In all truth everyone, one can become better at drawing simply by pushing them selves to become better and by learning from others. One isnt just born able to draw good, its a skill which is harnessed and honed. |

Im actually being serious here you guys. Drawing is a skill that can be improved like any other. Sure it takes a certain mind set and a heck of a lot of determination and time but you all do have a lot of capability to improve. Hell I've improved greatly throughout my life. |

Spoiler: click to toggle And I fully agree. I've been drawing for 6-7 years now and the only way I've gotten as 'good' (meaning I want to be better but I'm satisfied with my work) as I am now has been pushing my limits and drawing nearly every day. Edited by Michiyo744, Aug 14 2012, 06:45 PM.

Fairly sure I've given up.
|
But still, y'know.. all my attempts at getting better at drawing end up with me wanting to throttle people who say you only need practice.. |

Well, After a year or so, I've finally got a something to work with. I've found a style that I like. But it really is kinda just practice. If you focus, you don't even notice the time going by. |

Confirmed for doki-doki tier.

What Kai, Michi and Roxxy are saying is exactly it. Sometimes it takes more practice for others, but it's always possible to improve. I, personally, hate most of the stuff I draw. Mainly because I just don't feel like it's as good as it could be. -But I do like the fact I have a large variety of styles I can work with. Speaking of which: Moar practice. A Miu I'm not fond of. A fox can be a ninja. Not a French maid. Being a Hero is hard work.

What Milk said here is true, I my self look at some of the things I do and feel I could do so much better. Fact is Im always trying to improve, so as much as others feel Im good at what I do, I still think I have LOADS to learn and to experiment with ^^; So trust me when we ( and by we I mean every artist whos either starting out or going pro ) say that it takes time and practice, its that IT takes time and practice. PS: Awesome stuff there Milk ^__^ Edited by kaizer33226, Aug 14 2012, 10:39 PM.
