I also think it would be something that I'd actually use once in a while. I'd also like the ability to turn stop or start hiding my IP address. Note: There is nothing illegal about hiding your IP address. I want a tutorial not a program!

Dedicated member Posts: 420 Group: Elite Member Member #76 Joined: June 25, 2005	I know nothing about visualbasic (another thing ive been meaning to try out but was too lazy to do), but I dont know if its possible to make something that does what you want. I'm also not actually sure if it would trick viruses and such. From what I gather, visualbasic isnt powerful enough to create something to effectively hide your IP address. But once again, i'm not entirely sure, maybe someone else knows?

I'll run some tests on the program to verify that it works through the forums. I need to know what code would allow me to modify my IP address, if I could do something like that all I'd need to do is randomize my IP address, just make sure it changes every 5 miutes or something. Someone I know has or knows someone who has coded an IP masking device but I think the programmer is in jail for DDoS attacks, go figure.

For now I'll consider easier programs to design. If anyone finds a well-written tutorial for creating a program, not the same notepad deal... something unique that isn't on every Visual Basic tutorial site. Thanks for your help!
