Well, I don't want to get too involved with this argume- *cough* I.. I mean debate. But, that being said, here is my two cents. Boarderlands was an awesome game. The controls were solid, on both PC and console, and the enimies were diverse, and the weapons were uinque, for the most part, and multiplayer was a blast. But, there were major problems with it. The game wasn't very fun single player, and after a while, it just became more of the same. It got old after around 15 hours, for me. It was a much better shooter than it was an RPG. Fallout, on the other hand, was exactly the opposite. It was a fantastic RPG, but the shooter mechanics were weak. The story telling was great, and the quests were fun and original, allowing you to do it how you wanted weather it be good or bad. When you got into combat, it went down, and fast. A lot of the enimies were really weak, and you could kill them with a few head shots via VATS. It was a better RPG than shooter. All and all, they were both great games, in their own sense, but you really can't compare them very well, cause they play completely differently. |

The one and only

Okay, good for him. Even though the areas look different, it's still too repetive, cause you do the same over and over again, not matter WHERE you are. FO3 happened in a post-apocalyptic nuked world. The title of the game is fucking "fallout", it's pretty obvious everything is gonna be dusty, because the Wasteland isn't supposed to be a place you WANT to be. The story of Borderlands was just cheap. Without mentioning it, the way you get to your goal is simply stupid, meaning very few of the quests you do actually has some relation to it, and when you get there, it's simply a major disappointment. If you CHEAT when you play on PC, then YES play on consoles @Melon: You say you don't want to get involved, yet you post that? You're pretty much involved now, sorry to break it to you. And what you said was mostly right, so there really isn't anything for me to argue against. |

All I picked up in this scuffle is that borderlands had a good story. Whoever said that needs a good bitchslap, NOW. The DLC got game of the year for a reason you know. also, I've noticed that a major part in this argument is single-player vs multiplayer. Personally, I feel like putting in multi-playe is a cheap way to get more people to play your game, but thats not me saying that I enjoy playing games with friends. Its just that there are a lot of things you can do in a single-player game that you cant do online. Things can get a lot more personal and thought-provoking when delving into a storyline. That being said, I personally didnt like fallout's story either because it relies too much on your decisions, to the point where its not really telling a story anymore, just explaining the consequences of your actions for your own self-satisfaction. Borderlands is still shit without DLC. Don't tell me the story was great, its not. I'm playing the game right now and I beat the main story yesterday, dont tell me how ingenious the script was, it wasnt. at all. no. Its a fun game for playing with friends and other weird shit. @Zondac: What I was trying to say was this: I don't want to pick a side, I just want to give my opinion in an intelligent and respectful way for people to think about. |

Fairly sure I've given up.

You know, fuck this shit. I'm going to be the better man around here and just stuff this. All we're doing is throwing opinions at each other anyway, and both sides are only throwing different opinions at those. We're getting no furthur. Fine, you like FO3 and dislike Borderlands, well I despise FO3 and <3 Borderlands. Fuck this shit. Back to Steam conversation. So hey, sales on Steam. Any of you wasted their money yet on something only to find out it's cheaper the NEXT DAY? |

I've tried it, but when I did, most of the servers were empty. :/ I love insurgency, though. |

Synergy was cool, but gets boring really fast without anyone willing to play. Playing KF lately, now. |
