Eh, figured I may as well post here for those who don't know me in-game, or are too lazy to check the Steam Group to see if I'm around... my IGN is RainNero. I'm a one-character kind of guy on games like these, so if I'm not on him, I'm not on. Though of course everyone who's really consitently active in the guild already knows who I am and where I'd run off to because of the large drop in VE Spiral players.

Hey, Retro here!

Today, I decided I'd do something a bit different on Spiral Knights. Instead of doing a run, and getting Heat/Crowns, I went out and collected as many people wearing the Wolver branch as I could, to see if we could set a record. I got as many people as I could, and we gathered at Haven 16 for a photo:

As you can see, it's not quite a record, but I'm glad I did it. It shows how many people were willing to take part, even though they didn't have to.

Maybe I'll try this again in the week, see if we can get more.....

Shane and Wuffy venture into the Firestorm Citadel to show Lord Vanaduke who is boss.

That is right. Wuffy and I venture into the citadel along with my friend Aznricemasta and his comrade Scanneralpha, to take down the Duke in record time.
No, this is not a world record, it is entirely personal to us, but it was still quite impressive and it was lots of fun.

This video is recorded and published by WuffyWolffoot.

Commentating cast:

- Wuffy (Wolfkun)
- Shane (Shidara)
- Aqua (Akuasenshi)

Behold the glorious battle in the window below! Or click this link to watch it on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X_7Stnt6yr0&hd=1

Hail, Knights!

Today, the aces of Vagrant Epochers faced the challenges within the Shadow Lairs! The crew trekked through the Gloaming Wildwoods, which has been transformed into a forest of horror by the walking dead.
Ill prepared for Shadow as we were, our team fell twice on the very first floor, weighing more pressure on our shoulders. 20 energy was spent by Shidara and Zeakstarwind.

However, the rest of the woods seemed to be more forgiving, and with a little bit of effort and persistence the team came out victorious.

After the fight

But it doesn't end there. Far from. Having defeated a viciously powered-up boss they now stand before a dark realm known as but the Unknown Passage.
Due to equipment malfunction and otherwise hectic environment no photos were retrieved from the passage.

Having fought dark, seemingly never-ending hordes of the passage, the Knights prevail and manage to escape into the Sanctuary. Unfortunately, the power of the enemy was far too great, and yet another 20 energy was spent by Akuasenshi and Retro-Lad. Though this provided the group with enough vitality to hold out long enough to escape, Retro-Lad could not make it to the lift and was defeated and had to be pulled in by his comrades.

After the madness, a place for rest

Though they had reached the Sanctuary, the orb found within hints of an unknown force, now taking notice of our heroes with plans to dispose of them.
The group will carry on with their adventures through the Shadow Lairs, though for now, it is time for rest.

This ends the report of Shidara, Vagrant Epochers' Guild Master.
Special thanks to, Officers Retro-Lad and Zeakstarwind, and Recruit Akuasenshi for participating in the expedition.

So who else is pissed right off about the expansion missions being cash-only? If this is successful it may be the start of a worrying trend. Personally, I am refusing to purchase them until they make them available for CE.

I'm fine with it. It's £2.50 here, which is barely any cost at all. Paying real money is to be expected with this sort of thing, since it's basically DLC, and in return you get 3 tier'd missions you can run through as much as you want, and get insanely OP weapons in return.

Considering it's fairly cheap, I'm not really bothered by it. Were it proper expensive, then I'd protest against it, but €4,49 (or €2,99 should you get it sometime today before the offer expires) really isn't much. Besides, this is sort of an optional thing, King Tinkinzar and the Crimson Order being a side-quest so it isn't something you necessarily have to go through, but it's there should you wish to - in the form of a DLC. Had it been the Core, or something that has to do with the main storyline, then I'd understand the frustration but as it stands my opinion is that people are making too big of a fuss over this DLC and I do not agree with their arguments.

My biggest beef with it is that I already spent a lot of real money on CE and I should be allowed to use it for things like that. I also don't like the direction it implies for the future of the game.
