For Naka, Could you set up a thread that is basically "My Current LPs" and constantly update the first post to link to the current playlists? Then we can keep that thread going indefinitely for all of the LPs you don't feel like creating a full thread about. Also, you'd be able to add little tidbits about things that happened offscreen, or even post Dr. GodPants vids of small things that you thought were interesting but got scrapped for one reason or another, like your first run at boss X. |

@JB That's certainly an idea. I think to start I'll just open it up and go from there, we'll see how much interest there is. @Candy I do rather like the idea of a large activity or event. I'm sad I don't have a claim-to-fame game-type to LP. Like Raocow currently doing the giant hack made from the Super Mario Bros. X make-a-good-level contest entries. I think that'd be awesome to do, but my LPs are a lot more scatter-shot, so I don't really have a solid community around anything in particular to fall on. |

You mentioned in a recent video (The Touhou Zelda-esque, I think?) that you would like to make Minecraft models of various games. That might be something a large group of people could get interested in. |

Another idea is to spice the forum up a little bit. And by that I mean adding some interesting features. Stuff like weekly poll topics, or perhaps a vote based member of the month system (something like that would require further discussion, of course). Maybe even a few contests every once in a while, a more official (and organized) version of Speedy's old monthly avatar contest comes to mind. I'm sure there's other ideas we could try, but that's all I could come up with. I also have a suggestion for Naka in maybe promoting the forum a little more. I feel like a quick video specifically for showing off VE would do wonders in attracting new members, though it may not exactly appeal to you. You could always start leaving a link to the forum in the descriptions for your let's play videos, that might cause a few people to join every now and again. Again, though, it might not appeal to you, but it's just a suggestion. |

BUNNY ON DA ROOOOF

tbch, outside the very few active roleplays going on in the RP subforum that I'm not entirely interested in anyway, I have nothing to do here. I'm not fond of the current forum games happening, and lately I only really come back to update my Elsword thread (since people are actually playing actively again) or change my avatar and signature (did that twice in the last couple months). One could argue that I could start something myself, but, again being honest, I've pretty much lost my passion and connection to a lot of the people here on the forums. I have the people I care about from this community in a Skype group already. I've even stopped attending streams as regularly as I used to. Outside of being a fan of Naka still, I kinda don't see a point in coming back anymore. Just typing this, I'm already bored. :/ as a side thought, since I actually read Candy's post above me after I posted this: A member of the month system is an awful idea. It's just a stupid popularity contest, and if I've observed anything objectively about this community, it's that a lot of members here are very vocal and adamant about their opinions. It wouldn't be unbaised at all; let's admit now that we have people here we'd vote for simply because they're xyz. Now, if you were to put semi-popular member A against semi-popular member B who are both not very well-known to anyone, then maybe we could be fair then. But seriously? If someone were to put, say, Milk against almost anyone else we all know who'd win that (and I will admit my bias now, unless the other person was me then hey, even more bias :U). I have to agree with Min, I no longer feel, or have any valid reason, to post on the forum. I used to, but that was a long time ago, and the reasons I had have long since dwindled. I mean, the only reason I really click onto the forum is because it's kind of there on my visited pages on Chrome, and it's a force of habit to check everything on there. Also, to be quite honest, I'd rather NOT link to someone else's forum on my videos. Especially when I'm only just starting up/trying to gain viewers, and I'm sure a lot of the others would agree with me. |

Okay, scratch the member of the month thing, that's a terrible idea. But I still hold to my other suggestions. Also, Retro, just an fyi, that last paragraph of my last post was purely directed at Naka and not anyone else, because I realize how silly it would be if someone else were to do that. |

Okay, before this gets a little personal. To the people saying they don't really have a reason to check the forum, might I ask why you would want to post? Like, what's made you lose the want to post? This may just be an ignorant question, since I'm not too big a forum person myself, so understanding the users is something I can't super easily do. |

Well, like Retro said, I only check on the forum out of pure habit. I don't really have a reason check it anymore, though, because there are literally no topics currently that I am interested in. Beside this one, which I created, so it'd be weird if I wasn't interested in it. This lack of interest, for me, partially stems from the fact that new topics are such a rarity these days, no one seems to want to make them, even though I'm pretty sure there are still plenty of good topics that have yet to be made. |

RP Origin
|
For me, it's generally a mentality of having higher priority... friend circles I"d rather manage, and just that generally posting on a forum is just inconvenient compared to my skype or IRC groups sifting through section after section, thread after thread for a post is just a hassle sometimes.. It also doesn't help that the last time I tried to make a topic, I got fairly thrashed at for making it and that REALLY dissuaded me from the attempt. Then there's the matter of dissonant subjects, a lot of what major forum goers seem to be into, I'm just not, I'll be honost, one of the few things that keep me coming back to this forum is you, Naka, you're a really cool guy and love having the potential opportunity to contact you or contribute to something you might be doing. With you, kinda leaving that end of the matter a little dry, I've had less reason to check it out as much. Though I have taken to joining an RP in a setting that I'm legitimately interested in in an attempt to bring back some of my own activity as a member of VE. |
