The mosquitoes are pretty big here, not as big as yours, they also seem kind of dumb and slow so far. Plus not that many yet. Fire season got a big boost today. Big fire burning south by the Royal Gorge, plus another one up north. Looks like big fog banks rolling in on both sides of the city with all the smoke.

I can imagine.. when I came up here to meet Mark, there was a fire burning close to Fairbanks.. we were up in the hills at a scenic overlook and I was taking pictures.. the wind changed direction and in a matter of mere minutes smoke from that fire totally obscured the view of the city. We came down from the hills in to town, and I could not breath.. I don't think there has been a year since I moved here where there hasn't been a fire burning close by.

Yeah, it's Mother Nature's way of cleaning house. Happens every year here too. The one to the north is smelling up the place worse than that big one last year that was at the edge of the city. Going to be a little cooler today, maybe they can get it contained soon.

Water, drink lots of water.
Or is it vodka?
I know one of them works!
I usually go with both, just to be on the safe side. ;)

trust me.. I have been drinking lots and lots of water.. I was stuck here alone cause Mark had gone to play magic, so I used cold wet clothes on various parts of my body to cool me down.. I didn't feel better till yesterday when Mark took me out, in the air conditioned car, to go shopping.

According to the weather wizzards, we still have another week of these temps to suffer through..

I laid in bed all morning listening to thunder. Didn't get any rain, but it is nice and cool. Supposed to be like this for a couple days. Hopefully this weather will help them get that fire out. Worst fire in the State's history. Almost 500 homes lost.

I was watching the weather channel talk about storms in your area and was hoping yall would get lots of rain to help put the fires out. It pretty sad to see all the damage the fires have done.

I am not sure you are a daddy to a human child, but you are a kitty daddy.. so on their behalf, Happy Fathers Day

Yeah, but you really can't believe anything I say. ;)

Last cool day before the 90s return. Have to say so far, this has been a cooler season. Hope it stays that way. I could do without any 100 degree days this year.
