Shawn stepped forward, arrow on the bow string. There was a tense moment where everybody was ready to fight, or run. The troll stepped forward, trident raised. Shawn took his chance and pulled his string back, and realesed. The arrow flew true, but the troll dodged it, arrow barely missing his chest. The troll ran forward, and attempted to stab Shawn with the trident, but he ducked and rolled backwards. He stood up, and took spear in hand, using it's length to keep the troll at bay.

Morgrom attempted to close the space inbetween him and the troll, but to no avail. The troll had nearly entangled Morgrom with the net. This pirate captain was adept at using and exercising his arsenal. Morgrom sent a ball of lightning at the troll; it was diffused by his enemy's own.
"Ha! Ja not be tauchin' me wit ja lightnin'!" scoffed the troll.
The trident danced in the troll's hand as he did a series of whirls and intricate attacks which Morgrom dodged with some trouble.

A the troll was striking against Morgrom, Shawn unsheathed his sword with his free hand, and ran towards the troll. As the troll was about to make another attempt, Shawn used the spear to block the blow to Morgrom. The troll huffed irritation, and attempted a knee to Shawn's stomach, only to be pushed back from a shove from Shawn. The troll then stroke out with lightning, and hit Shawn in the chest. Shawn scumbled, and knelt down in pain, but got back up, a mask of clearity on his face. He charged the troll, spear and sword in hand, and attempted a slash, and nicked the trolls left leg. The troll dodged the rest of the blade, and attempted to stab Shawn in the gut, but trident met sword, and Shawn's spear met the trolls gut instead. The troll staggard, and fell. Shawn stood over the captain as it's dieing breaths escaped its body. He looked at Morgrom, no expression but exhaustion on his face. The priates also looked at their now dead captain, disbleif on their faces.

The pirates abandoned the fight, retreating to their ship. Relief and joy flooded the entire crew of The Ocean's Pearl. Orgok had returned as well. Morgrom cried out in victory and soon everyone else joined him. Everyone then began the work of cleaning the ship and tallying casualties.
“Well done. Now, let us attend to wounds and rest.” praised Morgrom.
Orgok sat down on a box, breathing hard as he waited for his blood to calm. The ship medics were out and about helping anyone that needed it.

Shawn refused any medical help that night, prefering to instead take care of his wounds himself. He later found Claira in the sotrage area of the ship, crying, and was apperntly being guarded by a snake that Orgrok had. He calmed Claira with soothing words, and they both walked back into to their room. Shawn, tired from the day, mind no longer clear, fell asleep as soon as his head touched the pillow.

Morgrom healed Orgok's wounds and left to attend to the rest of the crew. Orgok slipped away into his room to sleep off the recent battle with the aid of ale. The ship continued its course after the corpses had been thrown over the side, the blood wiped away, and the injured were tended to. Morgrom slept amidst the rubble of his room, curled into a ball in his ghost wolf form. Three hours of the trip were left.

Shawn woke up, and rolled his way upside, and laid there. If he was right, land was mabey about 2 hours away. He looked over to Claira, who wasn't in her bed! Shawn grabbed his sword, and made his way to the top deck. He spotted her by the railing, looking out to the moon. Shawn walked up to her side, and said "Worrying about something?" Claira looked at Shawn, tears in her eyes. Shawn knelt down, and asked, "Whats wrong?" Claira patted her waist, where her bag is, or should be, and pointed to the entry way to the lower decks. As Shawn proccessed this infromation, until he figured that somebody took her bag. Shawn picked up Claira, and headed for the lower decks.

Later

Shawn kepted walking around, until Claira pointed to a man, who smelled of alchoal. He had her bag, slung over his back. Shawn put down Claira, and called to the man, in an angry tone. "Hey, hey you!" The man stopped and turned, before saying, "Hey, aren't you one of the people we stopped by to pick up?" Shawn ignored the question. "What the hell are you doing with Claira's bag?" He said, before the man replied "Claira? Who's Claira?" Claira then stepped out infront of Shawn, looking away from the man. "Oh, well, anyway, this bag is mine." Shawn stepped forward, hand on hilt. "I'm not asking, give her the bag back!" He yelled. A few nearby crew members stopped to watch the fight. The man looked momentarly irritated, then through a punch, landing square in Shawn's face. Shawn staggered, then regained his compusre, before giveing an uppercut to the man. He knelt down to take the bag, before the man pushed him back and got back up. "This is my bag!" He said, before Shawn took the mans head and slammed it into the wall. The man slumpped to the ground, and Shawn took the bag, and said, "Don't you dare lay a hand on her again, you hear me in there honey?" The man spit in Shawn's face, in which then started throwing punch after punch at the man. Nearby crew members tried to pull him away from the man.

