I actually like Naku's suggestion. And it's a very intriguing idea, Speedy. |

I'd go with Cyil. I'm not sure, but it sounds unique for what seems like a unique story I'm sure. |

Fairly sure I've given up.

You know, I'd normally ask for more suggestions or start a vote, but I think it's kinda obvious you guys are quite leaning towards the female 'Cyil'. I have no idea how you pronounce that, to be honest. But whatever. I'll work with it. ![]() Taking but a moment, the name Cyil springs to mind. Where did this name come from? You simply cant remember anything. You look around for more clues on why you thought about the name, but you cannot seem to find anything. Just more people, staring forward. You realize the room is actually quite big, there must be dozens of people here, maybe hundreds, yet there's enough room to move around easily. You guess what with the light being the central point of the area, it makes sense that people who notice their surroundings would eventually end up here. You decide to call out to other people. There may just be someone who's too petrified to look around, and hasn't thus noticed the light in the center or you moving around. As you do so, you first realize there's no voice coming from your throat. Do you even know how to talk? Wait, how DID you understand that man earlier?.. Was he a man? You start to get a headache just thinking so much. A headache? Words that you couldn't remember a moment ago appear in your thoughts, and each of them correctly make sense. You realize you may have either a knack for learning or you're slowly remembering words because of their occurance. Despite your failing earlier, you try again. Even if it's just a scream of nonsense, sound HAS to come out, doesnt it? As you yell, you again realize no sound comes from your throat.. but, your chest feels strange. Chest? Another word.. Some tingling feeling, and then; your voice suddenly yells out, a slightly high-pitched voice. And you realize the earlier tingling has extended beyond your chest. You fall to the floor, breathing heavily. Something is wrong. Or is there? Maybe this is supposed to happen.. You feel extremely hot, maybe a fever?.. And just as sudden as it came up, it all vanished. You're laying there, on the floor, blinking at what just occurred. You dont feel any different, yet, as you get up, you realize there's a minor shift in weight. While you are astounded by your own sudden knack in finding differences, you fail to notice why your balance has changed.. that is, until you look down for a moment. Where did those come from? Was thinking of a name and gender enough to change yourself? You look around, to see if anyone has noticed your sudden change, but alas, it is fruitless. Nobody seems to have noticed at all, and your earlier yelling apparantly didn't have any effect either.. You look at everyone's clothes for a moment. They're all so dull. Like large robes with minor patterns on them. Completely devoid of color... Color? Again, whats with these words just popping up... But as you look down at yourself, you notice the same bland white on your own outfit. You are pretty sure that the earlier man was wearing an outfit that was more different from what everyone was wearing, and it had obvious shades of green and red.. Did he decide on those colors like that? Did he perhaps change his own outfit, too? You look at your shoes, and decide you want the same color green as the man had.. And as you think about it, they slowly turn that color. Suprised, you shock back, and the color immediately vanishes. It doesnt seem to take much to change things about yourself, but I guess you have to be 100% sure you want that change before it actually occurs. After all, as you were thinking of green, you were doubting if you really wanted that color.. Wait a sec.. green, red, white.. shoes? The fact you're suddenly learning so much words at once make you realize it's useless to keep thinking about it. So words pop up. Okay, it happens. Good. Great. You look around once more. While you're waiting, you might as well change this outfit, see if it's probable. You notice everyone is... wearing some beak-like mask. What's a beak?.. you remember it being sort of like the mouth of a bird, but.. what are birds?.. And.. It really is no use. Despite your earlier decision to stop thinking, you wanted to test it once more, and while words pop up, it's just not worth it. But lets think for a moment. Things people seem to share about their outfit.. Beak-like masks.. something on their ears, like large feathers, miniature wings.. large robes, short robes, there's someone over there in full medieval armor... As for pants, some have them under their robes, others have their robes covering that area. Big skirts, long skirts.. Looking at the variation of all of those people, you actually realize there's a big amount of difference between the individual people, but as you look at just the sheer amount of them, they all have one thing really in common; everyone has wings. And that white color, obviously. But also those.. there are bat-like wings, demonic wings, angel wings, eagle wings.. and.. You realize that looking around so much has caused you to subconciously think about what you want to wear. You're pretty sure you didnt have a beak on your own face a moment ago, yet now you do. You have a skirt over a robe and.. this.. really doesnt work out. It's uncomfortable and it's a strange mix and match.. While the beak-like mask seems pretty cool, you wonder if it suits you. You take a deep breath, noticing the mask moving correctly with your mouth's movement, and sit down. You've got time, lets think of a proper outfit.. you think you've got time anyway.. oh well. I think this needs no more explanation. Though it does need a bit of admitting; I like odd outfits, and the beak-like masks came from an old idea I had. If you guys decide against it, I guess it'll be left unused, but damn. Anyway yeah, decide an outfit. I want, to be precise, the following info: Beak-like mask: Yay or nay? And if yes, what bird should it emulate? Note that this will be practical, so if you decide on a bird with a long beak, it WILL be shorter. Ears: Again, yay or nay on ear pads. And if yes, what should it be? Feathers? Or something like the circular things on MMBN's netnavis? Chobits ears? Maybe you guys actually want something like cat ears instead of normal human ears altogether. Hat: A hat's a hat. Dont be hating the hats. That's what TF2 is for, to hate on hats. Gloves: While unmentioned in the story, some of them wear gloves. Others have claws. Our character could have no gloves, if that's more proper. Shoes: Again, be specific. Like the gloves, these could also be animalistic claws instead of shoes. Unlike the gloves, however, our character will have shoes. Outfit: Is it a shirt? A robe that covers the entire body? Seperate this in 'upperbody' and 'lower body'. And first and foremost: Be creative. Valkies are quite the changing creatures, and I doubt anyone would look odd at their outfit. Just think about the fact that your outfit has to make sense. I only want ONE design per person, and to follow the following list: This list Note that if your outfit has one body piece (i.e. robes) that you do NOT need to seperate the two body parts. It just makes more sense. And one last rule: Nothing too modern. Or futuristic. I mean, shirts and such are okay, but just think it's slightly more.. ah.. medieval-ish? Eh. Just be creative. X3And yes, I have ideas of my own. I just figure this is a good point to ask for more user input. Real story starts in about.. two or three more of these moments, give or take. I JUST REALIZED I COMPLETELY FORGOT TO MENTION COLORS. WE NEED COLORS. Think bright colors, nothing moody. Think more 'Team Fortress 2' less 'Fallout 3'. Edited by Speedy, Jul 14 2011, 08:20 AM.

Beak-like Mask: I'd say yeah, maybe one modeled after an eagle Ears: Regular human ears are fine with me Hat: A green hat with a single feather on the right side Gloves: Not necessary Shoes: Simple leather boots, preferably a dark blue Outfit: I'd say a robe long enough to cover a bit more than the knees, with a shape on the back of it like . The colour of the robe would be a bright green (same as the hat) with some dark blue lines on it. The thing on the back would be purple.I hope I did that right |

White from the collarbone to the stomache area, separating in two directions to a few inches below the hips. Starting from elbows, sleeves are black.
