I'm not sure if it's been done before here (edit: Just looked again, it's on page 10. Oops), but has anyone created a list of everyone's favorite games? I won't throw a number down for how many to put, but I think it would be interesting to see just what games everyone really likes. As for me... Donkey Kong Country 2 (SNES) - still sets the standard for all 2D platformers I play. It takes dedication to beat a platformer this hard on a touchscreen phone, which I can proudly say I've done on my Droid X The World Ends With You (DS) - Great story, most unique battle system. If I ever start an LP, I'd start with this most likely. Tales of Vesperia/Symphonia (X360/GCN) - They're similar enough where I can lump them together I think. I need to play Abyss sometime... Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance (GCN) - I can't think of any other games I've beaten twice because my favorite character (Illyana) died during the last mission. Sonic Adventure 2 Battle (GCN) - Just now starting to lose some of its luster, but I still enjoy it. Trying to A rank everything now... Phantasy Star Online (GCN/PC) - I was a latecomer... Never had a Dreamcast Final Fantasy 6/9 (PS1) - Played them both for the same console. Both absolutely brilliant. Need to finish them sometime... LoZ Windwaker (GCN) - Vastly underated. Cell shaded graphics hold up well today. I want to emulate this in HD so badly... Super Mario RPG (SNES) - I still can't beat the final boss in this. I need to give it another try sometime... Sonic 2 (Gen) - My second favorite 2D platformer. Kingdom Hearts (PS2) - the original and still the best That's a big enough wall of text, I think. Feel free to comment/add your own. I'm not at all sure if there's already one of these, but either way, I'll add to this. A lot of my games are pretty obvious favorites. Disgaea: Hour of Darkness [PS2] - I adore this game above all else. The customization, the insanity of the special attack animations, the abundance of classes, and that's just about the gameplay. The story in HoD felt so much cleaner than any other game Nippon Ichi has created. The characters are just amazing, they flush out every detail of the story, and make every ridiculous joke even funnier. MOTHER 3 [GBA] - This game is a master piece. I loved the way the story was told, and how the characters were presented. I enjoyed the combo system as well. Even though I sucked so bad at it. I've sat around playing through this game over and over, even before the English patch was released. And who didn't adore Kumatora!? EarthBound [SNES] - Another masterpiece. This game was wacky, in a great way. I adored the humor and the way that it took itself seriously, while not taking itself seriously. This game gets a lot of praise, and deserves all of it, imo. Tales of Symphonia [GCN/PS2] - This is by far my favorite Action RPG of all time. The story, the character, the gameplay - All top notch! I've sat down and cleared this game a lot. At least 7 times. I've done ridiculous challenges, such as low level runs on maniac, beginning weapon runs, and solo character Abyssion runs. This game made me realize how amazing a well thought-out RPG could be. Brave Fencer Musashiden [PSX] - I love this game! So very much! I think this is one of Square's greatest creations! The story was amazing! It had the perfect mix of comedy, action and drama. The game play was that of an Adction-Adventure game, with RPG elements. This game was my first look at what Square could truly do, and I loved it! Musashi's hair is also the reason I love the colour purple. What guy isn't badass with purple hair? Don't answer that! MELTY BLOOD: Actress Again/Current Code [PS2/ARCD] - The speed, technique and flashiness of this series is amazing. I love fast paced fighters, but MELTY is another story. The ability it takes to succeed in the game is tremendous, but that's what makes it fun. Trying to find out what works, trying to break down your opponent, while keeping yourself safe during fast-paced action. The game has a pretty high learning curve, but if you've got patience, you can get good. Isn't it sad, Sacchin? ソラ (Sora) [PC] - A side scrolling shoot-em-up that's so amazingly flashy, it makes me wonder why it's so unknown. Orange-Juice needs to step up their popularity! This game has some of the most fun gameplay in a shmup ever. Relying on constant movement and grazing to keep your ass from getting kicked. It's extremely hard, but oh-so very fun! Sonic Battle [GBA] - This game was Awesome! It had a pretty interesting battle system, that was insanely fun, and an amazing customization option. The list of characters was pretty small, but they picked a great cast! Who doesn't love Cream!? The story was pretty damn well done as well! Except the ending. I'm still upset over that! There's a lot more, but I'll leave it at that. For now. |

I went about 8 pages deep and didn't see anything...I'll admit I didn't check the last few, but I wouldn't think it would be there... BTW, how many characters have you done a playthrough of Symphonia as? I've always wondered if someone beat it as all 8 (I know there are 9, but Kratos and Zelos are too close to change). I've only done it as Lloyd. Edit: There was one on Page 10... Darn... I guess I'm still not entirely sure of the Forum ettiquitte (sp?) for reviving posts. Would it have been better for me to revive that one? Sorry... >_> Edited by Ghoul, May 3 2011, 08:56 PM.

