PSO2 being free-to-play came as a pleasant surprise for me. Releasing it on the Vita and smartphones...Hmm, not sure how to feel about that one. Though, this means I can play it anywhere! That's cool. I'm quite curious to see what they will do with this. It's been a while since Sega has pulled anything like this with Phantasy Star. Sega of America, don't you dare ruin this for me. Then again, I could always play the Japanese version...

http://operationrainfall.com/phantasy-star-online-2-open-beta-incoming/ *proceeds to download JP client* I can't wait! Even though I'm probably not going to be able to do much with it. |

Confirmed for doki-doki tier.

Finished the tutorial quest a few minutes ago. Definitely enjoying the game so far~ I just need to get my PS3 pad recognized. -I wanna see if it's easier for me to play with that or just basic keyboard controls. |

Mags are ridiculously picky. x: You apparently can't constantly feed them- -And I can't pin-point the exact amount of time it takes for them to eat again. I'm just assuming it's about 10minutes which is kinda bluh... -Anyway: Lv. 9. Woohoo~<3 (Like tha'ts really an achievement) |

Mags have always been unable to constantly feed in PSO. the recharge time in PSO was about 3.5 minutes if you were curious. |

Mmm. Makes sense then. Thankies bunches~<3 I'm pretty sure it's longer than that now...I think. @~@ -Maybe I just take too long and forget, and by the time I remember, 10minutes have passed. I'm considering switching from Hunter to Ranger at Lv.10, just to try out Launchers. -Wire-Lances have decent range, but I'm so not used to being close-range melee in an MMO... --It feels way too foreign of a playstyle.[/complaining] Edited by Milk, Jun 23 2012, 11:56 PM.

I used to set a timer and feed mags while doing homework. They're very time consuming things and hard to keep up with in a party of four. I still haven't gotten a chance to boot up the game yet, but I'm really excited to do so. And there are some rumors of an English version coming soon, based on some file names in the beta. |

Oh? Good to know. I'm looking forward to that reveal, whenever it happens. -I doubt it'd come out anytime within the remainder of the year. (Probably CBT/OBT) --But Cedi and a few others are really looking forward to the ENG announcement. Timing it sounds like a good idea. I believe there's an Emergency Maintenance going on for the next few hours--So I'll have to do that later. -Afaik, most (probably all) of the VE players play on Ship-7~ --So I'm guessing we'll see you sooner or later~? :3 |

I'd like to argue that I'm the most excited for the English announcement... >_> I'm really hopeful about the filenames, since a similar leak showed every level in Sonic Generations from just the demo. Other evidence includes the existance of the American Sega logo attached to some things (the American one is a darker shade of blue) Here's the link if you're curious: http://segabits.com/blog/2012/03/10/phantasy-star-online-2-alpha-version-hints-at-english-localization/ My Japanese is non-existant. Me playing the beta is just to get a taste of the gameplay... I doubt I can get any real playtime or knowledge from it. I'll play it some, but I don't think I'll make a good Force without being able to read Japanese, which kinda limits my options. I want to try out the new Ranger though: it looks far more fun than it was in the original, where I pretty much exclusively played as Hunters and Forces. (Hunewearl and Fonewearl usually). |
