I kinda changed Tree of Angels to be entirely different. It's still in somewhat of a game idea format, but i tried to make it so that it was a little versitile. It's not really as much creative writing as it is a writing idea.
I'll even include a rewrite of a passage i wrote to make it count for writing a little bit more. I rewrote it to fit with the story a bit. I'll be at the very end so yeah.
Story It’s been two years since Crystallia was destroyed by war. With Queen Lorelei now dead, a new leaf has been turned for this mystical country; a new government has been appointed. But this change proves to be more than meets the eye. Inside a beautiful and legendary crystal palace is where Queen Lorelei used to reign. Deep inside the palace secretly are eight colored pillars radiating with a vital substance called crystal energy. There are many people who seek this powerful substance for selfish and even sinister purposes. Fourteen-year-old orphan, Aiden, loves nothing else but writing about his fantasies in the palace garden. He would write all afternoon until he falls asleep in the evening. Until one day the government began to ban everyone from the palace and its garden. When Aiden tries to get his favorite writing spot back, he’s thrown into adventure when he learns that the government is trying to hide a sinister plot. Join Aiden and his friends, Rima, Travis, Helena, Ethan, and Grace as they try to rescue the Tree of Angels from the clutches of an evil new government and save existence.
Crystallian Mythology (aka important points to notice) -Deep inside every soul is a crystal. This crystal contains the code of your very being. We call this a "crystal code". If this crystal code were to be destroyed, you will slowly disappear from existence without a trace or another life. Because you see, when you die, your crystal code is passed on to another life somewhere else in the universe. Without crystal codes, nobody would exist. Also, the key to every Crystal Code is a glowing substance called crystal energy (which radiates from eight colored pillars in the crystal palace). Crystal energy is also the core substance in all beings and is even more precious than blood in a human. There are eight different types of energy; pink, red, blue, orange, purple, yellow, black, and white. It's a legend in Crystallia that states that a young man created Crystallia as the first piece of existence, fell in love with one of his creation beings, and had a family with her. He died but it's believed that there are still some of his descendants in Crystallia. Lorelei is believed to be one of those descendants. He was branded as the Clockwork Warrior because of the strange markings around his grave that resemble a clock.
characters (this time including some side characters and antagonists) Aiden- Age: 14. A young orphaned boy who spends his time writing about his fantasies in the crystal palace garden. He’s really the abandoned son of Crystallia queen who was killed. He's surprisingly an excellent swordsman, despite the fact he has never wielded a sword before. -Short, blonde hair, brown eyes, casual clothes.
Rima- Age: 14. A girl who’s from the same orphanage as Aiden. She’s an employee for a talent agency in Emerald City; using the money she earns to help the children of the orphanage. She is also one of the descendants of the Clockwork Warrior. She’s an amazing healer as well. -Short, black-blue hair, dark blue contacts (original eye color brown), dresses very stylishly.
Travis- Age: 15. A boy from the same orphanage again. Though thought to be dead after disappearing two years ago, he is working for the Crystallian government as an assassin. But he betrayed them after learning of their intentions. His main weapon of choice is a pistol, but carries a hunting knife his father gave him. -Dark brown hair, almost black eyes, wears his old government uniform for first half of the story.
Helena- Age: 7. A little girl who becomes attached to Aiden as a “little sister” of sorts. She constantly follows Aiden around, even into trouble. She’s oddly good with magic, and it’s said she used to be a magician’s daughter. -Long, curly, platinum blonde hair, violet eyes, wears a child’s princess dress.
Ethan- Age: 10. A rich little boy who’s the chairman of a secret organization set to overthrow the new Crystallian government. He hates Travis with a passion. He’s an excellent dual-wielder. -Light brown hair, blue eyes, and a suit.
Grace- Age: 21. The caretaker and guardian of the orphanage. She’s believed to have called the orphanage home some years ago. She protects the children with the help of her trusty rifle. -Shoulder-length, curly, dirty brown hair, blue eyes, glasses, wears very business-like clothes.
Lily- You will be asked if you are a boy or a girl. If you select “girl”, Lily will be the character following the action. She has been put to sleep for a few years and this is her dream. -Short, blonde hair, dark blue eyes. Wearing pajamas.
Liam- You will be asked if you are a boy or a girl. If you select “boy”, Liam will be the character following the action. He has been put to sleep for a few years and this is his dream. -Short, blond hair, dark blue eyes. His hair is slightly curled on the bottom from hearing a cap. Wearing pajamas.
(please note Lily and Liam are basically the same character and that Lily will be this character if it turns out to be something else.)
Atsuko- The brave and quiet former leader of Queen Lorelei's guardians. She was the first one to discover Lorelei's death. She can summon a mysterious type of crystal on the fly. -Short, black hair. Dark blue eyes. Wears a special uniform in sort of a casual style.
