You seriously need to try it out, though Beta needs a graphics card to work.

I've got an Intel integrated one in my laptop... All I use it for gaming wise is as a N64 emulator (does passably for a majority of games) and for PSO Schthack (works fine on low settings everywhere other than bosses... Stupid De Rol Le). My biggest problem is that I don't control my own credit cards (worked well for the PSN crisis) so I tend to use cards for what cash won't buy, which isn't feasible for Minecraft. About the only thing I use my credit card for is Android Apps. (and only a select few emulators at that).
I'm not really an FPS guy anyway, and I'm not nearly as creative as most Minecrafters are.

Lord of Nightmares
Raptr will speak more efficently but I try to summarize it:

The Top 10 Best Games among all I ever played in my life:
Septerra Core (Best of the Bests, it even suprasses Melty Blood, epic story, smooth gameplay, and it's difficulty is hard)
Melty Blood Acress Again: Current Code v1.05 (best of all 2D fighting games)
Ninja Gaiden 2 (blood...death....and VENGEANCE and it's difficulty is unreal XD)
Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations (unbelivable awesome Story)
BlazBlue Continuum Shift 1 and 2
Runaway: A Twist of Fate (Pendulo Studios greatest point-and-click adventure game work)
The Curse of Monkey Island (one of the best adventure games created ever, thx Lucas Arts)
Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 (zombie killing is always awesome!)
King of Fighters Maximum Impact Regulation (one of the two 3D fighting games that I play, the other one is Soul Calibur series)
Uncharted 1-2-3 (I can't play this game since it's PS3 only, but I love this game, seen countless youtube vids)

Don't play with fire, kids.
I'll betcha that my list will be very different. I don't have very many games, or the time to play through a lot of the old or indie games, but here are my favorites that I've at least picked up:

SNES
Super Mario 3 - All Stars Edition
Super Mario Kart
Donkey Kong Country

N64
Mario Kart 64
Donkey Kong 64, if only for the co-op

PlayStation
Final Fantasy VII (I bought a PS just for this game)

PS2
Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec
Final Fantasy XII (I know! But the graphics were amazing, and I still say the story was Awesome, so shut it)
Lord of the Rings: Return of the King (Can beat this only using Faramir. It's possible. Every level except the Gandalf one early on.)
Need For Speed: Most Wanted

Xbox 360
Final Fantasy XIII (Amazing game. I don't care what the haters say. I love this game.)
Rock Band 3

PC
Portal
Portal 2
Super Meat Boy (haven't gotten very far, but it's Awesome.)

Honorary mentions go to the following games I haven't played:
Heavy Rain
.hack//Quadrilogy

I will also point out that the closest thing on my list to a FPS I have is Portal. Not a big fan.

There's actually a lot more variety here than I expected, although the games tend to be slightly skewed towards eastern styles.

I think that's to be expected. I would say my list is about the most Western on here. It's just that Japan makes so many interesting games.
