Remember when you were a kid and your legs would hurt? Then you'd complain to your parents that your legs hurt and they would say, "That's because you're growing". Maybe that only happened to me. Never mind. The analogy I'm trying to strike here is that Pixelworthy's legs hurt. In a good way. Our client base is rising, the work is flowing, and we're looking for someone to help us organize all of this good stuff.

Hence our announcement that we are looking for an Account Executive.

What are the duties the Account Executive is responsible for?

  • Preparing and presenting sales pitches to communicate the Pixelworthy value proposition
  • Preparing project estimates
  • Creating sales proposals, statements of work and change request documents
  • Servicing the needs of existing clients
  • Tracking project deliverables and serving as the primary client contact
  • Organizing and monitoring marketing campaigns
  • Delegating work to our creative team

The requirements this individual must have:

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills (above all else)
  • Familiarity with Web Design & Development principles
  • A knowledge of Web Standards
  • Project Management experience
  • The ability to manage multiple accounts and deliverables simultaneously
  • A car (very important)
  • A smart appearance and a professional manner
  • Someone who is persuasive, yet diplomatic

The Account Executive can work long, irregular and unsocial hours, usually during the week although deadlines and workload can lead to weekend work. We’ll try to make up for the unsocial part as best we can. We’re not looking for a laundry list of professional degrees. What we are looking for is someone who has real-world experience managing client relationships. If you successfully ran a business yourself, you know what it takes, and you have our eye out of the gate. You’ll also have a leg up if you have read the works of Jeffrey Zeldman, Eric Meyer and Jakob Nielson, and must at least be familiar with A List Apart and the Philly Standards Organization. If you maintained accounts for a furniture store, please look elsewhere.

We welcome and encourage applicants from other Philly Design shops. You can email your qualifications to info@pixelworthy.com

Thanks for your interest. In the meantime, we'll take office-sized Advils for our aching legs.
