emanated a bright translucence glow as he turned his attention to the two unfamiliar figures. The energy in his hands pulsated as the strange woman across the way began to transform into from something almost angelic, into a being much darker. Sinister.

Nexus had come across an array of beings during his time spent in this unholy underground, but nothing like this. This oncenakedwoman was now a complete opposite to everything he was made of; a composite of darkness that seemed to drain the light from everything surrounding it. Yeah--this was definitely not someone or something Nexus was planning on spending any time around.

He turned to Dana, sensing the energy she was building within herself. Oh for fucking Christ Sake please don't tell me the Smurf girl was about to do something they'd both regret.

"DEE. WAIT." Nexus growled, all of his kind and comical nature thrown out the metaphorical window and blow straight to cosmic plane consisting only of anxiety and fear. He threw himself forward, using his inhuman strength and speed to launch him forward toward Dana. He grabbed her wrist, the one wielding the weapon she had formed from energy alone. "We gotta' get-"

Nexus paused, hearing the dark shadowy figure speak as it unveiled itself. How it cradled its wounded other and spoke with a voice not of Nexus' world or even this, he imagined.

"Dee..." Nexus pulled his counterpart back, licking his lips in anticipation. His free hand grew brighter, it's ebbing glow pulling its energy from only within himself, seeing as the mysterious woman before them had almost but extinguished all natural sources of light.

Nexus' grip on Dana's wrists tightened in slight as the dark cloaked woman's words sauntered towards them. Her tone and drawl were almost as fluid as the mannerism she herself carried. Otherworldly Nexus would assume; if it hadn't been so apparent thanks to Smurf Girl that other worlds must exist. Maybe this was normal for Mars. Maybe this chick was an Angel but also...Devil? Nexus came from a world where technology bordered the lines between life and death and where men of all shapes and sizes could play the role of God. He was one of their creations, after all.

"Well..." Nexus motioned slowly between both he and Dana in slow; hesitation ticking away at the corner of his mouth as he spoke. "First off-" He motioned to the body downed behind the strange woman. "What the fuck." Nexus then motioned towards the woman, brows raised. "And secondly--whom the fuck are you?" Nexus let out the breath that he seemed to have been holding, almost relieved. A smirk crossed his face. "Also, we-" Nexus emphasized with comical grace. "We fell into that trash bin first, so. How about we all answer each others questions after we figure out if your...friend there is gonna' make it, agreed?"

The body was physically still Beatrice, but there was a flash, a tiny speck in the corner of her eye, that hinted that the flesh and blood standing before these two was just the puppet to a much larger entity. Oh! How she had missed the sensations of the physical world. It had been months since the last time Beatrice had floated off into the background, loosened her grip and submerged herself into the ocean of black that existed within their souls. Beatrice was all but asleep inside of her; this body was hers to do what she pleased with it.

She closed her eyes and took a moment to really intake all the pleasure and sensation of her body, the once bashful hands that belonged to Beatrice now seemed sensual and raw as they touched the sides of her face. It had been far too long since the last time she had felt this. The light air touching her skin, the feeling of the cold prickling across her, the sensation of her blood coursing and probing along every inch of her. It was an almost intoxicating experience. Her hands slid down her neck and firmly grouped her chest as she felt the waves of lung expanding and contracting, the sensation of the oxygen moving inside her sent delightful shivers down her spine. After a final breath inward she slowly opened her eyes and allowed her arms to flow downwards to her side.

Gracefully, her feet lifted off the ground and she assumed an elegant sitting position, crossing her right leg over her left. It was as if she was sitting on the air itself. She carefully placed her hands on top of her right knee. She wore an almost carnivorous smirk across her face.

"I can answer any questions you have for me, so long as your friend refrains from striking at me."

She slowly lifted her right hand and placed her pointer finger against her mouth, provocatively placing the tip of her finger against her lush lower lip.

"However, I cannot tell you who I am since I do not have a name. As for the boy over there, I cannot do anything more for him. Whether he lives or dies is now up to him" she paused momentarily before leaning into the two strangers. An unusual gleamed seemed to appear in her eyes "up to him...and the actions of you two."

A devilish smirk etched its way across the face that was once Beatrice's. The look of a predator smelling and craving the thought of her next meal.
The thought of it was....

delicious.

"[...]fuck [...]fuck."

Now, Dana wasn't to keen on concepts such as context, intonation. or... sentences. However, she was pretty decent with single words, and she knew what those words were. Although the rest of what anyone had said was drowned out to a meaningless gibberish of linguistic intentions. Fuck, was a word she unfortunately knew better than most, or at least she thought she did. With Nexus pointing at the trash can, woman, and possibly dead guy on the ground and saying "Fuck", not once, but twice, Dana could only draw one conclusion:

Trash can orgy

Dana's eyes slowly grew wider, and wider. Her heart jumped into her throat, beating wildly enough for her to choke on her own spit, and vomit. Forcing it back down, she slowly turned her head towards her arm, locked by Nexus' hand. An inhuman strength suddenly built up in her hand, as she wrenched her wrist away. A demonic rage build up in her as she stepped away from Nexus and she he jaw opened wide, given a string of curses exploding out in a wave of Kveykian.

"Ono Löva nángoröthai browbrun, sel blako dare ono. Eka weohnata garjzla ono un thornessa ikonaka blako kvera re brisingr. Blako, blako, blako, blako. Eka ero äfletta eom awë ono, ono dvergar. Ono un sem seithr, un du äflif Verg-Nexus-Kyn! Okra iet haldo, eka eddyr ai Kveykian Eldkatha, Néiat onr trusha seithr! Ono ni, moth du blako tos eom noi eka unin eom ai blako- MOTHIRO ACHÍ EKA NÉIAT SJON UNER! Älfrinn kothrorya voos! Eka hyo justa Knöfr ono no!"

Her paint brush jumped to her open hand again, and swirled with energy, as a million potential constructs jumped to her mind. The lines formed in the air, by the brush strokes she forced into existence. It was underwear, with a lock and key. Odd for her, this had no problems, save for the cat face she she drew on the front. One could assumed it was a fancy addition to the lock. She jumped into them in a moment as they materialized around her waist and locked tightly. She sneered at them both, considering the events.

...wait.

She paused in her rage, considering the events. Nexus could have attacked at any time, and judging by his speed and strength, she figured he was more than enough to overpower her. Her mind froze as a realization dawned on her. She was, and this was a difficult moment for her to consider, as rare as this ever was but, she was wrong. Now she simply looked dumb, with a feline entranced chastity belt, spear, and paintbrush. Saving face was impossibly however, at this point. She could only hope, that they would somehow miss her string of cursing, or perhaps stay focused on the dead kid on the ground.
