The rules for the tournament are basically the same as the TAoW 1v1 tournament. The ONLY difference is that in the group stage you CANNOT choose a matchup more then once, but you can play a matchup more then once. Meaning if you choose Carthage vs Macedon in the group stage, YOU cannot choose it again, BUT if your next opponent chooses to play Carthage vs Macedon, it is permissible. The first part is the group stage, 4 groups of 4 players each. The players will play each other in a best of 5 (first to 3 victories) using the matchup format in these rules. The top 2 players in a group advance (8 in total will advance). This tournament is invite only, so please do not go around telling other people and so on, try to keep it on the down low. The 1v1 Tournament consists of a grand total of 16 matchups that cover virtually everything that makes RTW such a diverse game. Selucids vs Armenia Armenia vs Pontus Armenia vs Rome Selucids vs Pontus Pontus vs Britons Britons vs Carthage Carthage vs Macedon Scythia vs Armenia Macedon vs Pontus Scythia vs Parthia Britons vs Greece Pontus vs Carthage Selucids vs Rome Selucids vs Macedon Macedon vs Armenia Scythia vs Macedon Money: 15k Ruleset: CWB Map: Grassy Flatlands on clear weather, no snow or rain permitted. After the group stage players will play a serious of knockout games. The first player to have 4 wins goes on to the next round, in the semifinals it is the first to 5 wins, and the finals first to 5 as well. All of this is to be played in the TAoW rule format (matchup list). CWB Rules Max 8 cavalry Max 2 Horse Archers, Horse Archers count as Cavalry only Max 6 of the same unit Max 8 archers Max 2 beserkers No artillery or elephants alowed Should a game crash at the beginning the players must play the game with the same armies. If a game should crash after the armies have engaged, save the replay and submit it to the administration for review. Edited by Aragon, Jul 31 2011, 02:35 AM.

Um, since I'm (player 4) in my group, I NEVER get to pick the first matchup (in this stage anyway)...? |

Its luck of the draw, that said its not really important since players will chose an equal amount of matchups (1 each), then if its 2-2 its a Rome vs Rome. |

Thats stupid, the person picking first will probably take their best matchup and the faction they do best with in that matchup. I'll almost always be down the first game to start with. |

Tbh Mouss, nobody asked for your opinion on the matter. Ahy probably had a bad day (like I am having) its really the only explanation on how he could lose 0-3 to you. Sweden played well I give him credit for that. Otherwise, it annoys me that everyone gets to pick first against me.

if u werent that stupid u would understand that even if the opponent picked first like pontus vs arm, and he took pont first time, the next round he would have to go arm, and then ull have adv anyway lol, that would make it 1-1, and then u pick and etc... or if u lose 0-2, u can still make it up for it by picking ur strong matchup, and try winning both games. and i had to make a point here since u were whining after sweden making u rage quit lol... |
