Internet Relay Chat, a channel is basically a chat room. The 'problem' with IRC is that you need an additional chat program while many people either have or don't mind installing Skype. IRC clients are also a bit harder to use than most instant messaging clients. |

Of course I know what Vocaloids are, didn't you see my signature? I consider myself a fan, maybe not as big of one as you, but it's definitely something I'll occasionally listen to. Indeed, and seeing as you're a scientist, I'll assume you're also one? Admittedly, that's kinda a risky assumption. But I'd be more than willing to participate in a couple experiments. As long as they produce awesome results and aren't fatal. Ah, thank you for the explanation |

The Impossible Scientist!
|
Yep, I'm a time traveller! I was there when they discovered the wheel. I, of course, stole said wheel. That thing's going to be valuable one day >:3 As for the experiments? Well, the experimentees usually don't survive, but the experimenters? They never die! Well, except for that once, but I told him to leave the laser eyes alone. So, you might want to be on our side of the experiments

Bringing THIS baby back
|
Greetings, it is I, Spiritomb108, VE's resident Odd Keystone. Time. The ever-flowing river... And it seems you have washed ashore in ours. Well, welcome, I am a Pokémon. I am owned by Sinnoh League Champion Cynthia, and if you maybe wondering why I do not appear to be a regular Spiritomb, I hacked myself for my Master's benefit. The color itself was my choice. So, I hope you feel welcome here in our present, which is now also your present. Edited by spiritomb108, Dec 30 2012, 07:33 AM.

Interesting, well, I did say participate, that doesn't mean I have to be the one experimented on. So if I joined you in your experiments, I'd be able to run some highly dangerous and unstable tests on I hope so too. Though, it'll only be my present till my mission is over. After that, I'm off to my next 'present'. |

The Embodiment of Earth
|
Hello there and welcome to VE. I'm Gaia, your resident Embodiment of Earth... Kind of says that in my signature and in my title. Don't even know why I have to tell anyone anymore. ... Anyways, if you need any continents moved... Don't let me know! I'm still training, and I'm nowhere NEAR that good yet. I've got a long time to practice. Perhaps we'll meet up when I'm in my old age? (Note: Gaia's lifespan is NOT limited to that of a normal human's.) Anyways, enjoy your stay, and peruse about here. Perhaps you'd like check out the RP and Writing section? You seem to enjoy acting as your online persona, so it's only a healthy suggestion from myself. Oh! Also: I'm Retro's son! (Not in actuality, we reside on different continents.) You'll probably learn all about that soon. Until then, try to stay on the experimenter's side. |

Fairly sure I've given up.
|
I believe the answer to this specific question would be a negatory. There are not several other people who have online personas they use regularly.. Pretty much EVERYONE has an online persona they use ALL THE TIME. As for me.. I tend to RP alot, but I can keep my RPing out of intro posts and most everywhere outside of the RP section, up until someone else starts it. Which they have.. so... If anything, we've already covered multidimensional travel, and the fact you seem to have ended up in this world we call the Vagrant Epochers forum tends to make me wonder if you've accidentally stumbled upon the place as you travelled back in time, or if it was your intention to land at this specific hub outside the realm of normality. Regardless of which it is, I say to you, welcome to Vagrant Epochers. I am Speedy, the current representative for this realm's opposite to Corruption.. the forces of Awesome. Not to be confused with the one known as the Awesome Elementalist, who shares his traits with me, but hails from a different dimension where the mysterious force known as Awesome is one that is only perceived as a means of describing something fantastic. You can tell the difference between them as he is mostly accompanied by one other named Turbo. I have yet to meet my own dimension's Turbo, and I fear I may never will. I believe the problem with realizing the differences between us is so difficult as I'm essentially the same as him, except my abilities are mostly based on Awesomeness, whereas his are more focused on technology and his innate elemental abilities. I share those abilities, but they are not quite on the same level, especially as I tend to entwine them with my Awesome abilities. Regardless, most of these abilities are created to avoid those who tend to have the dark ability known as 'godmod', and is a natural counter to those. Simply being Awesome enough to not being affected by their abilities works every single time.. If anything though, the force of Awesome is mostly limited to this specific realm, so I have hardly any reason to leave it. Which is basically my excuse for not RPing with him so often. I also just realized that this is the longest welcoming post I've written in quite a while. I suppose my nature as RPer shines through a bit too much lately. Again though, welcome to VE. |

The fact you don't like Skype kinda makes that point invalid :l |
