Okay I've made a very annoying discovery today. Some of you may have heard of 'studioRED', the name I was going to brand my work. Recent threads have made me decided I should google the name, to check if its free. I often display the label in this style- studio RED . I thought up this style myself, and strangely enough, the site that has the name I wanted, also uses the same style- http://www.studiored.com/ . Im currently looking for a new name. Probably along the lines of studio[SOMETHING]. Any suggestions? |

general tip from a guy who visits over a thousand design sites a day, the word Pixel is overused now. Many companies utilize the word Pixel in their titles, and it just isn't original anymore. don't be afraid to be original. Just start creating words of the top of your head. also, just look through a dictionary until you find some words you like. How about something like Studio Redux. Redux means a return, or brought back. For example, Studio Redux, returning to classic design, or something along those lines. |

I have a name in mind. studioGENESIS or studioG for short. Basically the name stands for a beginning, or creation point. I googled studio G and it came up with results, but because the other sites with the name aren't associated with the graphic side of multimedia, would that make it okay for me to use it? |

I wouldn't try it. Do something original. Come up with something that has no Google results. I seriously like Studio Redux. It has a good meaning, and it has the word Red in it. |

notice: I didnt mean to double post, you should note the dates of submitted posts. Okay here's the verdict. After stewing in my thoughts, searching for a suitable name I've come up with one. HYBRID:GEAR Some different names I might consider are: studioHYBRID gear:HYBRID element:HYBRID hybrid elements studioWORKS I'd prefer gear hybrid, but i dont know whether I should go with hybrid gear or the previously stated. which one is easier to say? which one is more creative? Ive come up with this- gear hybrid when said fast, doesnt have a pause, which may be useful when summarising the name quickly. My final decision as to which name I go with will probably not be affected by these comments. Its been hard thinking up a name and I dont want to change the name just because of comments. |

I would go with either Hybrid:Gear, studioHYBRID or element:Hybrid. My favorite is studioHYBRID. |
