From -50s to 10 above. I'm guessing that is short sleeve weather.
I figured they must weather proof all the buildings up there, with those kind of temps every year.

Made a big batch of green chili today. On a whim I added some spicy Italian sausage. Turned out very yummy. :)

I have never either seen nor had green chili.. I can imagine that its plenty spicy.. I tend to avoid spicy food... My dad would bottle peppers in vinegar and pickle them for years.. that stuff was hot enough to burn a hole through steel.. When he cooked, sometimes he got a bit heavy handed with the seasoning, and I ended up with a stomach problems when I was around 15 from eating his food.. I have had to eat kinda bland ever since.

Well I can see why you would stay away from spicy food. Not all green chili is spicy. Some people make very mild ones. I just love mine on the hot side. I don't like the really hot peppers that are out there. One place I used to love to eat had one called a ghost pepper. They put one in a bottle of vodka and then made me a bloody mary one day with the stuff. I couldn't even drink it, it was so hot. Could not even imagine trying to eat one of those things.

Those things are the hottest peppers on earth.. small wonder you couldn't drink the vodka.. That would make for one eye opening drink.

BTW, your forum on AM has expired.

I know that feeling very well.. we are still waiting for the car to be repaired and because there were two accidents involved, even though it was damage to the same part of the car and all the parts were already ordered, we have to pay two deductibles ($1,000.00) Its had a major impact on our finances... Mark normally does deliveries or uses his car to do the shopping for the restaurants, so he is missing out on tip money. Plus we have to use taxi's periodically. I pretty much can use the bus system, but a couple of days a week, Mark goes to work long before the buses start running and we realized one can use the bus to go to the grocery store, but its impossible to ride the bus home loaded with groceries.

I will be sooooooooooo glad when his car is fixed.. It was a bitch standing at the bus stop the day it was -51..I seriously thought I was going to freeze to death.

That two deductible crap is BS! Plus I'm betting taxi's are pretty expensive up there.
Hope your car is fixed soon.

Tried to snow here today, but it didn't do much. :(

snowed on and off last night and all day today.. Its not fun when you snort a snow flake up your nose.. not fun at all :(

Taxi's from our place to the transit station or to the grocery store aren't to bad, around $8.. I don't want to end up in a position to try it to my work.. I can imagine it will be around $20-$25.

That's not too bad. It would cost me about $20 to get to work and I'm only about 5 miles away.

I live just under 5 miles from where I work. they charge$1.00 to pick a fare up, then 10 cents for every 32nd of a mile.. I am not a mathematician, so I can not figure out how to break it down.

Sounds like it is about the same as here. I would think they would charge more in those conditions.

Been a nice relaxing weekend. Cooking up some meat for burritos right now. :)

We had a good snow Wed night. Had to actually shovel my drive before work. Another storm coming in Sun that hopefully will bring much more snow. We need it bad, it has been so dry here. Looks like we will have water rationing this summer.

its been snowing on and off here this week.. Our road got plowed on Wednesday morning, and it started snowing Wednesday night and didn't stop till yesterday afternoon, but the forecast is calling for more snow today, tomorrow and Monday.

At least we are not getting buried like they are in the Northeast..

Send some of that snow down here!
I'd love a good 2 or 3 feet of snow before the season is over, but I don't see that happening. Looks like we will have water rationing this summer
