Just thought it'd be interesting to see people's style when it comes to web design, graphic design, etc. So what is your style? Does your work all have a similar theme? Or does your style adjust for different things? I cant quite sum up the question properly so I'll start with myself. my.STYLE -- The majority of my work is digital-art related, though I use traditional art to influence this. My preffered style when it comes to graphics, web design, etc. is mainly vector art. I also do a lot of pixel art, but technically it isnt pixel art because I have anti aliasing and add plenty of fine details. So overall, I kinda bend the rules of both art styles, but its something you have to see to understand. Most of the sites (actually, just mock-ups because I dont have any sites that i've finished designing yet) I work on, have a recurring colour pallette style. Usually white or a lighter colour as the primary one, then two sub colours that are splashed here and there but dont really make a show. Unfortunately I dont have any online examples as of yet. |

I tend to stick to a simplistic style of art. Simple gradients, bevels, glows, shadows, etc. It makes everything flow nice and smooth and looks great for any project. |

I have a simplistic, clean style, you don't need stunning graphics especiallly if its something like a skin |

hmm remembering a post from a while back, I agree with you hacker-x. I have something to add though, having stunning graphics isnt necessarily going overboard in my opinion, its the designs that have pointless special effects that make it look far too busy. Like tech layouts, they're okay when used properly, but some designs take this tech style and throw it in just for the sake of it. |

I hate tech stlyes in any situation, except for the minor use of it in AV version 8 (don't ask). I agree, simplicity is usually the way to go, but it is nice to throw in some flare every now and then. look at 2Advanced for example. |
