Combos as kids are smaller, since you only have like 4 or 5 CC to work with... It gets much higher... I think my current CC for Asbel is 9-12. It's not like Tales of Vesperia where you can find some exploitable combos, or at least, exploitable combos for only one character... they are possible, but you need two characters.

I guess the massive drop off makes sense, since it had a much more limited audience and print run. It's not entirely dissimilar to Japan's graph either, even if it only sold half as well...

I know VGChartz isn't known for being the most accurate site, but I really hope it did better than that... Although I guess after comparing it to:

it's not terrible. The only problem is that ToGf has MUCH more localization costs... We're talking a full RPG script and about 95% VA'ed... *sighs*

Some people just don't know greatness...

Catherine had a lot of VA's in it too. A lot of talent there that cost a lot of money. And there's a ton of acting in it too. Not as much as an RPG, but still, lots of script.

I think the problem is A) ToG already came out for the Wii. B) The Tales series in general is not very widely known (compare to Final Fantasy, for example). C) There aren't many big names in it (Cheria's VA is the only one I can think of off the top of my head). And D) It starts out for a long time in the kiddie section. That gives it the feel of a kid's game for the first several hours. US gamers seem to enjoy their more mature types of games. At least, ones that don't involve 10 year olds as much.

Not to say ToGf isn't great, it just has marketing hurdles to overcome. And it really hasn't done much to overcome them.

Still loving the game, and I'm about 27 hours in. It's a fantastic game.

The localization is pretty great too. The story doesn't deviate too much from the classic Tales of style of story, but it certainly gets the job done.

I finished my first play through of Graces F not too long ago. Too which, I racked in around 100 hours and that was an amazingly fun time. Just have to do a few things to set up for my future 100% second play through, when ever that will be.

Probably my favorite part was the characters. I enjoyed the attachment I gained from the child arc, as well as how the characters changed throughout the story. But most of all, the character interaction was simply fantastic. That is easily my most favorite part of the entire game.

Fallowing just a small bit behind characters has to be the amazingly fun combat. I just love the CC system. Never having to worry about characters using too much mana and them being able to use whatever spell they want is glorious. As well as the A-Arte system being quite enjoyable with all the different combos for different situations.

As for the story I quite enjoyed it.

My only "complaint" would have to be that while I enjoyed the music, there was nothing that really stood out for me.

And in other news, Tales of Xillia is coming to the western market.

Glad to see somebody beat me to the Xillia post!

Honestly, I couldn't be happier about the news, and I doubt I could be more satisfied with my ToGf purchase. The game is just so well done on so many levels.

Hopefully Xillia takes the best of the Tales series in one game, although I heard it had some problems since it was rushed a bit to market to meet the Tales's 20th anniversary (a terrible idea, just check Sonic 06). Unlike Graces and Vesperia, it was worked on by both Team Symphonia and Team Destiny which is very intriguing.

I didn't know if someone has put it here yet or not, but Tales of Vesperia's movie is coming to AMERICA. It is about when Yuri was in the knights. =)

I'm pretty excited for Xillia, not gonna lie. I almost didn't get Graces f cause I wanted to wait for Xillia, but I eventually caved. Good thing too.
