Don't play with fire, kids.

I figured we might run into such an issue on this topic, but I decided to let it go anyways. Perhaps in the future, we can try to keep topics away from aspects that are limited to a only few people (even though faith is something that everyone has to some degree). There were only two submissions this month, and I certainly can't have myself win. Candy gets to pick the topic for this month! |

Aww, well that's not how I wanted to win. Ah well, a win's a win, I suppose. The next prompt shall be: "Decadence" |

Renzo is too sexy for himself

Well, I hope I'm not the only one writing on this prompt. In any case, I decided to go for a bit of an Aesop fable approach. The connection is a bit loose, but it still fits, at least I think it does. Enjoy~ Waters of Fortune

Well, I suppose I win by default then? I really wish we had more people paying attention to this topic... |

I pay attention to it, but none of the things have sounded like something I'd want to write about |

BUNNY ON DA ROOOOF

I would prefer my prompt to be more than one word, to start. A lot of the prompts I enjoy writing from are either the "finish this" or the "given setting" types of things. While I understand wanting flexibility, just having one word to feed from is kinda boring to me. Genres would work well, too, give or take a few people. Sci-fi seems to be kinda popular with a lot of our writers and character-makers; I think it'd do pretty well. Jeebs himself mentioned I'd like this idea, and I do! But I have enough trouble writing for my own, already-established characters let alone basing a story on a one-word, super-general theme. A holiday (like the upcoming Christmas) is easy enough to write about, tbch. I've got experience in that. "Decadence" feels too subjective, be it eating a delicious cake or taking part in something a little more... risque. Eh, just my cent or two. |

Min has a point there. A one word promt is just too broad and someone like me doesn't know where to start. A set premise or setting is a much better starting point than just a concept like "decadence". |
