Well, it all started after moving into my new home. Photoshop died, and I couldn't fix it. As I peeked through my system restore points I found a small checkpoint where I apparently made some changes to the Adobe Extension Manager. Of course, that has to be the problem. I restored my computer, but upon rebooting it froze, and Windows encountered a fatal error. And now all it does is ask me for a boot disc. oh well, it seems I won't have access to Photoshop for a little while, at least until I stop by boybean's house to pick up his new eMachine desktop from him |

I made some progress last night. Windows makes an attempt to load dll files, but then freezes up after a certain point. I don't get the boot disc request anymore |

if I reformat and reboot will I lose all of the data I had on my hard drive? I'm assuming I will, and I desparately need to get the information on there, especially my PSD files. I'm thinking about just buying some more RAM for my laptop and using that as my default work computer |

Well I dont think working on your labtop will be a good idea, maybe if you buy some extra ram, but it still wont be the same. how many gigs did u say yours had? I have 3 labtops, and 1 desktop... I have my dell, which I havent used in quite sometime, basically because i gave it to my dad, I have no use for it. My Vio, which was my first love, but the screen lost its lighting so we removed the screen, so it was like a labtop without a screen, and we connected to a moniter, it had 250mb, although now its pretty screwed up.....alot of the buttons are missing thanks to my little bro....hahah...but it still works...not in the greatest condition though. Then theres my main computer, my labtop, Toshiba, blah blah blah, you know all the rest.... Its such a great comp, i can use everything and anything on it.... I have a load of crap installed on it..and so far no lagging, or freezing. I use it for school, webdesign, and when im bored... And my desktop is a custom built computer, its a comptuer for the average "joe" you know those who like jsut surfing the web..and playing games.... "Why is he writing all this stuff?" you might ask... and to be honest....i dont know either...