The captain was strolling the deck of the ship, running calculations in his mind and thinking about the events that had transpired. Noise from below found its way to his ears and the captain hurried his way below deck to the crews' sleeping area. He arrived to see Shawn beating one of his members senseless.
"Hey! Hey! What's going on here!?" demanded the captain.

Shawn kept struggling, but at this point, it wasn't to attack the man, it was to just get free. Shawn turned to the captian, after getting the crew members to let go, and said, "This person stole my compain's here bag." He said, raising the bag. "When I tried to retake it, he attacked me." He turned towards the man, and said, "I don't take to kindly to anyone bothering her." He then realized the spit was still on his face, then wiped it off, saying "Or people spitting at me in the face."

"Is this true?" asked the captain.
The man stood up with blood trickling down his nose and from his mouth.
"No." replied the bold man.
For a moment it seemed the captain would believe his underling's lie, but he stepped forward with a mean glare. Something about the goblin commanded complete obedience despite his small size.
"I won't ask again after this. Did. You. Steal?" demanded the captain.
"...Yes." answered the man.
"The brig. You know the rules."
Two members came up to sieze the man by his arms and dragged him off to the ship's brig.

Shawn watched as the man was dragged off, then handed Claira her bag. He turned towards the captain, and said, "Thank you, sir." He proceeded to walk off. Claira stayed behind, one to check her bag, and two, to give the goblin a gold coin she had at the bottom of the bag. She then ran off with Shawn, where they went to their rooms, and went to bed.

Two hours passed and the ship came to dock at Zumanah Island. It was midnight. Everyone at this point had slipped into a deep slumber. Morning arrived soon and with it came the noise of repairs. The sound of boots against wood came from every direction as the crew were set to work. Rahklar and Kutaka stood on the dock waiting for their companions to join them. Holes in the side of the ship had planted the seed of worry in them.
The captain went below deck, waking Morgrom first then the rest. Orgok stretched his muscles as soon as he stepped off the ship.

Shawn was walking towards the plank the led off of the ship, when Claira bolted down to the plank, and the off of sight. Shawn ran after her to see Claira hugging one of Rahklar's legs, give a carefree smile up to him. Shawn waved as he descended from the ship. "Hello Kutaka, and, Rahklar, I believe. I see Claira has took a liking to you seance you gave her that doll." He walked down the plank, and took in his new surroundings.

Goblins and trolls were everywhere going about their daily routines. Some trolls had a goblin sitting on their shoulders nonchalantly talking to one another. Stalls selling exotic fruits and furs had crowds of people gathered around them. There were goblins and trolls peddling dyes together. The scent of the salty sea mingled with that of the tropical jungle. Gadgets, trinkets, and all sorts of mechanical devices were also at work. Zumanah Island was indeed a hub of entertainment.
Rahklar smiled at Claira, lifting her up to sit on his shoulders.
"It would seem so." replied Rahklar.
"Shawn? What ja be doin' 'ere?!" Kutaka's expression was a mixture of surprise and joy.
Morgrom coughed to gain their attention.
"It was Orgok's idea to invite them along... for our quest."
Rahklar and Kutaka looked at each other.
"Uh... ja be kiddin' right, mon?"
Morgrom shook his head. Orgok shrugged, not bothering to respond.

Claira looked around on her new found perch, giggling and laughing in the process. Shawn turned towards Morgrom, then Kutaka, in a questioning matter. "Is something amiss?" Shawn thought about it, and honestly, he really didn't know what they where supposed to do.

"We'll explain it to you once we settle down. You just accepted a offer that might just kill you. And no, I'm not joking this time." said Orgok.
Shawn had accepted to join them on a adventure that involved venturing into a decrepit crypt, exploring the dangerous tropical jungle of Zumanah, and more life threatening situations. Of course, the poor lad had no idea.
