Bio:

Born in 1970 to a Actress and a museum curator, Lucy and Bertie, in South West London, and growing up in Luxembourg, Munich and Kingston, David was always interested in debating, helping others and making things using his mechano set. David passed school with high grades and got into Imperial Collage to study Engineering, something he loved. Duing his time here, he got involved with the local politics club and the Labour Party. After joining the labour party, David also joined the Fabian society.

After finishing, getting a 1st and his Beng in mechanical engineering, David spent 6 months finding his first job, later he joined London Underground on a graduate scheme. Another 6 months later he moved into the consult office of LU, and loved it, which he eventually moved as his job. It was not long till he became a senior member of staff, showing much promise and been very capable in job, and was highlighted by senior LU staff as one of there top prospects, and was fast tracked into a management role. Over his time, David also got involved with the trade union and became a proficient and vocal member of the RMT, having a spell as trade union rep, and becoming good pals with some senior members, including the general secretary. 1997 was a very good year, not only did Tony Blair and Labour, David was put as head of his own department, as his boss had just retired, also LU, hoping David in this new role, would become less union vocal. David spent three years here, but wanted to do more in the union.

In 2000, David stood for the deputy general secretary which he got, and kept it for two years, then soon after the general secretary himself, stood down, David stood and became the general secretary of the RMT. David found this new post challenging but rewarding, had a few little bust ups with people, even with some "new" labour people, and said a few bad things about the Prime Minister and where the party is going, He was infamous for been one of the many union bosses to really speak out against Blair and the war. But also started to redirect the RMT making it more independent but also keeping it powerful

In 2005 David stood for parliament for the Labour party, and got elected for Feltham and Heston, promising to stand up for the people, like he did for his union. He also promised to get the government to s**** of the plans of the third runway.

In his free time, David likes to spend time with his cat, playing for his local cricket team, running quizzes, going on wine tasting evenings and rideing horses. being educated in Europe David is a very good linguist, and can speak German and French fluently and can speak very good fluently and Arabic and is learning Mandarin. He is also Single
