what do you mean? like somebody ripping a work with no copyright and then adding their own to it? you can put a copyright on anything that You made yourself. If somebody else made it and you just modified it you can put a copyright on it, but you have to give credit to the original. give me some examples and I'll explain |

ok, i think you've answered my question but i just want a little more indepth information, ok so i create a signature for myself 100% made by me and photoshop and Bryce so its ok to put a copyright sign on it even if it isn't copyrighted into government files, because in the US you must PAY $75 for a copyright to anything then they (the government) keeps a hold of the file for some reason or another |

On the web, or the InterWebby as I like to call it, anything you create is automatically owned and copyrighted by you. When you pay $75 dollars that is usually for books or magazines, or physical files. now, you can pay that $75 to have it copyrighted if the design is really that important you, but the only extra thing it does is ensure that you have complete ownership. According to copyright laws, anything published ont he web is automatically copyrighted the owner. It is even copyrighted if you don't put the copyright sign on it. What I suggest doing is coming up with a very tiny symbol that nobody will ever be able to see unless they magnifyt he image big time. Then, put that tiny symbol in every one of your graphics. If anybody rips it you can magnify the image and show off your signature. |

well, a official digimarc can actully cost up to $1000, so I wouldn't got hat way unless you have something extremely important, like FBI level importance this way is cheaper and easier |
