What kind of restrictions? I mean if we're going to make the team OU compliant, why not just make them in OU?

What we are using is Hackmons, only because there are some restrictions in the Gen VI sections that are really stupid. Even though in Hackmons we can give our team legitly any move or ability, we still set up our teams so they can be used in OU (beta).
Here's your answer, NMS.

That's why I was asking, actually. Why use Hackmon to make an OU complacent team when you could just do it in OU? To make it OU complacent you would have to follow those 'restrictions', wouldn't you?

The OU tier, to my knowledge, is anything and everything that hasn't been straight up banned from competitive play. Only over powered stuff like Speed Boost Blaziken or Dialga, things that could easily sweep an entire team on there own, are banned from it. What "restrictions" could there possibly be in there that are disliked enough that the teams are being made in Hackmon?

Milky actually put it better than I could, here you go:

Milky sed

[21:38:59] Milk: The reason we're using Hackmon?
-Pokebank OU is experimental atm.
[21:39:08] Milk: As Pokemon Showdown is based on SMOGON
[21:39:36] Milk: Atm, anything Pokebank related (EG: OFFICIAL SMOGON G6 TIERS)
[21:39:41] Milk: Is up for grabs
[21:39:55] Milk: As they put it on the forum: "Uncharted Territory"
[21:40:18] Milk: Instead of dealing with rules consitantly flip-flopping, we go with something that has a based standard
[21:40:25] Milk: and BUILD AROUND IT with our own rules.

Basically, we're going with the official tiers and the like, with 100% legitimate movesets (making sure the move can actually be learned and isn't made Illegal) and the like, but until Smogon adds in certain moves for certain Pokemon or we actually get certain ones {Hackmon} is the category we're using.

Plus, we can't even use certain Pokemon due to Pokebank not being a thing until December. You wouldn't want to wait another month to get this started just so we can switch to VI OU, would you? I realize this is asking for people to use some shread of integrity, but since we can easily check to see if a certain Pokemon can actually learn something or not with just a few clicks, I figure using said integrity would be made quite easy.

As a note: I'm gonna be adding stuff to the OP until we actually get everything set-up and start taking challengers. Feel free to ask questions until then~

Thanks for clearing it up.

And you lost me, again. What does the Pokebank have to do with it? I thought this whole thing was going to be done via PokémonShowdown.

Once Pokébank is released, the official stats and movepools for the Pokémon not currently available in Gen VI will become available, and I imagine these Pokémon are constantly changing in the current Gen VI tiers due to their unavailability via legitimate means. I thought this was clearly stated.

Okay I think I'm almost ready with my team. I'd really like to join this but... I wanna see if someone can tell if my team is any good?
Regardless, count me in as a Fairy-type user.

Okay, there are a few people who have applied but haven't selected slots yet due to wanting to test out their teams and the like. While this is frustrating for me since more people are applying, I'm going to list the types that are currently 100% taken and I will not be accepting more of:

Steel, Fairy, Bug, Flying, and Electric. You have the other types to choose from, so I ask that you choose from those, please. If you don't like any of the remaining types, I'm sorry to say, but you're SOL.

Those who have been accepted, I'll start working on banners for you sometime tomorrow after my class; I've been taking care of some things in reality that needed some serious addressing, sorry. x:

Edit: All of the Gym Slots are full. If you want a slot now, you'll have to be a member of the Elite Four.