Cecilio- The book smart half of the Angelous Twins. He spends most of his time studying and focuses on learning new techniques. He treasures his rapier which he was presented with upon becoming one of Lorelei's guardians. -Short, golden brown hair. Grey eyes. Wears very distinguished clothes.
Felix- The comedic half of the Angelous Twins. He's very laid back, and prefers to be out on the field to learn new techniques; unlike his brother. He also likes making jokes and puns whenever fitting. -Short, bronze-ish colored hair. Grey eyes. Wears almost a knight style uniform. Nyanya- She used to be Queen Lorelei’s main servant and guardian. She is manipulated into accepting and becoming part of the Crystallian government. -Long, black hair in pigtails, pink eyes, glasses. Cat ears and a bunny tail. Wears rather skimpy clothing.
Irene- A nocturnal member of the Crystallian government. She was one of Lorelei’s guardians but was killed in action during the war. She was eventually brought back as a vampire with little memory of her former life. She still has the mark where she was killed. Irene can also invade the dreams of people, including the dreams of those from other worlds. This is how she gets her fill of blood without being detected. -Rose blonde hair, reddish eyes, wears an old styled short dress.
Aira- The youngest of Lorelei’s former guardains. She’s working in the Crystallian government, however that’s an undercover job for Ethan’s organization. She has the ability to teleport, even between worlds. -Black hair in a bun, dark blue eyes, wears a different outfit all the time.
Nathan- A young boy from the orphanage who was chosen to work for the Crystallian government. He must work against his old friend, Aiden, if he wants any hope of being adopted by Adonisus. He also likes Rima for several reasons; one of which very little know. -Light brown hair, blue eyes, wears very rebellious style clothing.
Douglas- A member of the Crystallian government and one of Lorelei's former guardians believed to have killed her. He can call forth disasters, but doesn't quite have the strength to do so. He needs to take energy from others' crystal codes to do such a thing. For now, he can summon petty rainstorms. -Medium, black hair. Orange eyes. Wears almost all black.
Adonisus- The leader of the Crystallian government who wants power over all crystal energy so he can rule existence. That is why he ordered Douglas to kill Queen Lorelei; so he can take control of the palace and the pillars radiating crystal energy inside. He also has a major love for Grace because she looks like his former lover.
The passage: "The Crystal Palace" I remember it like a dream, or was it a dream? A dense forest hid tiny villages and with two big cities in the distance. I turned around to see a large silver gate looming before me. Glistening in a strange moonlight, it opened for me as if it were expecting me. Lush green grass coated the garden ahead, with a stone walkway and fountain in the centre. The sweet scent of alien flowers assaulted my senses, and a bright aquamarine moon shone largely behind the scene… It almost seemed peaceful. Yet something told my conscience that there was something wrong. I continued down the stone walkway curiously. I eventually came to the sight of a huge palace of sparkling pale and royal blues. It stood hundreds of feet above me when I walked up to the redwood door. The door opened, again as if someone was expecting me. Yet when I looked inside the castle was empty. The light was coloured a blue-green between the crystal walls and the moonlight. Something turned my stomach, but I continued walking anyways. I eventually came to the throne room. That, too, was empty. A large golden throne sat in the centre of the back wall, among many beautiful stained glass windows. The windows seemed to display a mysterious story that I could hardly explain on my own. There was nothing for me there however, so I turned back and chose another path. This hallway I chose was darkening with every step, unlike the rest of the palace. The scent of death began to attack my nose, so much that I almost got sick. The deeper I wandered into the darkness, the more apparent it became that death had visited this place. The crystal walls were stained red, and the bodies of what seemed to be maids and knights lay about. I eventually stopped at a huge black door. The smell of death was at its strongest at that very spot. I pushed open the door; I knew something was very wrong. Several pillars stood around the room, some marked with a different tarot card, then eight of them glowing different colors each, marked with a colored rose. I touched one of the glowing pillars. It felt as if there was a strong power being preserved inside of them. I looked at my hand and it had the same pink glow as the pillar. The scent of death then regained my attention, this time so strong that it was overwhelming. I turned around to see a gold cage partially stained with red, and a young girl imprisoned inside of it. She was dead. An apparent murder. The sound of the door opening startled me at that second. I hid away and watched as a young cat-eared girl and a taller man came into the room. The man began to pick open the lock on the cage, then opened it. The girl looked uncomfortable, like she didn’t want to come here. My eyes watched the man though as he picked up the dead girl’s corpse and carried it away, the cat-eared girl following. I sneezed then covered my mouth out of shock, hoping no one heard me. It was apparent no one could hear me though, so I followed the man and the cat-eared girl out the door and left the palace to check out more of this incredible world.
