Why so sad?!

For whoever wondered about connectivity to Gen 5, that is easy. DS Download Play will easily allow the DS to connect to the 3DS, or to another 3DS, so the same mechanic they used to link Gens 4 and 5 will work for 5 and 6. For the one who said no Gen 3 remake, don't count it out JUST yet. My theory for this is somewhat twofold. For one, the two generation remakes we have had so far were both on different consoles, and they've very much completed their potential to improve the style on the DS at this point so it couldn't so anything like what HG/SS did compared to DPP. Secondly, they had the development kit for the 3DS since before B/W came out. And so many Pokémon games have come out for the DS at this point, more than on any other console (Nine actually! 5 "sets" if you will). It would be completely foolish to STILL be developing another DS game when they've had the 3DS dev kit for something like 3 years now, and it would also be foolish to release games from the same generation on two different hardwares, so it makes sense that Gen 5 does not have any Gen 3 remakes. My theory is that there WILL be a Gen 3 remake, but after the second set of X/Y comes out (however they do it, be it Z or X2/Y2 or something else entirely). This way, they can use the much improved style of the 3DS generation, but have the time and the capacity to improve on said style, like HG/SS did for DPP. Just a thought. The fire starter is clearly the best, no questions asked. Opinions are nice, but come on that is like the cutest pokémon in existence

Let's become someone else. Perhaps with more depth of character.
|
We know not if "Gen 3 remakes" will include an update for gen 1 as well. Also, gen 3 remakes are more likely to occur between XY and whatever its updated edition(s), as they've already hit the 10 year anniversary of R/S. (If you'll recall, LG/FR were released between R/S and Emerald. Don't doubt that it may happen again.) |

Fairly sure I've given up.
|
Keep getting rumors on Fire/Psychic, Water/Fighting and Grass/Dark. Lots of people wanting it to happen. We can only wait for Game Freak's next announcement. |

Die? No! Became stronger, yes!

Because people know that if they pick the Grass starter it will be useless for the rest of the game. x_x It happened with Meganium and Serperior. Grass types always have poor movepools, typically have poor offensives and they always have so many weaknesses that are exploited by almost every NPC trainer. At least the Fire-type starter always hits hard and the Water-type starter is reliable and can always be used as an HM-slave! I find the plausibility of a Generation III remake to be low. Pokemon from Hoenn can still be traded forwards to Black and White 2 as they were created after the generation split that added EVs, IVs and Natures to Pokemon and trapped millions of Pokemon in Gen I and II. What I find far more likely is Nintendo re-releasing Ruby/Sapphire and Emerald to the Wii U's virtual console. It might include a feature to transfer your Hoenn Pokemon directly to X and Y. Nuh uh! I chose him in both Black & Black 2. He had his chance. Next time I'm going with Samurott! |

Hello~
|
I actually rather like Serperior in Black 2 (I used Samurott in Black). It had a tad bit more variety in movesets. Still prefer Samurott more, but it's not exactly useless. As for X and Y...I'm not going to see anything about this game. I want to play it blind...with Fire starter. |

Bringing THIS baby back
|
I picked Samurott in B2 because he was the only Gen 5 starter I had yet to choose. Only time will tell which Gen 6 I will pick, but for now, I provide, a little incentive to choosing a certain Pokémon. Completely Harmless

The Master Pedant

I'm not really interested with Pokemon anymore, frankly. It's not going to get much different, and some new models don't sound like it'll change that. |
