You can see the pic here:

During my b-day my dad bought me a TOshiba satellite for 1500$, yes that was the grannd total, not a penny more or less. Dont get me wrong, im happy with my lap top, it has served more than needed. But the basic knowledge that I couldve bought a Powerbook for about the same price, eventhough it has 20 gigs less, bothers me.
I could have bought a mac.........
Im gonna see if theres anyway to return it since its under the warranty, maybe I can buy this MAC. I probably wont end up returning it...since my lap top has more memory...but I dont know...
I really hate this feeling....lol
what do you guys thing?
Its too late its too late....they wont let go...they wont let go...follow my foot steps through that open door...open door....It must be very under the heart that makes this place so insane youll find in time that the gates have been upon

I dont have much time to post, as im posting before school.

Your Toshiba was a good investment. I dont know if they'll let you return it for another computer.

Dont beat yourself up too much about it. Buying a mac would've been a hassle (in a sense). Purchasing mac versions of all your software (though openoffice does a pretty good job at replacing appleworks. or whatever that was called) would be the biggest downfall.

Apple says they are going to provide on-going support for PPC users, but the future of apple is intel. As with all things, the powerbook will become outdated, but I think there would be more of an impact, as there would be significant gains on the intel based macs. If it were a powermac on the other hand, it could probably hold its own against the intels once software becomes native or universal.

Im getting off track. I know the feeling. I call it a gut wrench. Not entirely sure if that's what you're experiencing. Its probably best to put it off your mind. You have an equally good machine (we already established macs dont need as high-a specs as pc's), and there will always be a next time.

Yea, Im not to bugged out about it anymore....its true though macs are about to be outdated, because in the next windows edition they will be using an OS like Mac. Thats the only reason i wanted it, and yea, it looks cool on the outside...lol

Macs are just eye candy to me, though I desperately want another. they don't affect your work, like slickplaid said, and converting software is a real hassle. Vista is gonna suck either way, and now that you can run Windows on a Mac a new Intel based Mac would be the best investment

W3rd. Hahah, actually I have no beef against Vista. Its still a step or two up from XP.

Pity that Adobe isnt going to be releasing a CS2 universal update. Instead it goes universal in the next major release, CS3.
