Turn Renders into iPod Characters Tools: Adobe Photoshop 7.0 or Higher Well, most of you have probably seen those trendy iPod commercials by now, you know the one with the black figure dancing on a colored background? Well, in this tutorial I'll teach you how to take a render with a transparent background and turn it into a black iPod figure. This is very simple and requires basically no Photoshop knowledge at all. The first thing you need to do is open up your render. For this tutorial I chose Zabuza from the Naruto Anime and Manga. Make sure it has a transparent background. For best results you should use a transparent PNG, but it really doesn't matter. Now, this is fairly easy and requires only 5 clicks. Go over to the Layers Menu. Click and then go to New Adjustment Layer -> Hue/Saturation. Clcik OK on the dialog box, and don't worry about naming it. Now the settings box should appear. Find your way to the Lightness slider at the bottom. Drag the little dial all the way to the left, and click OK. Now you should have your iPod render ready for use. Add a colored background and some text, and you've got your own iPod campaign. |
