I have it all on, but i dont know if im meant to see some sort of program, and i dunno if im meant to be able to create databases or anything. I gave up, but as soon as im done with my work ill look into it again.

I haven't tried it myself, but a few friends have asked me for help with it. if you do ever get some paid hosting for yourself I suggest dreamhost, you get like 20 gigs of uploading space and 1 terabyte of badnwidthf or 8 bucks a month

Me and Bird-e have been having good conversations on it.....it would be great to include you..we could have realtime conversations... trust me on this one(although you have all the right not to) You wont get a virus or a hacker...just give it a try..no pop ups.... no nothing and it takes 2 seconds to download.

I just recently tried out MSN and AIM, both came with a crapload of spyware. I just spent the better part of a day reverting my hard drive to completely remove the spyware.

I think you must have downloaded a wrong version or something...cause MSN messenger has no spyware...this might sound odd..but I have to call your bluff... I dont think you even tried them out...I understand AIM..but not MSN.... anyways....If you dont want to thats fine.

Posts: 1,596 Group: Admin Member #1 Joined: July 31, 2004	maybe the spyware that came with AIM was also applied to MSN messenger. either way, I don't want any IM programs. they're a complete and total distraction for me, and if I need to chat I'll just set up a chat room on my server and send you all invites, which is a pretty good idea.

But IM really has become part of my second life, im a different person online than I am in real life. Maybe thats because what I come up with online, goes on inside my head, which people in real life cant see. Anyway, this thread has turned out rather successful, even if we're really off topic. I like this general discussion, being able to shift seemlessly from one topic to another. Just like how it works in real life. Too much am I restricted by the usual interface/flow of threads. Make a new one, post on topic, people reply on topic. It just gets tiring. When things get sidetracked and free from the restrictions assumed/imposed on us (as long as the discussion that follows is tasteful) , conversation gets a lot more interesting. I dont know if im making sense.
