International Health Organisation and World Health Organisation have found diverse health and safety issues related to workplace health and safety. This has prompted various governmental agencies to consider workplace safety as an integral constituent in leveraging the health of the working class. For achieving the above stated goal, the government has set up agencies across the globe to provide courses based on occupational safety. These agencies have penned standards for different workplaces to encourage the building up of safe work atmosphere across the world. The safety training courses help the employees to meet various health and safety regulations. A health and safety vigilant workforce will always toe the safety regulations and this will minimise workplace accidents. The courses will nurture employees to take care of the health and safety needs of his/her co-workers. They will be equipped to find swift solutions for workplace illness of their colleagues. It is the duty of employers to give training for the employees on health and safety. By doing so, he/she is fulfilling the legal obligation. The safety and health training will give a broader understanding of how to manage health and safety at workplace. The in-depth knowledge will help to plan for better safety arrangements and to implement measures to reduce workplace accidents. Safety training courses envision to build strong awareness among the employees about the importance of workplace safety and to maintain top vigil over their workplace. This will reflect in gaining better productivity and surplus profit for companies. |
