Don't play with fire, kids.

Yes, Adam sucks. I attribute that to Adam sucking more than Samus not being Samus. Cause Adam sucks. And Samus is Awesome. |

Accurate representation of my internet self. Don't like it? I don't aim to please you.

It's kinda sad that most if not all RPGs/Games, the female lead tends to have a strong story throughout the entire game, yet they're not the person you want to control, they always end up the sideline character in your party/group. Yet your main character is fighting for her. Edited by Alkaira, May 14 2011, 07:53 AM.

^ Also, Mario and Zelda. You know what Nintendo could have done for NSMBW? Instead of having two toads, which makes no sense, really, they could put Daisy in there. Or at the very least, Waluigi and Wario, but they aren't women. |

Fairly sure I've given up.
|
You cant exactly say that. Paula or Kumatora havent exactly been the most important characters in the Mother games, despite the role they play. Both Ness and Lucas still take the spotlight. Before you ask why I dont talk about Ninten and his girl, well thats cause I havent played Mother 1 and I dare not judge it before I play it. |

Master of Darkness! Bwahaha!

No, it's not completely gone. All they did was give her a shred of humanity, and, god forbid, a few feminine traits. Don't see why she can't be both. Don't fault her character for lousy dialogue. The whole script was awkward. Don't forget either that in most games she had no personality at all, being completely mute. And with Yokoi dead, and the series having meant to be only a trilogy ending with Super Metroid, anything done with her now is akin to fanfiction, merely interpretations of what she is capable of being. Again, I liked Other M's Samus. It's not all that fun seeing it cited over and over and over of what not to do with a female lead... Ease up a little on the hate, guys. Please. More-or-less prepared for the stars...
|
I believe Extra Credits has an episode about how Other M should have been done. And I agree about the script. "Baby, baby, baby, baby, father, father, father, father, thumbs-down." Oh geez, it was grating. But back on topic. |

Take for example, Kingdom Hearts. You're going around fighting using Sora, the keyblade wielder, but most of the time, they're talking about Kairi. KAIRI. (who, btw, got some nice figure in KH2.) Another blatant example is Grandia. The first part is all about Justin, but once you reach about 1/8th of Disc One, and then the entirety of Disc Two, it's all about Feena, Feena, Feena, Feena and Feena. To the point where she gets caught, turns into something, caught, and ends up a very important (and powerful character) |