Lloyd, Presea, Colette, Sheena, and Raine some how . I usually play as Lloyd until I get Presea, then I jump around. If I'm playing with friends, I'm always using Presea. I just adore her. |

Wow. I'm impressed. I haven't played in a long time, and I do remember Presea being the definition of awesome, but the character most similar to her in Vesperia (Weapon wise) is really, really hard to play as. There's a beginning of a boss fight where you play as him, and all I did was hide and heal myself (thankfully it's timed). |

Sounds annoying. I didn't play much of Vesperia. I watched a friend play through it over a weekend, but I didn't partake in any of the game. I think it's one of the...3 or so Tales games I haven't personally played. |

Oh a Favorite Games Topic? Let's start..... Gran Turismo Series (1-5) Playstation 1-3 OH.MY.GOD. How can you not love these games, they made my childhood completely, and well,IT'S AWESOME AND I DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR OPINION: ![]() Minecraft (PC) Come on,you know you love this as much as I do. EarthBound (SNES) I love the Mother series with a passion, and here is where it all began for me. The only game released in NA,EarthBound. AudioSurf (PC) Okay, this game,is fun. Funner than Rock Band can ever be. Oh and REDALiCE Lucky Star Opening with mods = 1044 traffic,so fun and fast! Touhou 12.3 ~ Hisoutensoku (PC) If you play a game for a very long period of time,it starts to stick on to your soul. This is mine. Thanks Cal,you made this game become a plague on my brain. In a good way. Trackmania Nations Forever (PC) THE BEST FREE CAR GAME ON PC RIGHT NOW! And the tracks are all so creative! Mario Kart Wii (Wii of course!) The only game that I can totally wreck people on without shooting them. Out drifting is good for your health people! Speaking of shooting.... Touhou 8 ~ Imperishable Night (PC) and Touhou 5 ~ Mystic Square Imperishable and Mystic are both here because they were the first two games I played Touhou wise. And my god Mystic Square is the first game I completed Stage 6! One last one alright! MapleStory (PC) Original Mapler right here. Been on that thing since the beginning.......version 20 I think. Went through 3 accounts, one Fighter, one Assassin, and one Mech. I like a lot of games for a reason,SO I DON'T GET BORED! |

Vesperia is brilliant. I genuinely like every single character in the party (make it really hard to make one...). The only "problem" (if it has one) is that Rita (the equivalent of Genis) is impossibly easy to abuse (case in point http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3iwViNMefIo 2141 hit combo). It's a reverse nerf from Symphonia, where Genis was kind of useless IMO. Everything else is absolutely amazing, and the Rita "problem" is an easy fix; just let the CPU use her. If you have a 360, get it immediately. |

Of course LL was the one doing that! Lol. Genis was FAR from useless, you just actually had to screw with his EX-skills. My Genis was a KSer... The main reason I haven't played Vesperia is because I don't own a 360, and I never plan on owning one. |

Fair enough. It's the only game that's gotten a significant amount of playtime on mine. That may change when I finally get Portal 1 and 2... As far as Symphonia goes, if I can ever find my first disk again, I think I want to play as Kratos/Zelos. I have to imagine Raine would be the hardest to beat it as. Although she was one of the rare other characters I used when I wasn't Lloyd, mostly because I wouldn't have to learn a new fighting style. Her counterpart in Vesperia (Estelle) is awesome, both in story and abilities. @SoBoredGamer I actually have only played one of those... MKWii. It's a fun game for sure, although I prefer 64 for nostalgia reasons. I've wanted to try Minecraft, but I tend to dislike FPS's so I decided against it. Now, if they did a Portal/Minecraft crossover, I would throw my money at them. |
