It's really up to each and his own whether or not they decide to let their names be known. It is completely fine to keep it to yourself and close friends, but others can reveal their names if they so want to. That is a choice they make on their own. That said, it's not like we will go about calling each other by name unless we ourselves approve of it. I, for one, have, and it's pretty much my username as well, so I obviously don't have much of an issue with it. I even revealed my full name to someone, but I will not reveal who and I trust that the recipient will not spread the word either.

You may disagree with this topic, but we don't have anything against it. Just because it's here it doesn't mean we have to reveal ourselves, it's just here if we want to.

Why did E102 Unbound come on when I was reading Shane's post? That song made it read out like one of those Aesop speeches you might hear at the end of some shows.

Anyway, my first name is Mi-

I don't usually agree with putting names up on the internet either - especially if the name if unique. However, if the name is a fairly common one and it's already been posted around a lot in other places, then it shouldn't be as much of an issue.

I have seen plenty of "Anna"s on the internet, so I was able to post my name in confidence that if people were actually looking for me they would really have to make an effort to try and find me.

I'm Finnish. That means that I have a very weird name.

Jaakko. It's essentially the Finnish version of Jack, Santiago, Jacques, what have you.
