The changed Naku

Hello VE. I'm here to talk about sexuality. As far as I can gather I'm thinking all the regulars on the forum are straight. And as most of you know. I am not. I'm transgender and pansexual/Demisexual. (Not sure which one quite yet.) I propose that this can be a topic for discussion about why people have certain sexualities or as a place to "come out of the closet." But so far I'm the token "gay guy" here so I've got that going for me. I will be quite openly sexual if you talk to me. So with that I hope you all enjoy your day and hope you all get lucky out there with whatever gender you're looking for~ |

Fairly sure I've given up.

I'd think, based on what you've said thusfar, that you're more Gray-Pansexual than anything. Anyway, as for me.. I've yet to have any form of sexual or romantic attraction to anyone, so I figured there is a high chance I'm Asexual. If anything, I'm getting used to thinking I might be. Perhaps an Aromantic Asexual. As for gender, I will admit that I have moments when I wonder what it would be like if I were female, I identify with my born sex, thus I am a Cisgendered Male. I think that couldn't possibly have been said in a more 'PR' way. Edited by Speedy, Apr 22 2014, 12:28 PM.

I'd like to say I'm straight, but... I honestly can't say that with as much certainty as I would have two years ago. If we're gonna talk genders, though... I think I might be bigender. Or perhaps gender fluid. I dunno, they've always seemed the same to me. |

There's really no such thing as a Token [Sexuality] [Gender]. Most of the people here don't even care that much. I really dislike going into topics such as these, because I honestly don't care about sexualites, genders, or what have you, but the second you start demanding I refer to you as stupid "cutesy" pronouns (ie, faeself, et al) is when I lose my desire to think of you as a sensible person. It's whatever; a ton of the people who frequent (or used to frequent, anyway) the forums are pretty super-nonchalant about a ton of things, sexualities and gender identities included. If anything, the people I chose to keep company with are more willing to talk about their darkest fetishes than what happened at school, and that's fine with me. I do hope some people do feel comfortable enough with themselves to discuss this, though. |

Why is there no reblog button on VE? ![]() What Min said. My thoughts: Y'all are people. That's the only thing that matters. I don't care if you're in love with guys, girls, bananas, or trees. You're a person. |

Not sure why that belongs in this thread, to be honest.. it was made for discussion, I presume- not for going against labels. Though I do have to wonder why there is a definite lack of said discussion... Either way, doesn't seem like anyone is going to add to this. I think we can safely assume the majority of the board is at least heterosexual. Though on the other hand, that would make it seem like we're going by the old 'everyone is a guy' thought set. Perhaps we can use this topic to differentiate those who wish to differentiate themselves, similar to the 'Females of VE' topic. |

My main point, Speedy, was that we don't care enough about one another's sexualities to care about who is which one. There are so many grey lines here and there anyway; I find there's no real point to discussing them half-heartedly. Not that I'm trying to imply this thread is, but the "token gay guy" comment really rubbed me the wrong way, especially considering quite a few people take topics like this pretty seriously. I felt the need to let Naku know that he may consider himself "token" but we don't because we don't particularly give two thoughts about what his love and sexual preferences are. We're cool, open-minded people. End of paragraph. If you need an actual, semi-serious contribution, I would consider myself bi with a preference for men. My desires are about as free as my love for sweets; sometimes I like one person of one "black-and-white" gender, other times, I'd rather the other, like sometimes I like Zingers and others Orange Cupcakes. It sounds more complicated, maybe, since I'm terrible at explanations. tl;dr - I like dudes and women. Kanji can flip a table. Edited by Minmin-Sama, Apr 25 2014, 04:59 AM.

the token thing was just mainly a joke. But from what I learned from my human sexuality class in school: Sexuality isn't just about what gender you prefer, it's about who you are and what you care about. Also to Minmin: I absolutely love to talk about my fetishes. But if anyone is wanting to discuss that with me we would have to take it private |

I myself am panromantic (I believe so anyway at the moment, life's weird as heck). Sexual orientation? Heck if I know. Right now, it's just a blank line. A friend of mine has gathered me into the mindset that love should just happen. Hooray for open-mindedness. Although I will say that identifying as panromantic comes up with some questions like, "Isn't that like bisexual?" "Wait, romantic? Isn't it pansexual?" "There's more than two genders?" ...I've run into these, anyway. And then there's the whole "that doesn't exist" argument which I don't see the need to get into explanation about. I'm sure other minority orientations run into this too. |
