The only thing I can think that would have caused it would be the wireless routers being on the same or close to the same channel. You are correct in your assumption, the channels of both my neighbor's router and mine were the same. I was surprised that I could connect to their network because of the distance (about 200 yards). The problem has been sorted out though. Edit: Bob told my brother to tell me not to be "offended" by what he said.
