Well before getting into details ill leave you all with an update: June 13th: Supposably a huge show at "t-birdstudious" with Across Five Aprils (Indionala Records) and Phoenix Mourning (Metal Blade Records) after weeks of practice, we show up to the venue....the place is a trash the place is smaller then a 2 bedroom apartment (emphasis added) you get the picture...my dad shows up..happens to be there are kids on every corner of that trash shooting up on cocaine....the place doesnt provide mics to amp up our amps.....after waiting for out turn.....everyone leaves....pretty much there were probably 20 people watching us...we sold 350$ worth of tickets to play in that S****.... my dad watches and we mess up miserably..........on my way back home my dad tells me I have to quit the band, because he doesnt like the "certain lifestyle" that comes along with it. I understand what he meant, but that venue was a mistake, not to mention that whole drug thing wasnt our fault...plus we didnt know it would be that bad...to top it off.... he says i shouldnt waiste my time on the band anymore..because he says "he thinks i deserve better" some crap like that....... i obviously disagreed and tried explaining that its not the truth and that well do better to check our venues next time...I get home.. my mom sits down on the table with papers showing all of my Temporary internet files..............well Im not allowed to be on myspace.... and she found out I was on it all this time.....by printing out all the comments...but my cousin was at home at the moment and he backed me up and explained some made up story...she almost bought it...but then Zeerus left a comment (not blaming u dude, just saying teh story) saying how he hopes i come back from colombia quick.....to be continued |

That can't be good, you getting kicked out of your band because your parents don't support the lifestyle? It was just a bad place, it really isn't your fault. I can make you a program to make sure the whole thing with the temporary internet files never happens again. If you want I can make a program that makes your computer lock up after so long so you'll have to enter a password to get on your computer. Any chance your parents will still let you play in the band? |

continue... so my mom figures i was talking to Zeerus over myspace..... and with a few other comments that were left..she finds out that i was on.. BAM....computer rights taken away... my parents think i was in some evil satanic band...when yet...we were trying to do the opposite..but w.e....so yea..im grounded ... the band is continuing..and my guitar lives across the street so we destroyed our set.... (set of 7 songs just kept 2) and we droppped our guitars to C (AS i lay dying style) and were writing a new 6 song set....with more metal..and riffs....were going for the Equal Vision Wierd..and Solid State hardcore..such as Fear Before the March of Flames Crossed with AS I lay dying and The Fall of troy...... so yea.... its not over.....next summer 2007...... i will be moving out of my house..into my friends house (singer) were we plan to finish writing our EP and recording after we got a 6 song recording sponsor ship with Blue Mess Records...ty much dead for now.... so well be doing that..it will be shrink wrapped... and blah blah..then from there....Blasted Booking is putting us in there tour for winter of 2007...so for now im in my parents house....finishing up senior year in highschool.... then iill be leaving and hitting my musical career full throttle....webdesign is dead...for now..until i get my computer rights back.....so yea..i wont be around to much..but still there.... after that.... January i plan to start college.... and tour on weekends and tour between semesters..... we also had a record deal under hand with Equal Vision Records.... but due to this situation we turned it down....till next summer... wish me luck guys! any advice would really help.. |

Your band turned down a record deal because you were grounded? I've got an idea as far as your band, to get a record deal... www.purevolume.com. Many bands get their first major record label at Purevolume. Good luck with the situation you're in. |
