If you didn't want that tavern burnt you shouldn't of put it in the same continent as your players

I'd say a red necklace with the symbol of a foot on fire. |

You settle on a necklace for the princess, a couple of ideas for what sort of talisman you might have on it, and keep them both in mind. There are still some other things to decide as well, such as the design of the chain itself, and what the talisman will be made of. The chain itself could be made of black, silver, or white metal, or mixtures of the three, and the links could be any number of shapes. The talisman could likewise be a metal or a combination of several, or out of an immense variety of stones or gems, which you are both less familiar and less comfortable with, but accept as a possibility. After thinking about it, silver metal seems like the best choice for the chain, since it'll last the longest and the color of metal for the chain won't be impacting much anyway. You also settle on the links being long and flat, since you assume she might be moving fairly quickly while wearing this and it would be better to not have jostling around too much. Knowing that, you set about making the links while thinking about what to do with the talisman. You're less certain on the material, so you call to mind some options, and see which one happens to strike your fancy. A) Black metal B) Silver metal C) White metal E) Pointing stone (Black, with a slight iridescence when polished. Has strange essential qualities.) F) Candlestone (Purple, glows with moderate brightness in the dark.) G) Spongestone (Gray-yellow, relatively fragile, lightweight, porous to several fluids.) H) Foot stones, in Green, Gold, or Red. I) Gemstone (Specify properties. Virtually anything is likely to exist, or at least something similar.) You could choose more than one, since the talisman could easily have more than one part. What did you prefer? Edited by Aabcehmu, Dec 15 2013, 09:04 PM.

Black metal with a red gemstone like a ruby would do nicely. |

You happen upon the idea of black metal and red gem, either as a gem cut into the shape of a foot surrounded by sharp, black flames-shapes, or as a black skull, fitted with red eyes and teeth. You like both, and neither are particularly resource intensive, so you decide to make them both. It takes a trivial amount of time to forge the metal parts, but it takes a noticeable amount of time to cut the gems, as your not very dexterous and they're not as friendly as the metal, and you end up shattering more than a couple. You complete both, though, and not without good craftsmanship. The princess is busy, though, talking with whoever, you're not really certain, so you can't show her what you've made, yet. Regardless, you've finished that task, and you can move on to another. A young woman, someone relatively new since you don't even begin to recognize them, seems to be waiting towards the edge of your little cloister in the camp, but they aren't acting like they have any pressing issues, so you don't pay them much attention. What's the next thing you worked on? A) The gun B) The voice-trumpet C) Your personal project |

Your whim leads you to working on the gun, next. You check your clock, a habit you have from your life within the mountain, and find that you've only whiled away maybe an eighth of the day. You think back to what was requested for of the gun, and recall the boy was fairly specific. He had some ideas for how to make the gun more accurate by getting the bullet to spin, and you've got a good idea on how to get that to work. You've also got a few ideas on how to make them fire faster, like splitting at the handle so you can load without stuffing anything down the whole length of the barrel, or packaging the wool and the bullet together so it's fewer motions to load. You set about making an example gun to show the boy, but when you start making the bullets for it, you're struck by the idea of making the bullets more than just packaged with wool. Adding some fire, of a bit of an explosion, but wonder what else you could add... Feel free to suggest anything you can think of. Toliingir's imagination can wander a bit, and if something just can't happen, he'll catch himself well enough. |
