Well as I began working on a roughtdraft for my site, I was looking around for good blog publishing tools. I tried Text Pattern before, but after I finished installing it and stuff I really wasnt comfortable with it..and I just flat out dont like Wordpress. So Im gonna give Movable Type a try, it has many features that seem promising. But ill find out after I really install it and play with it a bit. ((edit)) On second thought I might try out Wordpress one more time... hehehe |

i've only ever heard about movable type. I currently use wordpress, but havent gotten around to making my own layout for my wordpress blog. As long as I can reach the css, its good enough for me. |

I hate MovableType, let me tell you why. While they offer a free version for personal use, you have to pay for the full version. Using the free one means you can't make any money off the site at all, even from GoogleAds. Secondly, the interface is very difficult to use, and the only upside is being able to host multiple sites on one installation, which is useful only if you want to start a blogging network. Support for it is horrible, and it's generally outdated compared to other CMS I prefer either WordPress or Textpattern. Both are easyt o use and have a ton of features, but WordPress definitely seems to have the upper hand. |
