Waddling up to the button-eyed doll, Chou nudges its cotton-padded platemail in an attempt to shove it onto his back. It’s not quite easy, thanks to his still stubby wings and the lack of human assistance, but with enough effort he hoists the miniature man on his back! It feels as soft as it looks, if a little hefty for cotton- perhaps the doll’s body is stuffed with straw or hay. Balancing the toy on his back is a little tricky, given that he has no prior experience as a mount (Let alone a mount for an inanimate object), but as Chou begins to understand how it balances, he starts trotting along at a fair pace, making a few laps. Vitality up! Agility up! *Chou will continue to have the Knight Doll on his back until he unequips it. As Chou completes a sixth lap, he takes a brief respite, looking up at the sky with half-shut eyelids. The sun is almost directly overhead- it’s around afternoon, and the owners still haven’t come back yet. Well, of course they haven’t, today’s the day that Shirma and Cid work at the clinic and workshop, respectively, meaning they can’t return until around nightfall. They have to get their chocobo-raising funds from somewhere, don’t they? The books and bouncy ball are still laying about. A few leaves have brushed into the pond, but it remains otherwise clear. The shed and house are still locked, as is the fence- mind you, Chou can just BARELY fit through the fence by himself, it’s likely impossible with that doll on his back. What does Chou do now? Status

Let's become someone else. Perhaps with more depth of character.

A midday nap sounds good. I mean, Chou IS still a chick. |

Taking a gaping yawn, the little chocobo decides that it’s time to take a little nap. Nestling the knight on his back to a more comfortable positioning, Chou closes his eyes, letting his exhaustion turn into sweet slumber… … after a while, Chou gazes around to find himself standing atop a grassy island, the sky above him a yellow, misty void... no, it’s not just an island, it’s a village populated by Fat Chocobos. His distant obese relatives hail him, welcoming him to a feast in the large hut at the center of the village. At the other end of the village, however, a man with the garb of a Red Mage is wandering about, with company in the guises of a Dark Knight, a Dragoon, and a White Mage. Chou can hear their distant grumblings, their complaints that none of these chocobos are fit for riding and that they need a mount to reach this “Chaos” thingie. As they bicker over their course of action, they fail to notice Chou, who is fit for carrying the entire party. Also, a herd of unicorns is prancing about in the sky far overhead, leaving a rainbow trail in its wake. Because unicorns. What does Chou do? Status |
