Company: Propeller - http://propellerbranding.com/ Location: Miami, FL Job Description Do you have an intense passion for information design? Would you like the opportunity to prove that usability need not be ugly? Do you have an extreme imagination and the intelligence to back up your great designs? Do you spend your free time browsing sites like A List Apart, CSS Beauty, Signal vs. Noise, etc? Do you actively participate in the blogging community? Do you understand and practice standards compliant coding? Does the idea of taking a technically complex process and simplifying it for online use excite you? If you answered yes to most of these questions then we want to meet you! Propeller is a dynamic, fast-paced branding agency in serious need of another web guru. Our interactive department is growing and we need someone who can come in and hit the ground running. We work hard to propel our clients businesses and our employee's careers. If you're looking for a great opportunity to step into in up-and-coming agency while it's still small, then look no further. Your growth at Propeller will only be limited by your own ambition. We offer full benefits, competitive salaries, a friendly (non-micromanaged) work environment, great location on Brickell Avenue (Miami) and much more. You'll never want to leave. Experience: Preferably you would have 3+ years of web design, IA and HTML experience, but we're willing to look past that if you're a prodigy. Must haves: 1. Understanding of what it takes to successfully build brands online 2. Unwavering passion for usability 3. Strong portfolio with examples of interactive work (On-line portfolios only please) 4. Great personality and work ethic 5. Working knowledge of all appropriate Macromedia and Adobe programs (Fireworks, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.) 6. Strong problem solving skills and the ability to work independently. 7. Undying devotion to meeting your project deadlines. 8. Steadfast ability to give and take constructive criticism in an environment where it is given solely to make sure that our product and team is the very best that it can be 9. Absolute commitment to getting things done right the first time Bonus Round: 1. Flash Experience - Beyond the basics. 2. Good understanding of the interactive design process outside your areas of responsibility, including: project management, workflow, scheduling, programming (ASP .NET, javascript and actionscript, etc.). Your duties will primarily revolve around design, information architecture and HTML, but you may be involved in all aspects of this process. Please note: We make a clear distinction between creative and technical work. You will not be asked to be a programmer! 3. Acceptable knowledge of print design to compliment your amazing ability with Interactive. Again, you will not be asked to do print work! 4. Ability to communicate effectively with clients, present work, and offer technical solutions that will propel customers businesses. Apply: mike@propellerbranding.com |
