Alright, so I had a pretty busy semester, and I haven't been here in a couple months. I don't have the artwork or learnsets done for my 'mons yet, but I have this much. I'll edit this once I've figured the rest out. I wanted this to be a Ghost/Steel type family, but I saw at least one other 'mon with that typing, so they don't have to be ghost/steel if doing so would be excessive. Rather than being a three stage progression, it starts out with a chibi form, and depending on factors I haven't decided on, it can evolve into one of three forms with a specific focus. The idea behind Gtron:/C is based on a learning machine. It starts out as a jack of all trades, then evolves into one of three 'mons that fill a specific niche. But hopefully, we'll have more discussions as soon as Summer rolls around..., (or for any of you Aussies, Winter) Edited by PincherD, Jun 3 2012, 04:08 PM.

Fairly sure I've given up.

unLZ confirmed. Along with that, RHEA, APE and NTME. Since those four are what I used to pull that little stunt of mine. Edited by Speedy, Jun 3 2012, 04:01 PM.

I didn't really understand how to use unLZ, tis why I wasn't actually able to validate it..., but... I'll definately validate that if that's what you used. EDIT: Please, if anyone still has some questions, don't be afraid to ask me or someone else who contributing greatly to this project, like Speedy or Overlord SoS. I should also probably mention what those other programs do. RHEA, aka 'ROM Header Editor Advance'.. is.. a Rom Header Editor. You can change the ROM codes for games, essentially making them a tad more personal. APE, aka 'Advanced Palette Editor'.. name says enough. It's used to properly re-edit the Pallettes in. NTME, aka 'Nameless TileMap Editor', is what you would use to create the tilemaps, to change the sprites with. It's a big process, and you need this to properly work with unLZ. |

Status Update: Validated Programs: >IconEdit >AdvanceMart, (P.S. Special Thanks to Speedy for getting it to work) Have yet to test: >GoldFinger Hex Editor >Poketronic Sorry for the shorter post for the testing. However, I might as well ask of you guys this. If you people could start making some reference pictures for some Gym Leader ideas, that would be very appreciated. People who are interested in making some reference art for anything else, please share that with me so I know who is doing such. |

Warning: Earlier I mentioned RHEA as potential program. While it IS, and I wont back down on that, AdvanceMart has a habit of not working on roms with edited rom headers. Do not change the rom header of a game unless you're certain you're not gonna use AdvanceMart again. |

Welp..., I just realized something... I have a checklist that's almost complete with hacking tools..., however... There's still couple things we still need to check out the things for such as you know... 1. Changing the text of people, i.e. Random NPCs that have absolutely nothing to do with the story... and NPCs that actually do stuff with the main protag. Goldfinger is definately an option and I do know the general jist of working the text aspect of it, however... I don't necessarily know how to locate certain events on the darn thing... 2. Items, Actually hacking in custom items into the game or just editing old ones, i.e. Removing them or changing their effects 3. Changing certain events, I have a Legendary Pokemon event editor, (albiet..., it barely does any of the work...) Goldfinger works here to..., though..., figuring out the actual code for each little event that happens in a big event, is very hard to do..., but, it's defnately possible 4. Music, We have no Custom Music Tracks yet..., SAPPY may be an option..., but... I haven't gotten it to work yet... sadly... I really need some feedback from the rest of you guys if you want to get this done. Some help would be appreciated as well with this "hacking in" business. I know Speedy and Gaia have been helping out. With that aside..., what I also need from people, even those who can't draw, (I've said this before as well), some designs for not only Gym Leaders, but even some other trainers as well, Some of the Overworld Trainer Sprites don't match the Trainer's battle sprite... And also, there are some designs that wouldn't feel right if kept in the game. Thanks for reading. Please respond if you can and let's keep this ball rollin'. |
