Okay, I'm having a major issue right now. I'm trying to see if I can log into the US PSN from my Asian account. No dice on that. However, is it possible for me to create a US PSN account, buy all the crap I wanna buy, install it, then switch PSN accounts and play them? And if that's the case, do I need a completely new user profile on my PS3 or can I still use my own profile? Example: Rock Band 3 - US game. Rock Band DLCs - Only found in US PSN. My PS3 - Asian. Will it work? Edited by Alkaira, Jun 12 2011, 06:23 AM.

RB DLCs are only on US PSN?! That's like... the entire point of Rock Band. First off, I don't know if it will work, just saying that. All I say is speculation. We all know the differences between NTSC, PAL, and whatever other versions are out there... those are for the discs, and I doubt they exist on the DLC. You may want to try getting an American friend to temporarily change their password and have you attempt to log in from your PS. If you can do that, then your theory might work. It might not. RB DLCs (for Xbox at least) require one of two things to work on a console: they require either to be played on the username signed in, or to be installed on that console originally (not an external drive, for instance). Hope this helps, and check my info cause I could be wrong. |

Confirmed for doki-doki tier.

It can possibly work. A friend of mine has made a Japanese PSN account and gotten games from the Japanese Store. (Also, there's a Youtuber by the name of "MasterLL" who does that exact same thing. He buys both the Japanese releases of games, and the US releases, -and gets the DLC for both through the respective region stores.) I'm sure you should be able to do something along those lines. I'm just not sure how since I don't own a PS3. Edited by Milk, Jun 12 2011, 10:21 AM.

You can. PS3s aren't region locked. I've gotten demos from the JP PSN store and played them on my US account. Not terribly difficult. |

Fairly sure I've given up.

Go to the US playstation site, create an account there, log into it from your PS3. Tadaah, US PSN account. Will this cause issues with your Korean account? Maybe. You're better off waiting for the Korean release of the Rock Band DLC, since I'm getting overloaded by Rock Band PSP DLC on my european version, and I do not doubt that the european PS3 has the same deal. |
