So to be honest whats the difference between a non valid CSS site and a valid one? if both have the same look but are CSS valid,, why would it matter..?
Also how about Flash templates?

im not really too sure, but if I were to guess, id have to say display issues. if its not valid, then it wont display properly in some browsers. Whether that be colours not showing up, div boxes overlapping, distorted layout, whatever.

I hate having to explaint his. I must have given about twenty people this discussion by now, and in the end I always get them to convert to standards. Anyway, CSS isn't for beginners. When you use CSS you'll learn that each browser displays it in a different way, so using hacks and workarounds is a big thing now a day, but that should change when IE7 is released (long story)

The main reason for having a site that validates is search engines target them specifically, especially google. Other than that it just ensures that your site is accessible to a larger audience.
