The soul of a forgotten file

I say it's about time I update this, what do you guys think? > Craft a wooden pickaxe After some time thinking you decide to make some mining tools, somehow you know that it's essential to your survival. So you place down some wooden planks and sticks in a such a fashion that it resembles a pickaxe on the crafting bench. Another seemingly stupid idea, you're just full of those, aren't you? Lucky for you this is a different world from what you're used to- eh... what are you used to? You can't seem to remember anymore, the memory is fading. Anyways, things work much differently here, the materials laying on the bench combine into one object almost instantly, a wooden pickaxe. You have no choice but to associate such an event with magic of some kind, but really, it's just that the law of physics are different. Without so much as another ridiculous thought, you grab the wooden pickaxe and your crafting bench and set off to the nearest cave. Not the best cave, by the looks of things, the entrance is rather small and narrow and there aren't that many split passageways. But you can see coal on the wall and that's all you really need at the moment, right? You jump down into the cave and take a swing at the cool. Quite a good bit is collected once you're done, along with some cobblestone that you created when you had to break off some of the stone wall. With the coal in your hand, you glance deep down the cave. It's a lot bigger than it appeared to be. Free response, please refer to previous sections if you are confused about your surroundings. mmn, yes, stone pickaxe > wood pickaxe, but it may also be about time to consider constructing a building for the evening. We'll need a door. so we might need some more wood? (I'm unsure, beats me) So, dirt house. wood house, stone cave house? o3o? I'm leaning towards a cave house to start. it's convenient if we're right there collecting ore and stone and stuff. |

Well the cave house has its perks, but then it's harder to have an emergency exit, so a dirt house not built in a hill, and sure get some wood ya need a door. EDIT: You have no idea how much I've been trying to remind you about this, no idea. Edited by Rising Amaterasu, Mar 15 2012, 05:56 PM.

I agree with Kuma on this one. Quick access to minable materials, and who needs a emergency exit when theres no such thing as avalanches in Minecraft? |

Well, mainly due to the chance that a monster might be right on that hill you built your house in, and he doesn't have a sword, wait, make a stone sword, you have the materials and it is valuable. |
